  1. There is nothing in the bios which would let me see that, so Idk.
  2. I'll update the post tomorrow with that info. Kinda late rn, thanks for the help so far tho
  3. Good question. I'm using an asus motherboard, where would I see this?
  4. I tried, but since the device straight up doesn't show up in the manager it can't install them.
  5. For the last 5 hours I've been trying to get my ethernet to work again after booting up the mini windows live usb on Medicat to have a look around. The adapter doesn't show up in device manager, I've tried restoring the system, restting the bios, cleaning the registry, and unfortunately resetting my windows to factory settings, but it still doesn't work. I also found out that even on a live usb (mini windows or lubuntu) the network adapter also doesn't show up. Both my router and the motherboard show that there's data transfer, looking at the lights. What could be the cause? What's the next step I should take?
  6. I'm not entirely sure. He was struggling rather quite a lot to explain it in an intelligible way, soooo.
  7. So a friend and I were discussing a problem. My friend stated that he could undervolt his cpu even lower than he had at that time if he had better cooling. I thought this didn't make sense, because the way I see it, undervolting is simply limiting the amount of energy a cpu can use to do it's tasks and when you don't give it enough, it won't be able to fulfill it's tasks... It becomes unstable in other words. And that required amount of energy doesn't change with better cooling unless you change the clockspeed. Or am I wrong? Tell me what you think, cuz I wanna know.
  8. So out of the available options, which would you say is the best?
  9. Neither the G3 or G5 meet my requirements
  10. Alternate.nl Coolblue.nl Bol.com Mediamarkt.nl http://www.dell.com/nl-nl?c=nl&l=nl&s=gen&mp=dell.nl/&redirect=1 http://www8.hp.com/nl/nl/home.html These are basically all places you can buy laptops from in The Netherlands, and they all have very limited selections
  11. Tbh, we've only really got HP, Dell/Alienware, MSI and Asus. We've also got lesser known brands, but I'm not even considering those. We've also BTO, which is basically Dutch Sager. They use the same clamshells, but you can nearly completely configure them like you want. Downside however, you don't know what the battery, thermals, noise and screen quality is like.
  12. Unfortunately the G7 isn't available in The Netherlands. Only the G3 and G5. Availability is a bit of a problem in The Netherlands
  13. I'll have a look. I don't really care about the battery life tho, I'll be tethered to a wall nearly 24/7 regardless.
  14. I have a max budget of 1700 EU, but would prefer to save some money by staying on 1300 EU or lower. I need to have an I7, 16gb of ram and I'd like to have a gtx 1060, although it's not necessary. It's main purpose will be application development and running VMware for my education, but I'll most likely use it for a decent amount of gaming too.
