I am running windows 11 22H2 with all current updates on my Surface Laptop Studio. It's my only device and I can't login after the computer goes to sleep once, I have to restart the device. When the computer reboots for the first time, I see the normal login screen with my username and the ability to type my password. After the device goes to sleep once, I see a screen that says "hold the power and volume down button or Control alt delete to unlock", followed by a login screen that says other user that prompts me to input a username and password. My typical username and password doesn't unlock the device and I haven't been able to figure out the right combo, it likely has something to do with my microsoft account . netplwiz under advanced has this tickbox checked and greyed out, and I can't modify it. I changed no settings, had no updates, installed no software, and downloaded nothing before this started occurring. I'm really at a loss. Also my DisableCad DWORD is 1, so it should be disabled. I received my SSD last Friday from amazon, and have had this stupid annoying issue ever since. I get an error code 38 on the drive (check screen shot) and have to hard restart my computer to get it to reconnect. Running a Surface Book 2, the majority of the time the drive is connected to my surface dock. I never had this problem before on any of my other external drives and I was wondering if there is a way to resolve this before I return the drive. I don't know anywhere else to go to troubleshoot this :(

Hey Guys, I want a laptop for college that can (hopefully) last me the 4 years, I'm not looking for a "future proof" laptop, just one that can handle being carried around for 4 years and put under heavy load without breaking. I prefer OS X but HATE the new keyboards they have on their laptops and their soldered SSDs. I want something stylish and thin, and I was looking at the blade 2018. I currently have a surface book i5 dGPU that's getting a bit long in the tooth. Ideally, I would get a surface book 2, but they don't offer 6 core CPUs and I want to be able to render projects overnight and a 6 core would be ideal. So, what I want: Display: Good enough, preferably over 1080p touchscreen doesn't matter unless I could replace my surface book with it for note-taking. CPU: Most power I can get Size: Thin as possible while not sacrificing too much Battery: Minimum 4hr usage OS: Doesn't matter GPU: Ideally over a 1050, but it's for light gaming, I don't need something crazy Overall, I think a 2018 blade would be nearly perfect, but I have firsthand experience with their extreme RMA rate. Are there any suggestions for laptops that fit the bill here? Also: Anyone have a 2018 MacBook pro 15"? I would like one, but the keyboard and the high failure rate of the pro, in general, has kept me wary.

Has anyone found a way to revert the chrome UI to the old look? I really dislike the new one and the overuse of white and curves.

Thanks a bunch for your suggestion guys!! I checked the settings in proxmox and the network setup was a weird hybrid of settings from comcast and my previous ISP Att. I ended up resetting all the network addresses for DNS and DHCP and rebooted and it works fine.

Yes it is set as the default gateway, internet works fine.

OK I tried that, same issue. Error connection timed out, port says its closed. I don't see what Im doing wrong here, I followed the guide on netgates website. I will attach my settings.

Honestly, in this situation, it just makes more sense to me to set up your pc/nas thing, run windows server on it, and drop steam on there for in-home streaming.

Hello! So I recently got gigabit internet in my home and I thought it would be a great time to get rid of the rental router modem combo thing and drop in my own router. I used a Dell PowerEdge r610 with 2 E5540s as the base for the router, installed Proxmox, made myself a VM for PFsense and installed it. Everything works beautifully with the virtualized LAN and WAN ports, but even after trying to port forward using NAT in PF sense, I am unable to access the Proxmox web environment from outside my internal network. I have forwarded port 8006 through PFsense NAT, yet online port checkers say it is closed. My network: Modem(wan) --> r610(eno1) PFsense dedicated WAN port, passed through Proxmox --> r610(eno2) LAN (another passthrough port)--> Switch --> Proxmox r610 (eno4) (another dedicated port, just for proxmox). I know there are security flaws to having the Proxmox web environment exposed externally, I don't care. I want to be able to access it when I am away from home, not through SSH. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!!

I don't know if I want to go any higher, my temps are getting into the high 80s, but I think I got a pretty good score on my every day OC. 5GHz @1.31 vcore. I got a pretty good chip methinks...

So I have an 8700k that I run at 5ghz daily. It takes 1.31v to get there 100% stable. Is this a good silicon lottery chip or is this pretty sucky? Also, would it be worth delidding to lower my temperatures for a higher oc? I mainly do rendering in blender and premiere on the PC and I have a kraken x61 in there for cooling.
