A few things to note before starting. This mod is just for fun and learning. the performance benefit will probably be unnoticeable but I still find it cool having a modded overclocked router. if you dont know how to help but still interested just wish good luck and stay updated ill try updating here and there. whats the deal I got an old router lying around which I didn't really had a porpoise so I decided to make it my main and mod it a bit so I will be able to OC down the road. the mod is unnoticeable from the outside , its just radiator on-top of the CPU shielding and a fun to make the "passive" cooling more effective the whole build is based on Openwrt which from what I understand should allow to tweak those kinda parameters. but where is the problem -I made some research while trying the problem it didn't get me far. I found out that the boot-loader on this thing is uboot and that it boots from a certain partition which which I dumped using dd, didn't really find a way to explore it . The idea behind is to find the parameters which affect the CPU speed change them and overwrite that partition this idea is problematic because any integrity check on that partition will lead to a brick (idk if it even exists). -I found a little software which allows you to mess with the partition's variables* (it maps something by setting an offset in the flash ...) also problematic to mess with. how can I make sure the offset is correct ? and even if it is there is no mistake there is no cpu_freq parameter (like some people said) or something with the same value as its supposed frequency -turns out someone was able to OC it using DDWRT... don't really wanna change to DDWRT... I kinda like Openwrt more Please correct me where I messed up after-all its also interesting just to know , Thank you. *I may be talking nonsense. I was more about making everything inside my case by adding fans , I read that the most important thing for 2 GPU cooling is Airflow so what is the best option I have for Air flow (Corsair AF fans?) . btw I will try opening my case and may be setting a table fun Thanks!

Hello, I decided to try mining some Bitcoins few days ago and I mined for 24 hours with my 1070 it get to 69 degrees C Which is acceptable in my opinion , today I tried to add a second GPU (GTX 660) and I encountered a disappointment All the cards are running over 70 which is too high (in my opinion to run them 24/7),after previous thinking and some ideas I think I should add some case fans but my primary deliberation right now is which fans should I buy If I want pretty quite Operation but in the mean time effective one . I currently have : Antec gx900 and the 3 Included fans Both of my cards are not reference design The idea I had until now is switching 2 120 fans with 2 140 and setting the 2 120 one at the front and another one at the rear or on the button THANKS FOR HELP!!!

ok.... may i manage where go the traffic for example i want to be able to download a game use my torrent client and watch some ltt vids and by default as much as i saw before the first app which request the traffic gets most of it (if i could manage it i would give 60Mbps to steam 20Mbps for chrome and the last 20Mbps to the torrent) default : 90Mbps Steam 7Mbps torrent and 3Mbps chrome

Hi today i downloaded few files from steam and i realized that steam took the full ability of my 100mbps port after few minutes i thought about a little idea what if i was able to manage which lan port provided internet to which program that would be really comfortable and usable on everyday use maybe some one know is there an option for this or a program because i think that theoretically its possible ( My mobo have 2 lan ports ) ("I have alot of knowledge ")

Hi everyone my name is mtsimmer and we are planing on hosting a lan party soon our networking gear ( OLD 16 port Switch and 2 routers one tp-link and one old to from Cisco ) my few questions is : 1) because of our hopes to bring internet connection to everyone we are having and a question is there some kind of a limit for connections 2) we cannot let 10-15 ppl seat at one table so we got one more problem expensive wires ( we cannot really afford 6 5-10 meters of lan cable) so we thought using 2 of the routers as 2 mini switches is there some kind of a problem with our idea ( we thought about plugging the lan cable with INT from the switch to one of the four connections that is usually used as a lan output on the router ) 3)The last question on terms of servers (hosting lan servers for the games ) do we need to connect the host PC directly to the primary router ( the one that have the internet ) Thanks for answers !
