  1. Hi all, I just picked up a new Pixel 7 and loaded both my email accounts onto it. One is a gmail account and the other is through a different domain for work. I'm getting notifications just fine for my gmail account, but the other isn't working. Once I open the app and switch to that account all the notifications come at once, but never when the emails actually arrive. The account has notifications enabled and is set to sync, and I've already disabled battery optimization for the app. Any other ideas? I had no issue getting push notifications for both accounts on my old phone. Thanks!
  2. Weird right? Maybe a third party messaging app is in order. I could try the Samsung one?
  3. Even just multiple files within the same folder. Once you've navigated away from the default by pressing "folders", it seems to only allow you to pick one photo to attach, then you have to go back in and do it over again to attach a second one.
  4. Hi everyone, My dad just got a new phone (Galaxy S23), and had everything cloned off his old Samsung so he wouldn't have to deal with setup. But I think because of that, the folder that the messages app pulls from by default for sending photos, which is the "Recent" folder in the Samsumg gallery, is all out of order. Impossible to find anything. I know he can simply press "folders" and go find the "Camera" folder (or Google Photos) which still has all his photos in order, but it only allows you to select one photo to send at a time. He's often sending 10+ at once over text for work so that's extremely annoying. Is there a way to change the default folder for sending photos over text? Or to select multiple photos at once if he has to navigate to the right folder? Thanks!
  5. Thanks, yeah that's what I was afraid of...
  6. Hey all, I have a strange situation: A friend has a Yeti USB mic and a wireless headset which connects to his PC via a Type-C dongle. He wants to monitor the mic with no latency in the headphones while staying wireless (basically to DIY the "transparent mode" on ANC headphones to hear himself and his surroundings), but this requires him to plug into the headphone jack on the mic, cause I assume achieving this through software is not really possible. The male 3.5mm to female USB-C adapter that he would need does not appear to exist, or at least I can't find it. Is that because this would require some additional logic? Also, is this possible at all or will bluetooth latency be too noticeable? What's his best solution? Thanks!
  7. Well folks I found an incredible deal and ordered a pair of ER3SE's for half-price. Wish me luck!
  8. Thanks! Any other recommendations for something flatter? Totally agree with you on that front. I get that a scooped curve is more "fun" to listen to, but even mixing needs aside, I prefer some damn mids in my music!
  9. Thanks, I'll check these out! I'm leaning towards these because I already use Etymotic earplugs. They hurt for a while when I started using them, but now I'm used to those crazy flange tips so I think it might be a good call.
  10. Ooh I'll check out the Etymotics for sure, I have earplugs from them that I really like. Heard about the Aria before as well. Thanks!
  11. Hi folks! A couple years ago I bought some KZ ZST IEMs and they were great for $20, but now I think one of them is starting to die. I have a bit more cash now as well, so I'm thinking I could go a little higher quality. My number one priority is a flat frequency response, as these will be used primarily for monitoring live recordings as well as some mixing. Games and listening to music as well, but those are less of a focus. Price range is probably around $100. The Shure SE215s seem like a good bet, but I don't know too much of what's out there. Thoughts?
  12. Ooh I see, I guess a separate account would be the best way. That's at least a decent workaround for now, thank you!
  13. He mostly wants to stream it for people on discord so I figured that wouldn't work. Would it let him be in the same channel on two devices, talking on one and sharing screen on the other? We'll try that
  14. Hey guys, My friend is trying to mirror the display on his iPad to his PC so he can stream it. His PC doesn't have wifi, and I can't find any software that can use a wired connection instead of Airplay that isn't a subscription. Anyone know of anything? Thanks!
  15. Hi all, I've started a lossless library of all the music I own, and organized it in a basic folder structure in Windows (Artist>Album>Song Files). But I can't find a single program that will play them sequentially, even though each song has the "#" section filled out in the file metadata. Tried windows media player, VLC, Foobar2000, all of them either do nothing or restart the same track when I press next track. What do I gotta do to get it to play an album through without having to click each song? What am I missing? Any help much appreciated.
  16. I've thought about Plex, and I might try something like that in the future. But I don't have a NAS right now, and if I'm already streaming on my phone or laptop, then I don't really care about audio quality so Spotify is fine. I really just want a way to organize everything well.
  17. Hi all, I've decided to finally start a high-quality, backed up library of all the music I own. Digital downloads, CDs, etc. Windows media player doesn't seem like a great solution because the files themselves don't seem to be named when I input the info through media player, so it'll be a mess to back up. I don't particularly just want to have everything in plain old folders either. Is there a good program for sorting and playback of music that will allow for easy backup as well? Thanks!
  18. Indeed, though they're usually referred to as an audio interface. Essential as a bedroom musician because they provide inputs for instruments and microphones, but are also usually better quality than onboard sound.
  19. Hey everyone, I built my roommate a PC recently, but his wifi has been consistently bad and I'm not sure why. He's running a TP-Link AC1200 adapter with the drivers installed. We're both 1 wall away from the router, yet his connection is far worse - about half my download speed and frequent stuttering that I almost never experience. Tried reinstalling the driver, really not sure what else could be the issue. Unfortunately ethernet is not an option.
  20. I'd go with the 215s, but that's definitely a personal preference. I've heard really good things about the T5, not sure about the Final or Monoprice. I'm running KZ ZSTs right now specifically because, with a bit of EQ tuning, they sound very similar to a pair of 215s and are much cheaper (I tend to lose/break my IEMs often). I'm not sure if there's a difference between the generations sound-wise.
  21. Thanks! Yes, what you depicted in the drawings is exactly the advice I've followed to try and rule out my setup and posture as the issue. I think I may order that mouse and see what happens.
  22. Hi everyone! I've had tendonitis in my wrists, particularly the right one, from using a mouse and keyboard for a few years, but it's gotten bad recently. I've already made sure that my setup is as ergonomic as possible with the gear I have, and I switched to a 60% keyboard so my hands are parallel with my shoulders while playing games, which I think did help somewhat. And I do wear a brace and ice it regularly. But my mouse hand is still pretty bad. I've been using a logitech G402 for years, and I think it may be a lot of the problem. I was looking at vertical 'ergonomic' mice and wanted to know everybody's thoughts on these. Most are expensive but I did find this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MZB4MYL/ref=as_li_ss_tl?pf_rd_r=QQ59Y584ENM7E581QY0V&pf_rd_p=ab873d20-a0ca-439b-ac45-cd78f07a84d8&linkCode=sl1&tag=ergotrends-20&linkId=1fdc8e4306a5d1149483f263bf133cd4&language=en_US&th=1 Which is so cheap I might just pick it up even if I'm not sure I'll like it. Does anyone have experience with RSI/tendonitis and/or using mice like this? Other solutions? Thanks!
  23. Yep, Nvidia clean install. GPU is a 1060, and the audio is just a good ole' Realtek HD thing. Tried both the rear and front panel jacks. I forgot to mention above that we also tried a fix where you switch the Realtek driver out for a generic Windows audio driver, which didn't seem to do anything.
  24. Hi all, I've been trying to help a friend diagnose an issue with his PC. He recently upgraded to a boot SSD, and since reinstalling Windows, the audio and video will gradually drift out of sync when watching any video content in a browser. Youtube, Netflix, etc. So far I've tried: Turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome Using a different browser (also with HW acc. disabled) Switching to a different audio device Updating/reinstalling audio and GPU drivers. Nothing has worked. I'm close to just walking him through reinstalling Windows, but I'd rather not have to, so figured I'd ask here first. Thanks!
  25. Ok, glad I was worried for no reason. Thanks guys!
