  1. yes, editing requires a lot of vram but adobe applications currently won't support amd cards as they(amd cards) are OpenCL but nvidia cards are CUDA and adobe supports CUDA but not OpenCL
  2. but I can't use it with adobe applications like premiere or after effects
  3. but not all applications can benefit from an sli setup ryt? moreover my budget is not sufficient to buy 2 970's I was talking about doing an sli with a cheaper card.
  4. thankyou bhaiyya btw I'm currently in Saudi Arabia anyway, can you give me the specifications of your system and also the total cost
  5. in that case only adobe applications remain......I'd rather use Final Cut Pro X
  6. I was planning on a 950/760 sli and btw 57k? which currency are you talking about?
  7. the gtx 980(non-ti) itself is way over my budget
  8. I'd mainly use adobe premiere, after effects, autodesk Maya and blender.
  9. what about in editing applications ? do they support sli/crossfire?
  10. but in certain adobe and autodesk applications, CUDA is required and I heard that only nvidia supports CUDA
  11. guys, I'm building my first ever pc which is mainly to be used for editing and for some gaming.I don't know whether I should go with a single 970/960/r9 380 or should I go for an sli or crossfire of any other two graphics card.I'm not planning on getting a 4k display but as I stated earlier, this rig is mainly to be used for video editing, animation and rendering.
  12. as per this video, the x99 platform costs almost a 100$ more than the z170 platform, and the reason I went looking for a 5th or 4th generation processor was to cut down the cost of ddr4, and this way, x99 is way more expensive.
