Lemtea reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Award Ceremony 2019!
Well guys, my oh my has it been a month of pure excitement and an unexpected plot twist, the king has been dethroned!!!

But before we get into it I just want to say a few things, first and foremost, I want to thank the guys who have been helping behind the scenes, @Gorgon for his exceptional data handling and filling in for blog posts, @palespartan for being my rival giving a helping hand with data validation, prize allocation and a blog post or two and @Imbellis for validation and giving us a secondary source of point data. You guys really have been lifesavers this event and without you I honestly don't think the event would have ran at all as I would have needed to throw in the towel with all the hospital trips.

I want to thank every one of who participated, no matter if you made 3 points(yes, somehow that was a thing, I even validated it myself) or if you made over 800m *cough* @Yggdrasil128 *cough*, you really are all beautiful, amazing people. I also want to give a special thanks to you all for standing by me despite all the hospital trips and unavailability, I really appreciated all the warm messages I received wishing my partner good health, it will surly be needed over the coming months and possibly years.

Competition was stiff this year, with not only the highest number of sign ups for any folding event here on the forum but also some of the most impressive folding I've ever seen, period. You guys have rocked it hard and you should all be proud for what we accomplished. 17,933,433,473 points over the course of the event and moving from 10th place to 8th, but the science is not over and the folding must continue.

Roughly, if team LTT was measured on the top500 list of supercomputers we would have found ourselves somewhere around 70-75th, just think about that for a moment...

Please can all make sure we donate a few dollars to Jason over at EOC, his servers must have taken a beating with all the traffic we have thrown at the guy over the last month or so. You can either use this PayPal link or find the PayPal donation button on the EOC Website on the right. Don't forget to include a note thanking him so he knows its from team LTT.

    List of the dead

It is a sad time when we see the demise of our hardware, even sadder when that hardware holding out a few more days or weeks would have secured up a better position.

Rest In Piece Valiant hardware, there is a special place in silicon heaven(Red Dwarf Reference right there) for you, least we forget.

And now, without further delay, here are the final, verified ranks and prize winners.

In first place we have @Yggdrasil128, with 886,386,763 points over the course of the event. Mr. Drasil, now crowned the new king of folding for team LTT, really surprised us all, laying low for much of the event before making a dash to the top with his mercenary armies rented folding power, we don't mind how you get your points as long as you get them under your name. You truly deserve to sit in this spot, your prize os to have the bragging rights for the next 11 months, All Hail The King of Folding, 2019!

In second place we have the dethroned kind, @Den-Fi with 660,756,810, you really pushed hard towards the end of the month, but with some sandbagging at the start it has to be asked if you could have taken the crown, that is something we will never know. But, hear this, there is no shame here, for we are all winners when it comes to folding, as we fold, FOR SCIENCE!

In third place we have @Gorgon with 520,575,343 an impressive number, our very own Gorgon showing that we are all in it full tilt, even if we are consumed by crashing google sheets and failing giant IF statements. He was up there right from the start and really took the fight to the dethroned king, a real man of the people.

In 4th place we have @miker07 with 438,025,030, a fine effort from the folding month veteran.

in 5th place we have @catawalks with 415,533,572, if only he pushed that little more he could have taken 4th.

    6. @_Rlocke with 221,628,810.

    7. @JB25304 with 212,774,860.

    8. @leadeater with 202,564,470.

    9. @Favebook with 191,299,492.

    10. @GOTSpectrum with 186,742,539.

If you don't see your name on the list above you either did not sign up for this event or you did not meet the minimum requirements. All event badges will be handed out without any intervention needed from you guys, PLEASE DO NOT message me or the team about event badges.

Now it is time for the prizes!

I was planning to tag each winner but due to the number of prizes and limitation I have recently been made aware of the winning ranks will be listed here and the winners will be tagged in comments to this post. This will ensure all winners get a notification for the tag.

The winners will have 7 working days from the publication of this post to claim the prize, if the prize goes unclaimed it will be raffled again. In order to claim the Prize you will need to PM me here on the forum, with the subject

'I am here to claim what is rightfully mine!'

And, with that said, it's time to finally wrap up the folding month for 2019, I can't wait to see you all taking part in the future folding events like the intra-forum friendly in Febuary, the summer folding sprint and yes, next years folding month.

EDIT: In all the excitement, I forgot to add my two little announcements...

The first is, the billion point badge is now here!

1 billion points, Diamond Badge - 'When you have contributed more than 1 Billion points, Tales of your folding adventures will be whispered through the ages, You are now mythical.'

The second is that, It has been decided that new leadership for the folding team could reinvigorate the team, well I can tell you that I have accepted to take over the leadership role from @Whiskers!

    This is Spectrum signing off,

    Happy Folding,

Well hello there ladles and gentlespoons, fancy seeing you folding?

We are now most certainly over the half-way mark, its time to take a look a little further down the table, many of the prizes from ourselves and LMG are aimed at the top 100, so, lets have a look who has a chance to break past the century point!

In 101st we have @mparker42 with 19.4m whos production could see him push past the 100th mark, the same could be said for @VCInventerman with 19.3m, @Psycho-Ben with 19m and a production rate of 2.3m over the last 24 hours, he's really one to watch, @EnderDeath with 18.9m, @Gorillix has a 1.2m production over the last 24 hours. Further down the stack, @ir8munk33 with an impressive 1.9m points over the last 24 hours looks to be setting his sights high, maybe even higher than 100th place. @lorth Sitting in 193rd with 11.3m points over the last 24 hours and @JVK in 198th making 1.6m over the last 24 hours, you guys could really push up the table if you can keep it up!

All in all, you guys have excelled, I'm really just so impressed with your dedication and drive, pat yourselves on the back because its surely needed.

The top 10 takes 24.32% of the total today, with the top 50 taking 49.11% and the top 100 have 65.61% under their ranks for the last 24 hours.

    as always:

Please remember that this is a friendly event, but we are all folding away for Science, AND GLORY!

I'm really impressed with the numbers we are seeing here, Thank you to all who are involved and who make this worth while every year.

Remember we are a team first and individuals second, so give thanks where thanks is due and hit that reaction button when someone helps you out.

Be wary of the minimum participation requirements this year.

minimum requirements: 100k points, 20 WUs, and 20 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

    Happy folding,

Well guys, thanks to Gorgon we can now confirm mall data on the sheet to be valid and the issues resolved! There has been some shifts in ranks due to the correction but I can confirm this should be the last time anything like this occurs as long as the data stays correct from Stanford.

Tomerrs is in first, as per usual with 87.1million points, King Poet in second with 73.2million and _Rlocke is in thirs with 59.5million. Jakkuh dropped to fourth with 55.8million and Gorgon holds onto fifth with 35.5million points. Ben Quigley finds himself sitting in 6th again with 31.1million points followed by Dissitesuxba11s being 800k behind his mark. Porina is in 8th with 28.2million followed by Palespartan with just shy of 25million points. Cereal5 is still the gatekeeper of the top 10 with 22.9million points.
In 11th we have Yabdat with 21million points, followed by DUW1G1T with a lag of 200k points or so. Then there's an opening of 3million points to Invaderzim in 13th. TVwazhere is behind him by 2 million. D_Newb and Powellji both have around the 14million mark. Willhemmens is in 17th with 13.5million, 15th is occupied by RollinLower with 13million. Cagedanimalz, and sazrocks both have just over 12million and take the 19th and 20th spots on the table.

If nothing else changes about production the table should stay pretty recognisable, @_Rlocke will move up into second, @Cereal5 will move up a spot, @DUW1G1T should push up a number of spaces.  Bit overall we should expect the next new updates to look quite similar to what we are seeing here.

Over the course of the month we track more data than what you see us present and one piece of data I would like to share... all points produced by the event participants as of this update officially add up to....

The overall team has seen over 239million points of production over the last 24hours..

Please remember we have minimum participation requirements, these are 100k points, 15WUs, and 15 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

Also, I just want to add that if we suspect you are purposefully just skimming the minimum requirements you may be disqualified. If we see you produce one WU per day for the last 15days for instance we may feel the need to investigate.

Thanks for everyone who is involved in this event,

    Happy folding,

    Ben.

Right guys, After doing yet more tests we have noticed yet more issues, these are being caused by the week one sheet and there is a good chance I will just rebuild the entire thing using our scripts on the historic data we hold, but today is Armistice Day so I need to push this out asap then I can join the family. So pinch of salt to be taken.

We have Tomerrs in first place with 62.8 million, The king is in second with 53.8million, Jakkuh is in third with 39million. _Rlocke is in 4th with 34.4 million, Gorgon in 5th with 26million, Dissitesuxba11s is in 6th with 24.9million, Ben Quigley is in 7th with 24.2million, Porina is in 8th with 21.7million, Palespartan in 9th with 18.8 million and in 10th we have Cereal5 with 16.7million points.

Tomerrs is still looking undefeatable sat up on his throne, The king is enjoying a lull as no one can even come close to challenging him either,  Jakkuh isn't looking as secure as he once was with _Rlocke push hard and its paying off for him. Gorgon is still enjoying his Ray tracing goodness from what I can tell. In the end there's no major upsets today, will that change over the next few weeks well anything is possible right? So keep watching this space, and most importantly, KEEP FOLDING!

I'm aware of sure issues with the totals here, the totals are what we get our ranks from so bare with me as I will look into fixed as soon I can. Its to do with the way the script orders the participants vs the way google thinks alphabetical order works when symbols are included. We know the issue, and, really we know the fix, we just don't Want to be rebuilding the entire sheet for week one, but it seems like that is the only way it will work.

The overall team has seen yet another boost up to 181million points.

Please remember we have minimum participation requirements, these are 100k points, 15WUs, and 15 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

Thanks for everyone who is involved in this event,

    Happy folding,

    Ben.

Well, after another all nighter, validating data, sorting out tables and getting ready for automation I'm here. This is just a PSA for the new guys here, the folding team is a small close knit community, so here's a few things I'd like you all to keep in mind. It doesn't hurt to say thank you, if someone has genuinely helped you out don't forget to drop a reaction on their posts, help others where ever you can and finally we are a team first and always.

Now onto the juicy horse-race Folding ranks!

The king has fallen, ALL HAIL @Tomerrs, Holding first position with a lead of 20,000 points! We have the dethroned king in 2nd, and Jakkuh is closing on him, but with a lead of 900k the king could still keep hold of the number two slot if he acts quickly. Dissitesuxba11s is in 4th with14.2million points but Ben Quigley looks like he will catch up and retake the number 4 slot. Gorgon is in 6th place with 13.2Million points, and porina is 100k behind that mark. Palespartan is in 8th with 10.0million points. Then comes the 1.5million point gap that is opening up with cereal5 having 8.5million. _Rlocke is in 10th with 8million points.
Another gap has opened up between 10th and 11th, with Invaderzim117 falling 1.5million short of the pack at the top. TVwazhere is in 12th with 6.3million, D_Newb is in 13th with 6million and DUW1G1T has 5.6million. CagedAnimalz and Rollinlower both have 5.4million. WillHemmings, Powelljl and Stijnman all are fighting to stay inteh top 20 with around 5.2million each. RAS_3885 sits in 20th, with his 300k point gap nehind melting away he is in danger of losing his spot in the illustrious top 20.

If your numbers seem off, or you cant find yourself on the list then please do get in contact with me and I will double check on your data, we currently have 360 sign-ups but only around 260 have produced any points so far for the event.

Please remember we have minimum participation requirements, these are 100k points, 15WUs, and 15 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

If you do not have a registered folding name with Stanford by the next update your details will be removed from the event.

Also, can you all give yourself a pat on the back because together, we produced  93,483,405 points yesterday!

Happy folding, thanks for getting involved and if you lot feel like trying to squeeze out a little more production from your rigs we could push the event over 100million points a day!

I pulled an all-nighter night before last to get the spreadsheet fixed, So last night I crashed and slept like a baby, the spread should be fixed, some of today's points production may seem high for a few people but that was to bring them in line with their real total points. The week column is perfect, thus the most important data is not exactly as needed. The reports should be completely accurate from now on unless mistakes are made. Just as a side note the event members have produced 79% of LMGs total point production over the last 24 or so hours.

Now with that out of the way lets look at the standings so far, there have been some changes happening over the last day or so. The King himself is remaining comfortably in his throne sat at the top of the rankings approaching 14million points, Porina has come in to steal the number two spot sitting there with 6.9million followed closely by BenQ with 6.8million. Dissitesuxba11s has managed to increase production and is now finding themselves in forth with 6.6million. Gorgon is still holding 5th place with 5.6million, but Palespartan has gained a little ground on him now with 5.2 million. Jakkuh seems to be making a challenge to the king himself with a showing of 4.1million points produced in his first day competing alone, hes currently sitting at 7th. There's a notable gap between 7th and 8th, TVwazhere and Tomerrs are fighting it out for 8th place with 3.4 and 3.2million points respectively, but Cereal5 is only behind by around 30k points.
After the top 10 there's a fair gap building up, with 400k between Invaderzim117 and 10th place, Cagedanimalz is pulling in with only around 100k points separating him from 11th.  Stijnman and D_Newb are sitting right on top of each others with 2.6 million each, Its a close one, with only 10k separating the two we're practically splitting hairs.
15th-17th places are all slip by no more than 50k and James sitting in 18th seems to have been knocked down a peg from his supposed ally Jakkuh coming into the frey. Powelljl is on 19th with 2.1million but he has willhemmens stepping up to him fast and hard!

Will the king keep his throne from the threat of @jakkuh_t, can @Ben Quigley regain his place as second on the podium, or is this the start of a long downfall. @Dissitesuxba11s has some some real aggression to get into forth, But is it enough to secure one of those elusive podium places. @Gorgon may seen safe and secure but looking at the production rates of some lower on the board the question has to be asked, can he weather the storm, not only is @palespartan challenging him on every corner we have the latest entries coming in trying to make a name for themselves. @Tomerrs is also firing himself up the ranks like a cannon ball, but does he have the stamina to go all the way. Then we have @leadeater and @DUW1G1T both producing over 1.2million points but are currently sitting pretty low in the rankings. I'm expecting to be mentioning their names more often in the coming days.

If your numbers seem off, or you cant find yourself on the list then please do get in contact with me and I will double check on your data, we currently have 310 sign-ups but only 186 have produced any points so far for the event.

Please remember we have minimum participation requirements, these are 100k points, 15WUs, and 15 days of having activity over the course of the whole month.

Thanks for participating in the event!

    Happy folding,

Well the time has come, the time to work out if all of your efforts, the tinkering, the overclocking and the system building was worth it, the time where you rigs will be tested, tested with long up-times, blistering heat, number crunching every minute of every day. For this next month they are nothing but slaves to the folding gods, laying down their lives on the line for the betterment of mankind. So, go forth noble machines, and demonstrate just how brilliant you are!
And a final thank you to all that have entered and are making this such an exciting event, the question stands, who will emerge as our glorious Folding Fanatic, who will crash and burn, who will trod along right the through and who will fall victim to malfunctions, downtime and electricity costs? Only time will tell...

With that said, bathe in the heat of your system, be prideful and hear them purr. For, as of this moment we are folding for honour and GLORY(and bragging rights).

    Happy folding and good luck,

    Ben.
