This is a copy of my post over on reddit, but i figure the more insight into this the better :)
I'm at a loss currently and I'm wanting to get some other perspectives on this before I start ripping apart my pc again. Currently, I have ek Phoenix quick disconnect setup for my GPU [1080ti] and CPU [2950x] using two EK-MLC Phoenix 360 Radiator Core Modules. My GPU at idle is under 30c normally sitting at 27-29c. My cpu on the other hand with stock setting goes from 40c to 60c for no apparent reason with less than 10% load, and if I enable precision boost in the ryzen master it goes from 50c to 60c and won't get any colder under the same 10% load. To begin with just around a year ago my temps with the CPU boosting to 4.4-4.5 under the precision boost overclock consistently wouldn't even hit 60c, the highest it would get was low 50c's.
I'm wanting to know if my thermal paste [thermal grizzly kryonaut] has gone bad and I need to replace it. First time using the stuff so I'm not sure about the life of it. Or if the CPU block is known to be bad and is now just clogged with gunk... Honestly just not looking forward to taking the stuff apart to figure it out/I'm out of CPU paste and can't buy any for around another week so I'm here getting thoughts first.
