Good point. According to Noctua's mainboard compatibility page, it blocks the top pcie x16 slot for the Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce, Z390 Designare, and Z390 M GAMING. The Z390 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce is meant to be liquid cooled. For the other two boards, the NH-D15S is a great alternative.

Seldom do I feel the need to express a job well done, but in this instance Maingear exemplified my journey of finding and building my perfect dream pc.
Initially our conversations concluded early due to a miscommunication, which then resulted in me purchasing from another company. Digital storm, which in reality — can not even be considered in the same arena as Maingear.
However, not happy with the quality and overall experience (I.e, missing components, broken glass, case, and post support). I wanted to make things right to be able to purchase from my company which vicariously reminds me of my obsession with Pagani.
When speaking and alleviating past conversations it was evident that it was mere miscommunication and we were able to move on amicably.
Wallace the owner of Maingear was proud of his craft and for a very good reason, build quality, delivery, and post purchase support is exceptional and essentially perfect.
The process did not take long approximately 28 days. Wallace along with his team, Jake, Nick, Warley, and Daniel were cognizant of my OCD tendencies and guided my build accordingly to the best outcome for being obsessive regarding products.
I was able to completely customize my “Ghost f131 edition” with gold fittings, Black liquid, and my own customized graphic that I had designed in front.
The shipping process went smoothly, and was incredibly well packaged on a crate with a cone stating nothing could be on the box.
My pc arrived only displaying 1024 x 768 on dual SLI, so that was incorrect ... trouble shooting I called in and had support re-download my drivers and found out my SLI bridge was disconnected ... but helped me get through it!
I would highly recommend Maingear and they will be the only place I want to purchase from.

The top rad ended up being a ridiculously tight fit with the rad touching the IO shield, front rad and rear fan. There was barely 1mm of wiggle room in any direction or at least thats how it seemed. The cable management was also a nightmare because of all the AIO cables and the 500mm extentions and radiators clogging up the case. I also ran the firmware update for both AIOs in CAM and it was interrupted by some other program shutting the PC down. For a moment it seemed that both were bricked but I managed to recover them with the reprogramming tool.
All in all very long wait and very stressful build but the results are awesome and I'm quite proud. This PC is going to be my gamedev, design, and gaming workstation.

Really impressive launch, I hope this shakes the market up as big as we all hoped so things change. Def interested in seeing more about overclocking...derbauer's video was very interesting.
It’s that time of the year again! Microsoft is about to release in the coming weeks or days a new version of Windows 10. Microsoft is not committing to any dates this time around to avoid the fiasco that happen last time. They are taking their time. So, it could be later in the month that it gets released. But so far, all looks good.
So, while we wait for the official release, here is everything you need to know for this update which had the code name 19H1:
Prerequisites / Reminder
This version of Windows features several changes done to the back of the OS, which requires the following:
Ensure that your games currently installed (yes) are fully updated before updating. More specifically, anti-cheat system such as BattleEye has been found to cause issues with this new version of Windows. Microsoft has worked with BattleEye already and a new version of BattleEye has been delivered to game makers. Other anti-cheat software may be affected as well, but they should have an update already if they haven’t been updated.
Ensure that your drivers are fully updated. Owner of the Creative X-Fi sound card are the main target here. Creative released updated drivers already.
The usual notes for each Windows version updates still stand:
Make sure all your drivers are updated.
Make sure your anti-virus is updated to the last version.
Backup your data before upgrading just in case of bad luck.
If you used registry cleaners in the past, you may expect to face issues.
Delivery of Update
Microsoft will deliver the update in waves. With “Seekers” firsts, then distributed in increasingly larger groups of people. Seekers are the word that Microsoft uses to identify that wants to get the update as soon as possible, and check for updates or use the Update Assistance that will be made available on Microsoft website to update to the latest version.

Last year, Microsoft introduced Dark Theme in Windows 10 to some extent. However, I you where to use light color, the task bar, start menu, Action center remained dark. This is going to change, with the introduction of Light Theme. Light brings nothing to File Explorer, just elements that used to be dark will now be light:

Windows 10 gives you the option to mix Dark and Light theme. So you can have it like before, or flip things around.

Pause Updates for All and Longer - Up to 35 Days!
Windows 10 Home users can now enjoy a feature that Windows 10 Pro had, which is the ability to pause updates. Of course, you can’t pause this coming up update, but once on it, you’ll be able to pause updates in the future. Previously you could pause updates by only 7 days. Now, you can pause updated for up to 35 days!.
Auto-Rollback Update and Pause
Update failed? Windows 10 will no longer let you stand there and blink. Windows 10 will now automatically rollback to restore your system the way it used to be, and automatically pause updates for 30 days. After the 30-day past, it will see if there was an update block that was placed, and if not, it will try the update again. If an update block was set, then once the update block is removed it will fetch the latest updates to the update it wants to install and try again.
Install Future Feature (like this one) When you want.
Starting with this coming up version of Windows 10, the release of updates will no longer be forced pushed to consumes. It will be manual install only, up to the end of life to current version.
When a feature update will be released, you'll see this in Windows Update:
Whenever you are ready, you'll get to hit the "Download and install now" link, and it will install the update. Only security updates (which includes cummulative updates as it contains them) will be forced to users. The End of Life of each version is usually 18 month.
Decoupling Cortana from Search
As you may have noticed from the screenshots above, if you have a good eye, is that Cortana is separated from Search. Search is the magnifying glass icon (or the search bar), and Cortana is the Cortana icon. If you want Cortana out of the way, you can simply right-click on the task bar, and uncheck the menu item “Show Cortana button”, and now you will just get the search bar or search icon (which ever you set it to).

Cortana OOBE Muted (Pro, Edu, Enter.)
If you clean install Windows 10 Professional, Education or Enterprise editions, Cortana will now be muted by default in the Out-Of-the-Box Experience setup.
Cortana + Microsoft To-Do
Cortana has now the ability to add items in a list in Microsoft To-Do. “Hey Cortana, add eggs to my Grocery list” And Cortana will add the entry in your Grocery list in To-Do app. You can have it also have Cortana add a reminder to call someone in your To-Do list. “Hey Cortana, remind me to add call James at 6:00 PM”, and it will add the entry in your Planned list in To-Do.
Console Improvements
A new tab in the Console window has been added with new options. These options affect the Console window of the Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL/Linux You can now make the console window no longer scroll down to near infinity. It stops at the last line. You can now fine tune the background and text colors of the console and change the cursor position shape and color.
Want it bigger or smaller? Ctrl+Scroll wheel! Hit the Control Key and use teh mouse scroll wheel (or touchpad scrool gesture if you are on a laptop) and you can make the Console bigger or smaller.
Notepad Improvements
We can’t forget Notepad. The little app now supports UTF-8 Encoding without a Byte Order Mark and is now the default. This was added for backward compatibility with ASCII and provide better interoperability with the web as more and more websites source code is saved in such way.
Did I save? Well, now you’ll know! Notepad now displays an asterisk (*) on the title bar next to the file name on a document that was modified and not saved yet.
New keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl+Shift+N will open a new Notepad window.
Ctrl+Shift+S will open the Save as… dialog.
Ctrl+W will close the current Notepad window.
Ctrl+[+] Make text bigger
Ctrl+[-] Make text smaller
Notepad now supports file with path that are now over 260 characters long.
Bug fixes:
Fixed: Notepad would count lines incorrectly for documents with very long lines.
Fixed: When you select a placeholder file from OneDrive in the File Open dialog, we would download the file to determine its encoding.
Fixed issue where Notepad would no longer create a new file when launched with a file path that didn’t exist.
Search – Enhanced Mode
If you have trouble with Windows Search, as it doesn’t find your stuff as they aren’t located where Windows indexes, and you don’t want to fiddle with Indexing options. You have a new Search mode called Enhanced which you can enable.
Start > Settings > Search > Searching Windows
Right below the Enhanced option, you can define a list of folders to excludes. It is already populated with Program Files directories, Windows, AppData, and other similar locations to get you started.
Another new thing is “Top App” bar at the top of the main Search panel page. When you open Search panel, you have a bar showing you the apps you use the most for quick access.
Brightness Slider
For mobile device screens, you no longer have the brightness button which was jumping to different brightness settings as you hit it. Now you have a Brightness Slider.
Redesign Quick Actions Editing in Action Center
Microsoft has reworked the way you edit the quick action buttons in the Action Centers. Before you had to go to the Settings panel to do it, where you had separate section to add/remove the buttons and another to move them around. Now, you can simply go to the Action Center, right-click on one of the buttons, and you’ll have the menu item “Edit quick actions”. When you pick it, you can now move these action button around, unpin them, or pick the button that will appear “Add” to add one back.
Windows Sandbox
Pro edition users can enjoy a new feature called Windows Sandbox. Once enabled in the Optional Feature panel, you can start a sandboxed Windows 10 environment which starts in a clean state at every startup (so don’t save things inside, the moment you close it, everything is wiped gone). If you want a test environment for system changes, or test a program, or check a file that you question, then this is for you. Anything that happens inside, remains inside the sandbox environment. Your personal files or system aren’t affected.
Start Menu Unpin Groups
You can now unpin Start menu live tiles groups. Just right-click the title of a group and pick “Unpin group from Start”
Seperate Process
The Start menu is now a seperate process (ShellExperienceHost.exe). This allows you to restart the Start menu without restarting explorer if it gets jam. If the Start menu crashes, it doesn't take explorer.exe with it loosing all your open folders and everything with it.
Office online included with Windows 10
If you are doing a clean install of Windows 10, you’ll quickly notice from the Start Menu, that you have Word, Excel and PowerPoint included. Those tiles will launch the web version of the corresponding Office app. This is to make it aware to users about the free Office online that has been availible for many years. If you install Office suit, those icons will open the actual program. Talking about Office, the Office app got updated, and features more of a menu where you can see your recently worked documents. Depending if you have the official Office suit installed or not, it will open the document on the web or using the desktop program. So now, the Office app has a much better purpose then before.

Snip & Sketch Improvements
Snip & Sketch got updated with a missing feature that the old Snipping Tool offered: The ability to take a screenshot of a window. Now, you have the option.
So now, you can simply, hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard, and pick the option in blue in the screenshot above, and just roll over the window you want to take a screenshot off and click.
(If Print Screen does not open Snip & Sketch, and you want it do this: Simply go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard, and scroll down to Print Screen shortcut, and enable the option).
In addition, you can now print your screenshot directly from the app, as well as a Settings panel has been added.
But wait there is more! You can now do Delay Snap, giving you a few seconds to prepare your screen shot before taking it, like get a right-click menu, or focus on a window.
Sticky Notes Goes 3.1
Sticky notes now support dark mode (you probably have this feature, as it is an app updated through the Store app)

Swift Key and hardware keyboard auto-correct support for more languages
In the last version of Windows 10, Microsoft has incorporated Swift Key in the touch screen keyboard. In addition, Windows introduced spellchecker as you type, phone style, when you use your physical keyboard (disabled by default). These features were restricted in the languages it supported. t has now expanded to other languages:
English (Canada) – en-CA
English (India) – en-IN
French (Canada) – fr-CA
French (Belgium) – fr-BE
French (Switzerland) – fr-CH
Portuguese (Portugal) – pt-PT
German (Switzerland) – de-CH

File Explorer Improvement
Friendly Dates format, when you are using Detail View in a folder, you can now right-click on the headers of columns, and pick “Use Friendly Dates”. Now, you have dates that I no longer in the classic format with slashes, but instead have it written it out, for example: September 12, 2017, or if it is the current year: October 12

Privacy Improvements
Microphone icon will appear in the notification tray when a program uses your system microphone or webcam with embedded microphone. Now, you know if you are being listened or not.
New Sign-in Option
You can now login to your account on your system using a security key. Simply go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options, and insert your security key into the USB port, and pick “Security Key”. Follow the wizard and you are ready to go.
Active Hours Improvements
By default, now, Windows 10 will determine your active hours automatically. Microsoft realized that many people don’t adjust their active hours, so now Microsoft decided to have a system which does that automatically based on computer usage. By default, it starts from 8am to 5pm, and that time period and length will adjust by itself as you use more your system. Of course, if you disable this option, you can define your time period as before.
The automated system gives the ability to have the system learn about changes in users’ habits as well. For example, if you are a student, your active hours between the month where you have school, will be different when you are in your summer break, and so the system will automatically adjust over time.
The time period it considered as active hours is displayed in the settings panel where you have the option to enable or disable this option.
Ability to adjust pointer size
You can adjust the pointer size of Windows at fine level. Previously, cursors where a series of images that it which switch on. Based on that, you could have cursors theme that were larger than others. By default, you have preset system cursor, Normal, large and Extra Large. But if you wanted something in between or large than the largest option, you could not get, unless you find a cursor pack that fits your needs. Now, you have a slider that is availible to adjust the cursor size based on your needs. It also affects the custom cursor that some program uses.
You can find this option under Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Cursor & Pointers:
(Cursors in games, may be affected depending on the game cursor implementation (custom implementation or using OS native one))
Open Task Manager to a Tab by default
You can now set a tab to have the Task Manager to open to when launched. Simply, open the Task manager, and on the top menu, pick Options > Set default tab, and pick the tab you want the Task Manager to open to next time.

Windows Mixed Reality
Support for Win32 program execution under the Mixed Reality environment is now supported.
Reserved Disk Space for Updates
Windows will now reserve disk space on your system to always ensure you have space to execute Windows Updates so that you don’t need to fight with space, if you are in low disk when an update comes. It reserves around 7GB from your C:\ drive. Windows Update

Laptop/Tablet Display
Previously, Windows had a brightness slider between battery and power on mobile devices. The problem with this is that at times, when you go and unplug the device power to go mobile, the screen increases in brightness because this is what it was last set to. Now, you still have this dual brightness configuration, but Windows will no longer make the screen brighter than the current plugged in setting when going on battery.

Windows Defender / Windows Security
Temper Protection feature has been added to Windows Security (aka: Windows Defender). This option provides additional protections against changes to key security features, including limiting changes which are not made directly through the Windows Security app. This feature is enabled by default and can be disabled in the Windows Security panel (Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Virus & Threat Protection Settings).

Please notes that I excluded the build-in apps of Windows unless it is specific to this version as normally Windows built-in apps are updated through the Windows Store and you may already have new features/changes already, or they are coming soon after this update. I invite you to check them out yourself, and discover.
If you are interested in the new Edge using Chromium now, this is apart from Windows now. A public preview will be announced soon. It is believed that a version will be made for Windows 7, 8, 10, OSX and Linux, like Chromium. Stay tune on the Tech News section for the news of when it goes live and more details.
Update/Download Update
Microsoft has started to release the May 2019 update in waves to seeker (those who manually check for updates) at the moment of writing:
Please note, before upgrading:
Make sure your drivers are fully updated before checking for updates. This include things like: memory card reader and sound card (especially if you have the Creative X-Fi physical sound card)
Make sure all your installed games are fully updated.
If you use any security software, make sure they are all fully updated.
Once you have the above, you should be ready in getting the update, however, it may still not show up if you are not part of the wave release. You'll need to be patient.
If you want to force the update, you can, by running the Windows 10 Update Assistance (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10 - click on "Update now" blue button at the top of the page). As we speak, Media Creation Tool has not been updated to fetch the May 2019 update. If you force the update, be sure to follow the bullets point mentioned before running it. Forcing the update may subject you to issues as you are by-passing possible update blocks that might affect you. If you want the most assured upgrade experience, it is best to wait for your wave and not force the update.
CRITICAL:
Before you upgrade: Microsoft shares "Known issues" where upgrade blocks are in place with the update until the issue is solved. If you are forcing the upgrade, be SURE you are not affected by the known issue until they are fixed to ensure a smooth upgrade experience.

What's After?
We know very little. It seems that the next update will be a very small update. Service Pack style. However, things may change. Microsoft is focusing more on the update following the next one with more feature focused.

It basically stems down to this. For subzero, liquid metal is garbage. You are better off using TG Kyronaut or Gelid on the bare die. If you are not going subzero, then liquid metal cannot be beat. As far as longevity goes, I've had CLU on mine on for a little over a year now, and my friends have had CLU on their 4790k's for a few years now. I would say after about 2-3 years, you will want to reapply it. It's thermal results won't get worse (at least, not in my tests) but over time, it does leave a sand-like texture on the die and underside of the IHS. You will have to lightly sand this texture off both the die and IHS if you leave it on too long. Again, this won't damage anything, it's just an inconvenience more than anything.
Now, if you want a liquid metal that doesn't turn into a sand-like texture, then Conductonaut is getting some high praise in that department. Thermal performance is very similar to CLU and Phobya as well. @Lays can chime in on this, as he has spent far more time reapplying his CLU than anybody I know. I'll also throw in @done12many2 since at this point, he has officially delidded more CPU's than my entire crew, lol.
I would sell them separately. That block also fits FE/FE Board 1080 Tis, so it's reasonably valuable. WIth regards to the card itself, about $100 more than a 1080 Ti, so maybe $500
I just sold 2 Titan X Pascals, each with EK water blocks and back plates on them for about $550 per. There are people out there that will by ready-made water-cooled cards. You just have to find them.
