  1. Oh, I just noticed that the RT-N66U does not have a modem built in. The DSL-N66U does. So... Any other routers with modems built in?
  2. I know it is good. I wanted to know the alternatives. Anyone with any info? I know there is a Linksys E4500 as well. Is it better, worse for my needs?
  3. Hello, I am looking to buy an ADSL+ modem/router. I have a 24Mbps broadband at the moment, but I will be getting a 100Mbps broadband connection soon. What I am looking for in the modem/router is good (really good) wired performance. That's the most important thing. I also need it to be wireless so that my family can connect their devices too. Wireless performance does not matter that much. I wouldn't be looking at an AC router unless it had way better wired performance (which it usually won't, I think). It would be mainly used for gaming on my desktop PC. I was looking at the Asus DSL-N66U and it seemed really good. I would like to know if there are better alternatives at around that price (up to 200 dollars). Looking forward to suggestions. Thanks! P.S. I love the WAN show! Regards, Mantas
  4. Just reporting back. I changed the setting from Gateway to Router on the Linksys WRT54GC (I'm sorry, I thought it was a Netgear). I changed the IP address of the Linksys router to 192.168.1.3 and I turned both routers off, then on and all worked fine since. Thanks for the help!
  5. Ok, thanks for the help! Much appreciated. I am going to try that right now and tell you exactly what I did, and if it works.
  6. Hello, I am trying to setup a network which would have two different wireless network names. One wireless network would be setup with the main modem/router (TP-LINK TD-W8951ND) and should be without any passwords. The other router (Netgear with 4 LAN ports and 1 WAN port) would be setup with a password, but in a different location. I have connected the two routers with an ethernet cable (LAN to LAN port) and disabled DHCP on the Netgear router. Here is where I am stuck. Do I plug the ethernet cable from the TP-LINK modem/router LAN port to the LAN or WAN port on the Netgear and what would the settings be for both of them? TP-LINK's IP is 192.168.1.1, Netgears - 192.168.1.2, but I am unable to connect to 192.168.1.1 with either of the wireless connections. What would be the best way to configure my setup? Thanks, KiecTigrc
