Parallel flow for different blocks/components
Ben4iksXd replied to Ben4iksXd's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Probably the most efficient way would be a fully serial loop with a rad following after each component. So my thought now is pump-rad-cpu-rad-gpu- 4 replies

Parallel flow for different blocks/components
Ben4iksXd replied to Ben4iksXd's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Yep just as i thought. Then i will build a serial, with the cpu going 1st, since it will be lower power, and less heat is dumped to the next component. And besides i've heard the flow rate compensates for the heat dump, and order doesn't matter much. But what do you think about rads - serial or paralel?- 4 replies

Hi. I'm currently planning out a custom loop. I was wondering would parallel flow cause some flow issues for either component, if used on different blocks. I know it's best used for gpus in sli, since the impedance is the same, and the components should get the same water flow. But what would actually happen if used on different resistance blocks? As an example, parallel flow for a gpu and a cpu.

EK Loop Connect temperature probe based pwm?
Ben4iksXd replied to Ben4iksXd's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I have a real problem getting water cooling gear in my country, so i was hoping to get everything from ek. But if anyone could drop some hubs that support temp probe pwm would be nice. I could check if they're availible to buy for me. Thanks for all the replies! -
EK Loop Connect temperature probe based pwm?
Ben4iksXd replied to Ben4iksXd's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Thanks. I missed that part when watching the video initially. -
Hi, I have a question for any EK Loop Connect fan hub owners. I'm planning a future PC upgrade and building a custom loop. The hub comes with 3 temperature probe connectors and 3 probes included. But I wanted to know if they are just for monitoring, or I could set up fan speed from the temperature readings? I think it doesnt make sense to run fans in a loop from the cpu or gpu temps, since the fans will be cooling the liquid, not the components themselves. I have this problem with the Cooler master masterliquid lite 240 aio. I had to set a fan curve to raise fan speeds only when the cpu is really hot, to avoid random spikes in fan speed.

Yeah, i just watched the vid. Was a pretty good review. But i thought why not to soak up some more info for the final decision.

Hi. I have a situation where i don't have a smart tv but i am planning to make it smart by building a "console pc" for it when vega apus come out on am4. And i noticed the steam controller on sale. I was thinking about using it to play games from the couch and also as a tool to browse the internet and watch tv shows and youtube. So the question - Can any owners of the steam controller please tell me how does it fair as a replacement for a mouse? I know it has a touch pad, so it should be pretty decent. But before buying i want to hear some opinions about it.

Ok, looks like you have nothing to worry. I did some google searches and it seems that ddr4 operates safely at 1.4v and upping it to 1.45 and more may damage the memory and rarely even the cpu. So you should be fine.

Btw i don't know it it's only rumors. But i've read that rgb memory tends to die for no good reason on ryzen. Atleast on close-to-launch bioses. So i'dd check if it's true on your place and would be warry.

Hello. Big surprise(sarcasm), can't run this kit (Corsair 2x8 3200 venegance lpx) at the rated 3200 speed at the rated 1.35v. Max frequency i got was 2933 on 14;16;16;16;34, which is already pretty good for ryzen. Havent yet tried to tighten the timings. I tried to dial in 3200 even with the most loose timings possible, still wouldn't boot. I was wondering if it's safe to raise the voltage? Will it even make a difference? And if it's percfectly safe, to what extent and how high? And is it safe to lower timings even more? 1st time overclocking ram, sorry for the large amount of questions.

Hi, I'm planning to push the limits of my R5 1400. I ordered the MasterLiquid lite 120 cooler. I was wondering what TDP can it theoreticly handle? I can't seem to find info about it. Maybe someone knows for sure? And maybe i'm lucky enough to find an owner or this cooler to share his OC experience?
