  1. Hello! Im looking for a simple tool or a script that allows me to scan a bunch of documents (150k to be more precise) in search for corrupted ones (most of them) and delete them, leaving only the non-corrupted files, wich are basically a few hundred.
  2. My secondary computer that i use when im visiting my mother (its a desktop) had an error because ligths whent out many times while in use and windows installation got corrupted, so it boots but windows stays in the loading screen indefinitely. So i used a flash drive that was laying around to make a windows 10 instalation drive, unfortunately when I try to boot to the flash drive i get this error message. I tried to boot Ubuntu from another flash drive and that worked fine, and the flash drive boots in my laptop. So far I tired: Using different USB ports Enabling and disabling EFI Enabling and Disabling AHCI MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945 GPU: nVidia GTX 470 RAM: 2x2gb+2x4gb=12gb ddr3 1333 Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. since 2018 i replaced the PSU with an EVGA 600w 80plus, but recently i got the same issue again, since 2018 i got some knowledge on electric circuits and some prety cool tools to work on PSUs (electric tester, soldering iron, ect) but i still dont have enough knowledge to work on it. last time i took it to an electrical technician who used to fix anoter PSU that i needed fo a dell workstation. i got to the conclusion that its better to take it to an electrical technician, usually they charge arround $25 to get it fixed, and thats cheaper than most brand new PSUs. im gonna get this one fixed since rigth now in the area i live they are hard to get rigth now.
  4. it doesnt show up there, or in the file explorer, as i said i heart it had to do with the partition table being corrupt
  5. that is the name of the drive basically, but it doesnt show up anywhere else.
  6. i have this 750gb external drive that i used to store backups, but one day it didnt worked anymore. the disk shows in device manager, but not on the windows explorer or the windows disk manager. its shows up on a mac but im unable to format it. i read that it migth be a corrupted partition table but i have no idea on how to fix this, and most solutions i found online required the drive to show up either on the disk manager of 3rd party software (it doesnt show up) is there anyting i can do? any comand line magic or someting? i have acces to an ubuntu flash drive so linux is an option. PLEASE HELP!
  7. Hello, i have a similar problem, but i dont know if its a memory issue because i dont have a mobo speaker, i have this same motherboard, but is not posting at all, i tried 2 diferent GPUs on diferent PCIe slots alredy, but nothing, im using 3 kingston and one corsair, 2 of them are 2gb and the rest are 4gb, used to work without issue a time a ago and one day just didnt posted when i turned it on my cpu is a phenom II x4 945
  8. i also noticed that when i did get into windows, giving a bump to the desk inmediately disables the video, is it posible the PCI-E slot is damaged?
  9. i did tried this, but it seems there is like an issue between the integrated graphics of the motherboard and the GPU, and i cant seem to find a way to disable the integrated graphics on the BIOS but since i updated it i cant seem to be able to find that option anymore, PLEASE HELP!!
  10. I got an MSI NF725GM-P43 for free with an included Phenom II x4 945, so i swaped my old Biostar G41D3C wich had an Intel Pentium E5700, i just suaped the 8gb of ddr3 that i alredy had in, so after playing arround with the bios (i OCd the CPU to 3.5ghz, i had a beefy cooler on it so it barely reaches 50C) i started noticing some GPU issues, sometimes randomly the screen just went completely black, the GPU is a GTX 470, and used to work perfectly on the old motherboard, so the only way to get it back was to restart the computer, but it was working ok, it sometimes crashed while running MSI afterburner, didnt OCd the GPU tho. i did a lot of troubleshooting alredy, and even updated the bios to the latest version but the issue persist, im hoping it has someting to do with bus frequencies (i alredy put the bios to defaults and the problem persists) or with the integrated VGA configuration or someting, im using windows 10 home 64 bits. i dont want to go back to the old motherboard since with this one i can play overwatch perfectly but with the old one it didnt even run (really strong cpu bottleneck) please someone help me find the root of the issue and posibly fix it!! Thanks in advance!!!
  11. ok then, but are you shure about that?
  12. i read that they are the exact same card, that there were some sligth diferences, and i also read that flashing a GTX firmware can increase performance, since a "gaming" firmware would be better suited for gaming than the workstation CAD optimized Quadro drivers. also i want to experiment a bit.
  13. Hello everyone! i have an old 775 quadcore system, and i found this old quadro in my uncle stuff that he was trowing away, i know they are virtually the same card but with different BIOS, so i was wondering if there is any way to turn my Quadro FX 4600 into a Geforce 8800GTX? like flashing bios or something? how do i do it? im doing this to play some old stuff in a windows 7 system im making with this PC, and also for some fun experiments. Cheers!
