pas008 got a reaction from T02MY in Intel's new microcode update forbids benchmark comparisons
consumers have the right to know their products and benchmarks help pinpoint strengths and weakenesses for a consumers workload needs

pas008 got a reaction from mr moose in NVidia Geforce RTX 2080 confirmed up to 2x GTX 1080 performance. Evidence for 2080 ti as well.
many developers were pushing for this I actually believe it could make things cheaper
and on that note many hate gameworks
making a game now is expensive as fuck wouldnt you want to use or push for shortcuts and reduced cost?
but by using gameworks alot of time is saved which is money
build a house to a hammer ok fine does the job now building it with nailgun wow
that is what tools are for
and saying its gimping amd, nvidia gets gimped too
so on to rt
amd has their own
companies want it if amd doesnt come up with ways to make it happen reasonably or better which I think they can
but rt isnt like gameworks
its more like async with freesync and gsync each will have their own version like they do

You know what? Fuck Intel. We'll find out the truth one way or another.
Consumers have rights. They have the right to know how a product such as a CPU performs. And they certainly don't take orders from Intel.

Check box in nvidia control panel like physix? Along with in game option too is what I'm thinking

pas008 got a reaction from asus killer in RTX 2080 TI Leaked $1000!
yeah they have alot of work for mcm like designs
they prolly need to design something like lucid hydra chips to be used and then software/drivers for it
I always laugh at this
no competition in that price bracket blame nvidia for that
higher ram prices blame nvidia for that
releasing new product blame nvidia for that
also many buy 750 plus phones every year for what bigger screen slightly faster cpu lol

Maybe the eu should step in and say phones should be created similar because of phone cases need to be made similar for all phones lol
But anyways who cares its a fucking phone they should all end up with similar designs at a point anyways
Wait i should a patented square steering wheel

pas008 reacted to LAwLz in Google records your location even when you tell it not to
I think a lot of this uproar stems from people not differentiating between different settings/features, and what they assume something does based on the name rather than description.
Turning off location history is not the same as turning off the location service.
Location history = The map in your Google account which shows you were you have been. You can turn this off if you want, but it is not, and isn't suppose to be, a centralized hub for disabling all location services.
The location setting in Android on the other hand, is the "kill-switch" for location tracking. And if you disable that, it does disable tracking (from what we know).
Since it seems like people are getting confused maybe Google should be more clear about what the different settings does. But I honestly don't know how Google could be more clear than they already are.
Anyway, as it stands right now I think it is a pretty big stretch to say they are lying. I mean, this is what appears when you click on the "pause location history" button (emphasis mine). It's a fullscreen page and from what I know it's been like this for quite a long time, not something Google added as a response.
It's kind of like being mad that deleting web history in Microsoft Edge doesn't delete your Internet Explorer web history.

pas008 got a reaction from mr moose in Foreshadow, yet another Intel vulnerability
Yes i know obviously excuses
They can crap in their mouth and they thank the gods for it
Have already stated before just testing the waters again igpu imc etc etc etc
You would think some can change and be the wiser guess the fanboy doesn't go away easy
Some day people will understand its just food for thought
loyalty to a brand still tastes like the next
All depends what you need from said product single core is my main concern
Just like grape koolaid makes vodka beetter etc etc etc
fyi admin rights doesn't give you the info you want

Damn, those Tariffs really did a number on them. Who would have thought simply slapping a tariff on something without any economical analysis before hand could do so much damage? A lot of US steel companies are hurting from them too.

pas008 got a reaction from MMKing in AMD reports Threadripper 2990 is upto 50% faster than the Intel 7980
2 in 2 out for spark plugs
Love the Sound too
Older ones used carb very easy to work on
You could change oil its filter plugs wires cap air filter in almost half hour
Which i loved even though i don't do that shit myself anymore
I think we need both
Single core performance and more cores

On my second Rx7 actually
Higher rpms actually helps apex seal on older engines
Mazda actually just patented new design with engine flips
Rotary actually has less movement then conventional engines
Lack of maintenance is what i see hurts then more than other engines and they burn oil which many owners don't understand

Since 2 users are claiming this
I hate when people state things as fact
Especially very misleading info
Hurts the community more than help
Causes more divide and supports fanboyism

Btw miners aren't buying nearly as many cards these days.

pas008 got a reaction from Jon Jon in AMD reports Threadripper 2990 is upto 50% faster than the Intel 7980
Exactly fun to actually see core war 2 really making affect
But Intel prolly won't be able to respond til 2020 but then amd could be closer to 5nm then
But Intel looks like they be including optane with cpus next

well I have had to use inspector to get mixed display mixed gpu acceleration setting back
this is random with drivers now but I use inspector all the time now considering i'm sli user
I have had to not use the igpu also now I just use 3 in 1080tis and 2 in 650ti
I have had to change mouse polling
I had to also make sure in nvidia and windows that the monitors were touching no gaps between the monitors
where you get to click and drag the placement of the monitors
