  1. There were no peripherals when I tested and it's on a cardboard box right now as I said. Just the Display and the PSU connected to the board. I checked the USB ports on the board and there were no bends so I'm not sure what else is wrong so yeah. Steps one and two failed.
  2. Hey guys I've run into a little problem. When I tried to test boot my old motherboard with processor and RAM which was just working 3 months ago, I ran into a problem where it won't let me boot and it will say USB device over current status detected!! I had moved it to a new case and yes I was using motherboard standoffs so nothing would short. Then I took it out when I bought a new PSU for it and placed it on the PSU's box as a non conductive surface to test. Asus H61M-E 8GB RAM Intel Pentium G2020 Thermaltake PowerLite 550W If anyone could help, it'd be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Using a keyboard from a generic brand. It's really bad honestly. and my shift button doesn;t work. Thank God I play most games using a controller.
  4. I need help look for a good LAN party case preferably mATX or ATX, and under 70$ (If they do exist).
  5. Thanks for the correction. I always thought silicone was just the British spelling or something. and about "future proofing" why is everyone so agaisnt using the term? I know it's impossible but I'd just want to emphasize that I'd want my rig to last a considerably long time. Thanks. I'm kind of new at his overclocking thing. So I'm just trying to get as much longevity from a K series chip while overclocking it. Btw, do you do manual overclocking or the ones done with software?
  6. Well by future proofing I do mean at least 5 years after that I think I'm just gonna get a new CPU/Mobo/GPU setup and is it really that hard to win the silicone lottery on 6700k chips? Thanks for the advice guys. I was wondering whether to get the H100i GTX or Kraken x61 though.
  7. Hi guys I was wondering if you could help me out. I am planning to get an i7 6700k and overclocking it to around 4.5 - 4.7 GHz for future proofing. Should I use an air cooler or an AIO? I live in the Philippines and the ambient temps here are pretty high since it's a tropical country. It gets to about 32-38 C outside so I was wondering if one or the other option can help sustain stable overclocks while maintaining good temps. Thanks
  8. I was thinking about air cooling. Alright then, thanks a lot for the help.
  9. I'm wondering if there is any difference in overclocking performance between gaming and non gaming motherboards. Do I really have to shell out extra for a gaming motherboard for better performance? or maybe durability-wise as overclocking can lessen the lifespan of many components, right? If anyone could answer me, it'd be great. Thanks! I'm looking to overclock the new Skylake CPUs
  10. I would want the keyboard because my keyboard right now isn't really that good, it's a generic keyboard from a generic brand and it sucks. Also, I have never experienced the mechanical keyboards. My mouse is pretty aight right now so yeah
