You said faster . Did you mean more ram?
Ram speed doesn't make that big of a difference right, thats what I have always heard and been told.
Linus did a video about it. Unless things have changed...

    If thats the case

    How about :
    G.Skill - NT Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
    https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gRkwrH/gskill-memory-f42133c15d16gnt

    its 56 $

Well ryzen performs a bit better with faster ram not sure if the 1st gen do as well, also check that the R5 1600 comes with a cooler or you'll have to purchase a cooling solution

I could go up in ram but thats 75 dollars XD

Going for faster ram is worth it for future proofing but use my suggestion as data for your research wait for more replies also look for more opinions so you end up with the most bang for the buck.

Back to your original plan on the cpu but with faster memory and you could upgrade your GPU later on

  4. That GPU isn't worth the shot I would recommend something like this:

    PCPartPicker Part List
    Type Item Price
    CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 2400G 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor $134.69 @ OutletPC
    Motherboard MSI - B450M PRO-M2 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $74.99 @ Amazon

it goes a little bit over the $300 but even when loosing 2 cores you gain clock speed and an integrated GPU that's gonna be much better than the gt 710 and you could get a rx580 later on.

I use this one, and it works fine, but the latency is not so good.. It just connects to any built-in bluetooth. My PC has built-in bluetooth and it connects it just fine without any additional receiver. Simple plug and play with Windows 10.

I can see the input lags on this controller are real either in wireless or wired mode.

I use it to play Monster Hunter World, and that game needs so much accurate timing in split seconds in most of fights, so I sometimes missed a critical action with it.

I dont know if DS4 has the same input lags or the better one than the Xbox One S controller.

The main reason I started this thread is cuz I wanna play fighting games, input lag can mess up a bit.

I want to do a lot of stuff but I am not able to. First of all I am not an adult so I cant do a lot of stuff. If I ask my friends to bring their pc's and stuff nobody will come. It's hard.

Yo don't have to be an adult to be able to do stuff, find groups of people that get together, go to events, you can do stuff.

I dont  have a backyard and I want to do a lot of stuff but I want some company to make the experience better.

Well I understand the feeling, I'm currently living in a country that's not my own. Working a slaving job and living in a routine with very few friends. But for me is the oposite I hardly have time to play games, and the people I used to play with can't play with me cuz our schedules don't match I wish I could go back to that golden age where me and my friends would stay up messing around online.

School done now that its summer and im so bored. I have nothing to do and because of that I just sit in front of my computer for like 15+ a day and my eyes are starting to hurt. Also because I dont do anything all day I cant sleep and I end up sleeping like at 5 in the morning and wake up at 12. Idk what to do?!?!?!?!

Join a discord channel, make your time in front of the computer enjoyable if you don't know what to do, I draw when I feel burnt out, find a new hobby. You have a backyard? I remember setting up a camp out in my backyard and I would try to survive outside without going in the house only to go potty and shower and get supplies, that can be fun.

Yeah, actually it has full compatibility. Steam’s great that way!

Dang it! then I guess I'll do some more research, all DS4 are bluetooth capable?

    39 minutes ago, star_pilot475 said:

Possibly, although it shouldn’t be noticeable. Microsoft makes a usb dongle meant for connecting then that’s like $25, so if you’re having issues maybe get one of those.

$60 plus tax, Ecuador has stupid prices for that kinda stuff.

Any regular xb1 controller since 2016 has bluetooth. The old elite controller doesn't have bluetooth but the new 'elite 2" does.

If you're not sure, look at the top section surrounding the xbox button. If it's the same color/texture as the main body, it's new. If it's the same color as the bumpers, it's old.

Also remember that any micro-USB cable (not USB-C) will also allow you to connect the controller to Windows 10, without depleting your batteries.

Thanks and could it have issues with a generic bluetooth dongle?

  11. Hello, I want to buy an Xbox one controller to use on my via bluetooth (I have a bluetooth dongle) but I'm not sure which is the controller model compatible with bluetooth.

Are all of them compatible? If you guys can reply with an amazon link or some info I will appreciate it a lot.

    Thanks in advance.

  12. I recently purchased some parts for my ryzen5 build, and right after buying said parts I realized something frightening....

The motherboard's M.2 slot sits right below the PCIe Slot. The motherboard is an MSI B450m Pro VDH Plus  and I bought the beefy 3 slot Gtx 1660 XC from EVGA.

My concern is: Will the ssd be affected by the heat from the GPU?

What do you guys recommend? Should I not use an M.2 SSD? I'm I overthinking this?

    Please HELP! :c

  13. Hello guys, I need your help deciding what parts to pick.
I have 2 Graphics card in mind but I don't know which one to pick.
My plan with this build is mainly Game at 1080p 60fps but also I would like to stream these games. So help me clarify my thoughts 'cause i'm currently leaning towards the 1660 I also don't know if the parts combo would be the best for performance.

Note: I've already purchased the motherboard.

live in ecuador and a friend is coming to visit from St. Louis Missouri, she offered to bring me computer parts, which also determines some of the parts I picked because I have a limit of around 10lb, also if any of you can recommend a store in St. Louis MO (or near) that has better prices for the parts listed feel free to recommend those as well.
besides getting help with picking the parts I would take advice in how to pack the parts in a suitcase for traveling

Note: I've allready purchased the motherboard.

currently showing O.O.S but I got mine today and they were noly out of stock for 4 days last time.  As you can see, it was a deal but the same deal has been live 4 times now and all have been real.

The same combo goes for $114 in the US :c But thanks for your help.

I just got got 2x16GB Patriot Viper Steel series 3200 for £65 each ($85 US) and I know Amazon was doing it even better on their USA site.. keep an eye on that as 3200 would help you a little better with Ryzen AND you could use the small saving to bump up to a possibly better card

Thanks, I read somewhere that it was better for performance to use dual-channel memory, hence the 2x8gb combo at 3000Mts. But I'll research some more.

Ya if you an get her to a Micro Center, you will be way better off. This is honestly your best bet.. You might even be able to squeeze an RX 580 in there.

If not i would just get a 2400g which can handle 1080p gaming, you just might have to sacrifice a few settings.. My step daughter has a 2200g and she plays games, for the most mart, just fine..

Then later on you can always add another graphics card to it, an RX 560 is only a little bit better itself anyway. You just might not be able to stream/record with this setup, but at least you'll be able to game..

Another option, and if you have time, get her to buy used parts on ebay or reddit, r/hardwareswap has great deals for used processors, gpus, motherboard, ssds/hdds, ram, etc.. If I was on a budget, that's where I would put almost all my money, and you'll get a better system then if you had to buy new. Only thing you would need new is a case and power supply as those aren't cheap to ship for small sellers..

    Good luck!

I'm trying to avoid used parts bc she's bringing me the stuff all the way to ecuador and I would like to count on warranty.

So the rx560 isn't much better than the 2200g? what about a gtx 1050ti? overclocking can be an option to squeeze out some more performance. I'm buying the case and the PSU here in ecuador. Like I said in the post I got a 10lb limit for her to bring me stuff.

There is a Microcenter in Brentwood, MO.  Is that near her at all?

If so, Ryzen 5 1600 is only $79.99 in-store only.

Also, what is the issue with her just boxing things up and shipping them to you?  Price?  Customs?

    She lives in Saint Louis.
Customs, basically for a 100$ processor I would have to pay 200$ in taxes.

  18. I've drastically improved the build (I think)
Hello, I'm planning to build a computer but I only have a whooping $500 budget.

I live in ecuador and a friend is coming to visit from St. Louis Missouri, she offered to bring me computer parts, which also determines some of the parts I picked because I have a limit of around 10lb.  (besides getting help with the build, I would take advice in how to pack the parts in a suitcase for traveling)

If any of you guys is from St. Louis Missouri and knows where to get better prices in local stores would be helpful.

I put together a lil' something that goes over the $500 but I would like to keep it under or $500.

Here's the list of parts I've picked:

    Old List:

My plan with this build is moslty play, stream and record, games at 60fps 1080p (Stream can be set up to 1080p 30FPS), the likes of: WoW, Guild Wars 2, League of legends and some other AAA titles Mostly open world RPG games.
I'm open to any suggestions and advices.

    Thanks in advance.
