1950x doing some mining work. Instead of disabling SMT as I had been in the past, I'm just setting affinity within Windows now with the same result.  Actually, the PC is smoother now, but mining output remains high.  The CryptoNight miner does not play well with AMD's SMT, but works fine with Hyperthreading.

As usual, ignore the rest of Task Manger's lies (clock speed O.o).

Wanna swap one your 1080Ti's for my 1080 ? Yes ? lol

Uh oh, someone is going to use your picture to say that threadripper 2 can do 4.7GHz. Hey I'm personally not into mining but do you know anything about capabilities of using, say, Power 9? I have a dual power 9 workstation and thought about trying to mine with it on the side.

Man, I thought you got some awesome overclock on your 1950X. lol

You could use a few more GPUs. haha

Just photoshop the 1950x to 2950x and sent it to WCCF and tell them its a leak of a 2950x clocking to 4.7Ghz, that is almost believable.

@XenosTech  I'm sure that 1080 is more than plenty power.  I'm keeping the 1080 Tis through the upcoming GPU release as I'm not sure how the new GPUs are going to mine upon release.  There's usually some growing pains for a while.

@Dylanc1500  This should give you an idea of what to expect from a Power 9.  Looks beastly.  For comparison, I'm only getting about 1400 H/s or roughly half of what they got with the Power 9 in this linked article.

@scottyseng  I wish I had a freak OC.  lol   Just the typical 4 GHz OC.  I've benched it at 4.1+ just to get high Cinebench scores, but other than that, it runs 4 GHz 24/7 under load.

There are 3x 1080 Tis in this PC and 2x in the x299 rig.  Power hungry compared to the 1080, but they sure do crank out some hash!

@The Benjamins  The shit storm that would start would be worth the trouble.  xD

@done12many2 So far it's been good to me, I just need to get a 7700k and a 144Hz monitor.

@XenosTech  That will be a sweet setup with quite a bit of time left in it.

Since I'm always mining on my bigger PCs, I started playing a lot more on my laptop (7700HQ / 1070) and it's more than plenty for me.

I really don't think I'm changing my pc unless something dies. I'm the kinda person who'll play on low settings before I buy new parts lol. Or if Zen2/3 looks really really good when they come out.

Ya I've seen that article before but hadn't read into it though, I figured it should have been pretty awesome. Do you think it'd be worth shoving two of my quadro v100s alongside?

@XenosTech Absolutely nothing wrong with that.  Sometimes I think of all the money I've pissed away keeping the latest tech and just wonder.  xD

@Dylanc1500  v100s should be great on Ethereum.  At least the Titan V is with double the performance of a 1080 Ti.  I don't mine Ethereum and I do know that in many other algorithms outside of Ethereum, the Titan V can be unimpressive with its output.

Wondered "Could I have bought a Bugatti with all that money ?"
