  1. I just bench marked cs go again when I woke up the average was 140 on lowest now its 300 on max settings and 295 on lowest settings wtf
  2. Not really they wouldn't give me their 1060's
  3. First of all my specs CPU: i7-7700 (non k) GPU: GTX 1080 ti aorus xtreme Ram: 1 stick of 8ddr4 crucial 2666mhz 1 stick of 8ddr4 kingston generic ram 2400mhz Mobo: Asrock b250m Pro4 (bios version p1.50) only supports 2400mhz Psu: Gigabyte P650b (obviously 650w) HDD: 1 tb seagate barracuda SSD: 240 gb kingston (SA400) OS: Windows 10 (OEM) latest version Monitor 1: samsung CFG7 23.5 inch curved 144hz 1ms 2: Asus VP228 inch 60hz My problem is i'm having low fps In some games Mainly cs go for example on the cs go benchmark map I used to get 330 fps avg, now I get anywhere between 140-200 on benchmark idk what caused the problem and even tho 330 was low to begin with the cpu usage and gpu usage is extremely low in the benchmark and game in game usually gpu is anywhere between 10% and 30% usually in matchmaking its 20% with the cpu 30% to 50%. My fps in matchmaking (Competitive game) is Moving alot from 120 fps to 360 depending on the situation. I play on 1440x1080 resolution on all low settings I also tried max settings and the benchmark is within the margins of errors the fps on low and high settings is between 200-210 I looked on YouTube and i'm supposed to get much higher fps. Things I've tried to fix fps 1: Changing all settings resolutions in diffrent combinations 2: Changing power options in nvidia to performance 3: disabling vsync in nvidia control panel and ingame 4: reinstalling windows 5: reinstalling steam 6: reinstalling cs go on both ssd and hdd 7: deleting cs go's workshop steam maps 8: settings windows power options to performance etc. 9: disabling hpet in both windows and bios that boosted fps just a little bit but didn't fix the consistent fluctuation in fps 10: changing pcie lanes to 3rd gen instead of auto 11: updating bios from p1.50 to p2.50 and it broke my motherboard when I fixed it at a local computer fixing and he unsoldered the bios chip and programmed a new one and soldered it back my 2 sticks of ram wouldn't boot together until i reflashed my bios back to p1.50 which was the original bios that the motherboard came in and both sticks were working again 12: I used to have a 550w psu and put my gpu on 80% power and bought a new one which is 650 and can overclock my gpu to 150% power no problem 13: Installed new drivers with clean install using DDU and trying out multiple drivers old mid and newest. psi my gpu has normal scores for a gtx 1080 ti on heaven benchmark and in Rainbow six siege I just want consistent fps over 200 fps so I don't notice it when my fps drops even from 350 to 180 I feel it Is it a processor bottleneck even if it was my old gtx 1060 got me consistent 250-300 fps and I never felt lag or stutter If it is a cpu bottleneck should I get a r5 3600 or 9400f or is this not a good upgrade/not worth I don't have any money atm as I used all my money on gpu and psu recently The attached photos shows that my gpu can reach 100% usage in benchmark or other games like r6s and ark survival on medium to max settings. Sorry for my bad english it's my second language.
  4. As in scores my gtx 1080 ti is fine and in gpu z it says the correct amount of memory and it's not overheating at all in cs go I get 55-59 Celsius and in intensive games like Ark or in r6s on max settings I get 70 c the card is stable. Could it be just that the cs go engine is badly optimized to new hardware?
  5. But what Is really making me go crazy is im getting lower fps than my 1060
  6. When i built my pc the store I bought the ram from only had the 2666 and it was the same price as 2400 in other stores sooo
  7. I did ram tests and I had no issues and also other games works fine and my old gpu had higher fps even removing one stick and playing with single channel 8 gb ddr4 decreases fps by like 10-20%

  9. Could it be the newer bios is conflicting with the 2 sticks of ram or I need certain settings to make them work?
  10. I tried using the first and 3rd slots then the second and fourth slots but now im using 1 stick on the first slot Can it be that the newer bios doesn't like the different ram sticks with the different speeds?
  11. Specs: I7-7700 (non k) Ram: 1:8gb ddr4 2666mhz crucial ballistix 1:8gb ddr4 2400mhz kingston generic ram Gpu:Gtx 1080 ti xtreme aorus Storage:1tb Seagate barracuda steam library and 240 gb kingston sa400 SSD Mobo: Asrock b250m pro4 1.50 bios updated to 2.50 Supports a max of 2400mhz Psu: Gigabyte p650w So I was updating my bios and it was at 60% I left and came back the screen was black computer. shut off the computer manually and every time I open it i get a black screen but the fans keep spinning. Next day go to a computer repair shop as my motherboard support didn't answer the BIOS chip was not working so the engineer at the shop removed it and programmed another one and soldered it to the motherboard and boom my computer was working again, when I went back home I added my other ram stick that I removed and my pc screen won't load either the computer keeps rebooting or it boots up and then doesn't do anything . My computer boots up with 1 stick in any slot the 2666 or the 2400 but not both at the same time I tried cleaning the ram contacts using canned air for the motherboard ram slots and re seating the cpu and the cooler making sure it has good contact but still i'm bound to 8 gb of ram My computer used to boot up with both the sticks in any slots whether running in dual channel or single
