Well, decided to give the 7900x a full go.  If I end up wanting more, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

 

This particular chip would run Cinebench R15 at 5 GHz on all cores with stock Intel TIM, but was hot, so I figured it was definitely worth delidding.  Anyways, though I'd share some pictures with you guys.

    Speaking of doggy poo, I think that's what I scraped off of the inside of that 7900x's IHS.

    So, were you able to hit 5.1-5.2GHz? :D

    I checked to see if it would boot 5.1 GHz, which it did without any problems.  Aside from that and some 5 GHz benching, I haven't done much else besides trying to dial in a good daily OC.  I will though soon enough.
