  1. Just to comment and add to WoodenMarker's suggestions I have a Gigabyte Z390 Master and a NH-D15S, works great and no clearance issues. Previously I had a NH-U12A but wasn't thrilled with the perf for the $20 premium. Exchanged it for the D15S and imo it has a better sound profile and I noticed slightly better temps. I recently ditched a custom loop and went back to air and I gotta say the D15/D15S is a really good product and highly recommended.
  2. I use a commander pro for my case fans and fans on my gpu (morpheus II) which is a mix of Noctua Chromax fans and LL140's. For my NHU12A I use the motherboard header. Overall I've been pretty happy with the commander pro. It had some kinks in the beginning with software and I had to RMA it once cause it died randomly but all in all it is a solid product. Previously when I had watercooling I used a swiftech 8x pwm fan hub connected to my motherboard fan header and used the bios fan curve to control it.
  3. I have the NH-U12A, pretty good cooler. You could could look into the NH-D15S which has better ram clearance that the regular NH-D15, it only uses one fan but still performs very well. the "S" has a different heatsink design.
  4. Incredible build. Well done!
  5. Weird code name, also weird to draw such an assumption from such a small bit of info but that is wccftech for you. I won't be shocked if they do a 2080 Ti Super, NV seems to only care about releasing new sku's not if those sku's make any sense or not. Typical marginal gain refresh game we've all been playing the last few generations now...from both brands.
  6. Really impressive launch, I hope this shakes the market up as big as we all hoped so things change. Def interested in seeing more about overclocking...derbauer's video was very interesting.
  7. I like them being overbuilt and lately Gigabyte has been making some fantastic boards. I love my Aorus Z370 Master. If I were to build an X570 based system it'd def be with one of their new boards. ...now if they could just make better software....
  8. Sorry if this has been answered, I googled but didn't find a clear answer. Is this 10c/20t part to use existing Z390 hardware? Or is this another new chip/new board kinda thing?
  9. Haha well, it has coil whine under load. I had to take the case panel off to hear it and get my ear about 10 inches away but I definitely hear electrical noise coming from my 2080 Ti while under load. With my case panel on I do not hear it. I hear my D5 pump over everything else. I hope this helps and I wish you good luck on a solution. As someone who is sensitive to noise and suffers from tinnitus.... I get it.
  10. I have a pretty silent custom loop system. I haven't heard any electrical noise from my eVGA 2080 Ti Black. I'll double check again tonight and post back.
  11. btw in regards to the windows store: I did this and it works.
  12. Bored at work, decided to remote into my desktop at home via chrome remote desktop and bench it.
  13. Looks like Bitspower fittings. I like the cpu blocks, gpu block....eh.
  14. Oh excellent! Been a while since I sold hardware these days. I used to do it on Futuremark. Any advice on best place for that?
  15. Yea come to think of it I ran into that same issue when I tried to sell my 780 Ti and waterblock
  16. Hey all, not sure if this is the correct forum to ask but.... What do you think is the going rate for a Titan X Pascal? Bought it new on launch day in 2016, it's a decent clocker. 2038Mhz 24/7 with an EKWB and back plate installed. I'd reinstall the stock air cooler and sell it with the block as a combo. My buddy says $600-700 for the combo, any input?
  17. Well... it isn't bad but it isn't anything to write home about. I'll just keep waiting.
  18. Some pretty weird results. Either way.... embargo ends Thursday. Not worth getting all worked up about this.
  19. Wow! Seriously....Wow! I really hope that 3850X is real cause that will 100% be my next purchase.
  20. 8700K seems like the better buy, 9700k if it sold for MSRP. From a gaming perspective.
  21. http://www.principledtechnologies.com/ They pretty clearly say they are a marketing firm. Benchmarking/testing is basically a presentation tool for them.
  22. Saw a new accord in traffic the other day that had been pretty much blacked out. The chrome "brow" appeared to have been wrapped in black. Was actually a good improvement. I very much like the headlights and the side body lines of the new Accord. The rear could use some work. Dropping the V6 was a terrible mistake.
  23. I agree, I had the same questions in my prior post. If I was the investigator I'd seek more footage from the camera available dating back further to just see what kind of activity has been there leading up to the incident. May see something there. It will be interesting to see how this gets resolved.
