Jackbe reacted to TehMiik in GTX 980 more expensive than 780Ti
Right on, dude! I was looking up pricing and I found that the evga sc gtx 980 is £500 here in the UK whereas it's around £380 in the US!

I think the pricing in the UK is silly. There is almost no point in getting a 980 because the 780ti is way cheaper and only a bit more expensive than the 970. Nvidia need to sort their pricing out.

DT770 get my vote. M50x are overpriced.

No, it's not. There isn't any "overkill" graphics card, in my opinion. Especially if you have a 120 Hz monitor. With 2 R9 280X cards, you'll have very good framerates at very high settings, and they should last for quite some time.

Sorry, that was meant ironically. It's the stupid stone age old idea of having a dedicated PhysX card that's just so obsolete! But for a long time everyone was still keeping their old cards just for PhysX which is ridiculous.

Jackbe got a reaction from Andrew0472 in BF4 - Poor performance
If you can wait, I'd wait a few weeks for the game to be properly optimised. It's not necessarily dice's fault, Nvidia and AMD need to optimise their drivers properly (although there are some pretty big issues with net code at the moment)

There's nothing wrong with liking a game that is far superior in every way...
It's not too much to ask that the game engine gets updated every game is it now?

Yes, that keyboard is the UK layout, even though the picture is the ANSI layout.

Hi all,
I have been reading up about SLI recently because I wanted to upgrade my GPU because I just got a BenQ XL2411t. I have heard a lot of good things about SLI and some bad things, at the moment I am very impressed with the performance increase. After quite a bit of thought I decided to buy another Asus direct cu 2 GTX 670 2GB because it was only £215 on overclockers.co.uk (still is BTW).
In BF3 I am getting almost a 100% performance increase, which is quite fantastic. This combined with the 144Hz refresh rate on the XL2411t makes gaming really smooth and helps quite a bit with aiming.
Also, it looks amazing in my case. Just awesome.
I am pretty impressed with temps as well, they have gone up about 10 to 15 degrees. They are running around 70 degrees. These are the temps I am getting with a 1200MHz GPU clock on both cards as well, along with a 100MHz overclock on the memory. I think that is very good, although I couldn't push the second card to the same clock as my original one, I've gone down from 1300MHz and down from a 200MHz memory overclock.
So at the moment I really have nothing to complain about, which seems out of place in the GPU section . I haven't notice any stuttering, although I haven't been playing for very long.
So for all of those people suggesting that SLI has issues, if you have the correct PSU, CPU and motherboard for the job, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with SLI. This is just my experience, of course.
It would be interesting to see how many people have working SLI or crossfire setups that they are happy with because I only see complaints about it in the GPU section.

Yeah, I have a secondary 60Hz monitor, and even moving the mouse or a window around feels horrible now. I've only been using it for 45 minutes!

I hope you have as much success as I have I would recommend you buy a more powerful PSU, I think 650W is pushing it for SLI, especially if you are overclocking your CPU and GPUs.

I happened to receive my GTX 670 and XL2411t on the same day, so for me, yes!
