  1. How does the network look like for ospf?
  2. Yes. On the other hand i think it kind of an overkill. What kind of infrastructure would be required if the end devices could manage 5GB/s ?
  3. Hello, What framework do you use for presentation: winforms, wpf, uwp? I have not worked with controller stuff but you could take a look at xinput For network stuff, you would not require an timer, you could bind an event https://stackoverflow.com/questions/314213/checking-network-status-in-c-sharp
  4. Geez, what is going on here? I recomend to get comfortable with the environment you are developing in, tools like x-debug for debugging the code in realtime with breakpoints. programs to interact with the database and of course version control like git An good PHP ide that i use is PhpStorm, It is available to students for free https://www.jetbrains.com/student/ In my opinion, if you are concerned about security you should not implement your own login system, you should implement something along the lines of twitter's or googles's oauth2 login else use something that is well used and proven to work. I would also recomend the Laravel framework, could take some time to get the hang of it but they have geat documentation.
  5. You could use panda cloud https://www.pandasecurity.com/usa/homeusers/solutions/free-antivirus/ But it will slow down system performance significantly, due to strict file validation before executing any program. The bonus of this, new threats like ransomware is automatically blocked.
  6. 1. Stay with what I got: Ryzen 1800x Works great with parallel compute in c#
  7. Yeh, the ssd might not be needed but the cpu? It looks like an big difference in single core performance, how oc'able is the 1700 vs 1800x? Read that some people got their licenses revoked within almost an year, so i might roll with it and buy one from MS if it gets revoked
  8. 1. Budget & Location 2500-3000 usd inc tax (25%), my location is in Sweden 2. Aim Gaming AAA, some VR and some indie titles, software development (C#, VMs, database servers and alot of other stuff) 3. Monitors I have one at 2560x1440 @ 145hz but i'm thinking i might buy another one / use one older that i have 4. Why are you upgrading? Will be used for an second location on the weekdays, so i need another build So far i have come up with https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yL67jc I have not decided on what type of cooling i'm going to use or what kind of case, could go as far as 200$ in cooling I'm looking to an smaller type of case or maybe horizontal or possible compromise on the parts used to achieve that. If i where to go with water cooling i do not really want to have my first go on that on this system, so nothing advanced Thanks. Robin

  10. The keyboard, As i think it would fit my needs with the brown switches. Right now i am using an Microsoft Sidewinder X4 (Rubber dome) with the paint falling off. But the thing i like about my keyboard is the volume controls and the palm rest. I could probably just go out and buy one but this is an giveaway and you should.
