  1. when you reset your bios, check you boot device settings. and does it give any beeps or anything?
  2. some laptops, depending on design can be helped alot by raising it a bit from the desk. if you are sitting on a desk and if its on a pillow or anything else move it to a desk so it can suck in more air. also there are some laptop cooler things that can blow air in the laptop but i have no idea if they are worth anything.
  3. Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm Blæser - 140 x 140 x 25 mm, 300~1500 RPM, the operating range is between 300-1500 and is set via PWN. all low noise fans are running slower, but are still moving alot of air. if you need more airfow yes you can raise it but at 35c your system is more than fine.
  4. instead of out in the hallway cant you make it so i can go out the window? it might even be more ghetto that way but regarding your setup do you only have 1 exhaust on the system? and how many intakes? air travels the easiest way so if the pipe restricts it to much it will just pop out of all cracks and stuff on the case. the bigger diamater pipe you use the less pressure you need to push it so even if you dont have a fan that fits in it a higher diamater pipe will help the exhaust. you can also add fans inside the pipe to help it . also the pipe itself will give off a fair amount of heat. all in all DBX10 seems to have the math down for the pipe
  5. just to make sure you have connected the GPU with power connector on top as well right? the PCI 8pin? and in the bios you havent set it to use the internal graphics only?
  6. exactly as he says. doesnt matter at all to have to many watts a power supply has safety wise, the only reason not to put in a way to big PSU is efficiency.
  7. no reason not to overclock it. else why get the K version iam not to much into the AMD GPU, but the 1050 is definently slower than your CPU. there are plenty guides to help you OC, a bit more voltage keep an eye out for temps and raise the multiplier. no reason to mess with blck and such personally iam running a i7-2700k and a GTX 1070, and its a okay match when CPU is overclocked. until they make more games (which will come) that use multicore better than one is fine for gaming.
  8. depends on the games, but run games look at your utilization, if GPU is 100% all the time you know where the bottleneck is. i would suspect it to be the weakpoint since the CPU is at great value, usually the GPU handles most of the gaming stuff so its a natural bottleneck. iam still running a sandy brigde CPU
  9. well you got the system running at least if you want you can plug the pump in another header and stick the cooler in cold or hot water and feel if the radiator changes temp, just disconnect the fans from the the AIO, then you will know if the pump is running. and again the bios, hwmonitor should show pump speed.
  10. which AIO are you using? the RGB could have a seperate connector. vibrations can come from alot of stuff and good pumps dont really vibrate. but you should be able to monitor the pump speed with hwmonitor or even in bios, depending on motherboard. Please provide system details then it can be a bit more detailed advice.
  11. i dont know that cooler but i your are using all cores 100% at 4,72ghz, that is gonna generate alot of heat. ( but i can see its a triple rad, so should be able to cool it) The main thing i wonder about in that chart of your cooler is the pump, why is it basicly on/off so many times? can you try adjusting it to run more constantly? but the water temp seems to be fine, 44,2 degrees. so either the pump isnt moving it proper or the weak point is mounting, so the cooler on CPU connection.
  12. yeah what he says, and yes you should get fine 1080p performance, the 2600 is non k i guess?
  13. how did we go from this kind of usecase to a 12 core ryzen upgrade and a GPU upgrade. i still think you can achieve alot of improvement by setttings adjustments, and i had tried buying better ram first, they will work in the new rig to. 7700 is not a slow CPU. as for USB slots use a USB hub unless you need 7 usb 3 interfaces. mouse, keyboard, aut dongle etc doesnt require any where near a full usb ports capability. the other discussion about all that hardware seems way over the top, and i dont think with youre usecase you will get a feeling that i performs that much better when comparing to the price you are paying.
  14. well the short answer is yes it is bottlenecked, but it wouldnt upgrade if it was me. are you running vertical sync or another thing to fit refresh rate of monitor and computer? in my experience not many games max out a 4,2ghz 4core cpu. personally iam running a i7-2700k with a 1070, on 1140p 144hz screen. and the CPU is not bottlenecking. but the 2070 is also quite a upgrade. but regarding to this, yes it will definitely work well together. but a expensive upgrade for not that much of a bump in performance.
  15. how high is the load on GPU, when cpu is hitting 100% ?
  16. Yes with those settings your cpu is apperently bottlenecking your gpu. but I7 7700 is no slow CPU and when youre running low-medium and i guess with high fps count on 1920x1080?. iam more conserned about you say it drops if you go higher settings? you have a very powerfull GPU so when you run lower settings (resolutions and details) it will demand even more of your CPU. i dont see any reason to upgrade your CPU, but how many FPS are you getting in games? and are you running a high frame rate monitor so you need high FPS?
  17. ceiled case to not pollute your cooling liquid with water and it should work. but i dont know if it could dissolve any part of the system, like cables etc. but its gonna be expensive and unhandy as hell, but just as cool also you have the possibility to have a free chiller attached to run ambient without actibve chilling
  18. just googled the fans included they are only 3 pin connectors. so what he says
  19. My fan curves are not at all optimized but does stay cool with no issues. Didnt run the stress test that long but as said the fan curves kick in and keep it all cool but iam also using 2 fans on the dark rock, 2 140mm fans and 1 120mm, but in a shitty case allthough my voltage is set to 1.335 i can se its higher in here.
  20. it does what it advertised at TDP and such, AND ITS BLACK iam using on a i7-2700k overclocked with no issue. But if the airflow in your case isnt great it cannot perform, it cannot go under ambient, which in this case is inside the case. your evo 212 might have been oriented a bit better in forms of airflow in your case. to be fair it is a huge cooler and i had ram clearence issues etc but it pulled out a old custom water loop 360 rad with this one and it still did the job. though my old setup was also a bit overkill.
  21. Alot of it is also up to airflow in case. the AIO has the advantage of taking clean air or expelling it directly out wheres the dark rock is dependent on case fans for both. i am running with a dark rock pro 4 and a i7-2700k at 4,7 ghz, cant remember the voltage though with no problems, i can update this with temps and voltage for reference.
  22. just had my daugters new laptop with this issue and couldnt find a answer on why BD prochot throttled at 40 degrees c. After quite alot of trubleshooting, and comfirming with throttlestop I updated the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver. To fix the issue. this was on a i5-5300u through.
  23. as both of them say. youre MOBO needs a bios update to work with that CPU Ryzen 5 3600 needs bios version 4801 while your old CPU could run on bios 0406 ohh you answered meanwhile, please check your bios version so see if it 4801 or newer
  24. after you upgraded did you make a fresh windows install?? and does the problem only occur in online games? if so skip DL/UP speed doesnt say much but the MS the test provide could tell you something. Also what else is on the same router. online games dont take that much bandwith but if you are using the full bandwith some packages will have to wait, and that is anoying if its your online game that want new position of everybody else. QOS on the router could help with that part. so the milliseconds it takes to arrive is more important than Up and Down speed
  25. have you tried a couple of different connectors for it? if it works in another and when you touch it sounds a bit like missing GND or something that then connected when you grab it..
