  1. This how I ended up doing it. however before I just used the reset feature of windows without usb drive
  2. I've been having same issue after clean install (nothing installed afterwards) googling it seems I'm not the only one and nobody has a solution a part from windows +F key to report the issue to Microsoft. if you manage to fix the issue I'll be interested in knowing how!
  3. I'll have to try that and see. But since it is on all the time on the mic, it might be only the camera the problem then, I'll have to check.
  4. as I said above I tried that but with no result-changes, the setting is called affinity in the task manager this is what I was talking about.
  5. hi, I just upgraded and while I didn't upgrade because I wanted to stream, I was pretty damn sure that I would be able to without impacting much performances with what I have chosen. I have : Ryzen 5900x with an x570 MB 32gb of RAM an NVIDIA 3080 nvme SSD where warzone and windows is installed I'm gaming on a 1440p monitor. I'm using OBS to stream and I setup my stream to be downscaled at 720p 60fps. I'm encoding using x264 and I use a faster encoding setting at 5000kps bitrate. Also I'm using NVIDIA broadcast app to cancel background noise from my microphone and to remove the background behind me: regarding this I had to change PCI-E gen4 to gen3 as everything was laggy as soon as my camera was on otherwise(it seems it's a common problem right now, and that's the solution, I didn't see any change on performance going gen3 PCI-E). NVENC give similar result, but because of the CPU I have I would assume x264 is the way to go here. the whole CPU load has never exceeded 60% I also tried to play with affinity to give dedicated cores to each application but it doesn't seem to change anything. while I know that warzone is just NOT well optimized as I cannot stay at 144fps even without streaming I still want to try to keep my fps as high as possible and not drop 40% of FPS (this is what I experience: from 120/130 to 70/80) so unless I'm doing something terribly wrong, I believe it is NOT possible to actually stream while playing at 1440p on a single PC prove me wrong ? Please help me running some tests and please tell me if you need more information. Thanks
  6. Hello, I'm trying to overclocking my i7 6850k that I bought a while ago, and using OCCT to test it. I'm trying to achieve 4.1Ghz (nothing exceptional reading what other people achieved) as a cooling system I have a thermalright macho. (so air cooled) and my motherboard it's an MSI x99 carbon temperature during OCCT are around 75/82 degree celsius, and I put a vCore of 1.230v What I do not understand is the voltage values on OCCT, and it seems that if I lower or raise the voltage the temperature do not change much (I did some test with vcore= 1.240 and 1.250 and temperature were the same) but what i see in OCCT is that the voltage value in the graph is higher at lower vcore voltage (in the screenshot vcore=1.23 and voltage on graph around 200 000 and in another case vcore=1.25 but graph shows around 159 000) I have a couple of questions: - what are all those value under CPU Vcore? (VIN1 AVCC 3VCC...etc.), tried googling it, but it didn't helped - is there something else i should tweak on the bios to be sure that the system isn't raising some other voltage values to make sure the overclock is stable? - are those temperatures acceptable? i hear everywhere that I should go under 70 degrees, but 70 degrees while playing, i mean during normal use, or 70 while stressing it with OCCT? when I see come overclocking guides/posts I read everywhere that people went up till vcore 1.35, which i guess my cpu will melt seeing those high temp at 1.25 (but maybe those temps are related of my questions above?) - should i look at the average temperature which is around 75/78 or at the maximum temperature reached (in this case by core4 90 degrees) ? - how much can I hope to lower those temps if i use a water cooling system (like the corsair H110i type of system: close loop already built) ? If you need any other information I can provided it to you. Much appreciate your answers Yann P.S. sorry for my English: it is not my primary language
  7. Would turn my living room in a giant screen
  8. Thanks basically I want to be able to play my game, and stream without impacting performance of the game, and be able to watch some youtube video at the same time (for example playing music) and all of that having a reasonable usage of the CPU so that nothing would fell like "lagging" to note is that I have a 144hz 1440p (g-sync) monitor , as a main monitor that is "draining" much more CPU than my previous 60hz 1080 p (i'm saying the frequency as I can go higher on FPS and i intend to do so, playing at 120fps is really much more comfortable than playing at 60 in my opinion, at least in terms of feelings) not sure what other information you "need"
  9. Hello, this is something going in my mind for a lot of time already, I own an i5 4690K overclocked to 4.2ghz I was wondering what would be the gain on the i7 4790K (without overclocking) so basically almost same frequency but with 4 additional threads, would be the gain substancial? seeing last video of luke and as the performance were 30%-40% less when using both cores at the same times, i would say i could win around 10-15%. The concern I have is that when I'm streaming on twitch and playing high CPU demanding game (for example battlefront) my CPU reach 100% load really quickly, which is a concern if i want to browse some webpage at the same time. I was considering waiting for the new broadwell E to come out and get an hexacore (similar to i7 5830k, but the new version on 14nm), and I think is what i should do. But would actually would like to know what do you think of getting the 4790k and how much would it perform better then my i5 first post here, be kind, my english won't be perfect as it's not my main language, I apologize for that. Yann
  10. Hello, I'd like to participate to have the mouse, as my mouse is old and some buttons are working 1 time out of 3, and I'd like to change it, and this give away might just be one way to do it
