  1. If budget really is no concern though feel free to go with a more cutting edge display. Not really worth the extra $$$ imo.
  2. I have it locked on 144Hz with 3rd party software. I'm not that much of a pro gamer to really notice a benefit if my screen can't display more anyway. Depending on the game i could get more fps though. BF5 on ultra (no motion blur or similar trash settings) i get solid 144fps with around 80% GPU load. All that with only 250W power limit. With the full 300W I'd get even more...
  3. I currently run a similar system to yours, only one generation older. Check out my spec list, I'm very pleased with my Gigabyte monitor. It provides a great balance between resolution, high refresh rate and decent colors thanks to the IPS display. Plus it is not thaaat expensive compared to other diplays. Gigabyte ‎M34WQ 34.0" 3440 x 1440 144 Hz Monitor https://pcpartpicker.com/list/B6Bjk9 Imo the difference between FHD and 1440p is huge, especially at bigger display sizes. Although i don't think that the step up to full 4k would be necessary. Especially when gaming 1440p is plenty crisp while still being easy enough to run in order to get max fps with high settings. If you consider work and having multiple windows open at the same time, 1440p over 1080p is a game changer. I reckon this is even more true for 4k although everything gets so small at that point, that you have to increase the zoom factor in windows. In that case you could have just stayed with 1440p anyway.
  4. Hello all, recently a bought Battlefield V on sale and gave it a go. I notice, that at the beginnign of every round (2-3 minutes) i get very anoying stuttering like really low framedrops. After a few minutes i sorts itself out and runs fine. The FPS counter shows consistent 144 fps sp it's not really that i think. Does anyone have an idea ehat couses this? My specs: Ryzen 7 5800X RX 6900XT Samsung 970 evo 1 TB 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz 3440x1440 @144Hz display
  5. The list already has the 13700KF in it... Maybe look for a different case with better airflow. You have some decently powerful components and especially that 240mm radiator will need access to fresh air. Mabe something like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/73jVPs Otherwise a solid build.
  6. You can try to find the problematic component by switching cables/monitor/gpu if possible. Try a different cable first. Make sure you are on the latest GPU driver. Does this happen only in game (under GPU load) or generally even in windows?
  7. It should work fine. 6600XT uses around 160W, your CPU maybe another 100W max. With all the rest combined i don't think you will use more than 300W under full synthetic load. If you just game and do casual stuff you are good to go. Just make sure you get a model with one 8-pin only since you PSU also only has one 8-pin plug for GPUs. Apart from that you should consider getting a better PSU (can be used) so you are not that limited by you PSU in the future. Also for reliability reasons...
  8. Maybe there is a setting in the GPU drivers that tells your GPU to render everything in 1440p? Don't know if that's a thing but it is an idea..
  9. Also check your power management settings in Windows. Maybe windows update made some changes and now your hardware is holding back.
  10. i don't think what @Cyberatwrote was meant to be insulting but actually valid points. Especially used cards like the RTX 2060 were used by miners a lot. If they flashed a different BIOS or if they ran the card poorly cooled or in a otherwise suboptimal surrounding the card could have some hidden damage. If the card is fine then make sure you completely remove the old driver and reinstall the latest nvidia driver from their homepage. That is what @Cyberat meant. Just installing any driver or not installing the correct driver at all will give you weird problems.
  11. All in all I'm very happy with the build. It runs fast (though not OC'ed) and silent while looking good imo. Additionally i managed to keep the price for all parts under 2000€ because i sold some old stuff and i got all parts used except the CPU and GPU. Also my wife now uses my old Ryzen 2700 and my old old GTX 1070. She is happy with the performance though, so what could you want more...? What do you guys think about my build? What would you have done differently?
  12. Finally after a looong time i finished my current build. Almost a year has passed since then but i thought I'd share a few pictures now. Better late than never. Because at the time i was unable to find a decently priced 3080 I sold my GPU block again and went team red this time. I don't really care about raytracing so the 6900XT is a perfect fit for me. And now enjoy the hardware porn
  13. That's it for now. Will keep you updated with more pictures when there's more progress. Cheers!
