I'm using a CM Storm Devastator keyboard & mouse combo. Costs like $30, the mouse wheel started to squeal and I had to - yeah, keep reading - remove the slide pads under the mouse to get to the screws. One of the screws was behind the warranty sticker, so it's all void now. I put some extra virgin (oh yes) olive oil to the wheel and its bearings, and it's somewhat silent again. Though when I built the mouse back together I realized that the adhesive on the slide pads were already dried out. It's horrible to use now, makes a scratching noise against the table and the keyboards space button started squealing too. Well, that was $30.. But don't even get me started on my headphones and speakers.

I'd definitely need the keyboard. My current mouse / keyboard combo squeaks and creaks in use so loudly that my brother next door might think I've finally got laid. And of course the squeaking starts at night, so he might think I'm a womanizer, even though what I'm really fingering is a 30€ piece of junk mouse / keyboard. Sheesh.
