  1. Ill have to double check but most of the time when I pause it is for the sole purpose of exiting the client and starting it back up and from what Ive seen I don't seem to lose any progress doing so but I also haven't been paying much attention definitely will have to do some testing after the 5th of next month.
  2. Gpus are also much more efficient at folding a single 2060 will get you over 1 million ppd. Then there are the crazies like myself with my 1080ti, 2070, and two 970s.
  3. Well when you have a literally army of GPUs you're more likely to pull from those servers. lol
  4. Yeah this is a problem that is mostly solved but there are a few assignment servers that had some networking issues that were causing stuck slots and failed downloads like that but they changed the load to not favor those effected servers so it is a lot less likely to end up with that problem.
  5. Yeah that's pretty crazy for just cpu and 1 gpu. I'm pretty sure there was another gpu in the mix there.
  6. If you let us know your hardware too we can let you know if that is what you should be getting or if your leaving points on the table. Also if you look at the EOC team page it shows how many people are producing over what thresholds in the team next to the top 20 producers. You are the team!!! lol so assuming the 1080ti is producing 1.3m of it then its 1m that hes pulling from 5 cpus? which cpus are they?
  7. In current production we are right on the heals of curecoin.
  8. For the 1080ti strix that I got I was looking at the same dilemma and the difference came down to power limits. The oc has a slightly higher power limit than the standard strix as well as a better oc out of the box and likely a better achievable oc (we are talking withing a few % of each other though). I don't know for sure if this directly translates to the 20 series but would imagine so if they are going with the same naming scheme.
  9. The top looks great. If there was anything to add just it would just be that if they had any questions or concerns they could pm one of us if they wanted as well since this thread is getting crowded and we might not see every post. Otherwise I think were simply going to mark best answer as the points update and the blog posts. But are you able to mark best answer or just do the moderator header like that in case @GOTSpectrum isn't available? Fermi is definitely older now but also folding will assign more optimized WU's after it learns your hardware a bit more so it might go up as it learns what work units it should send but probably not much. Depending on your cpu you might be able to make up for one of those cards by simply adding your cpu to the fold. I was running my 970s and a 670 on 1x risers for a while and for the 670 it was about a 20% hit as for the 970 though it was easily about a 50% hit 8x is generally good for anything under the power of a 2080ti would be my guess since I have never seen a performance drop on any of my cards when I run 8x but it is really dependent on the power of the card as to how much it needs to communicate with the cpu. you might want to try lowering the mem oc on the titan in folding if a memory error corrupts a frame it will try to recover that frame by redoing it and wont fail immediately but will take more time since it has to do the same job twice. Ah folding the easiest way to figure the limits of the thermal dissipation of your room. lol. It does also depend on how many threads you are folding on but that sounds about right since a 4790k is about 44k points.
  10. Yep we have you in the sheet. For anyone else wondering we will have the first day update post sometime later this day and that will have all of the final entries.
  11. We all have rough days. lol. But hey now you know your 2080ti can handle it with terrible air flow.
  12. I think that's close to what some people are getting in ideal work units.
  13. This page has a lot of really good info. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA/Tips_and_tricks
  14. There are nvidia smi settings to limit power usage that might be a good first stet to limit it to 250w.
  15. We will see about that. I'm still about 1m ppd behind you right now with almost nothing left up my sleeve. But might try to run the laptop 24/7 but that might be a challenge since it is also my main work computer and I do have to travel around to clients and stuff from time to time.
  16. So long as its completed after 00:00 btc then yes it will count toward the event. Most of us though have had our systems already folding though. Also if you hold onto a work unit over time you lose your Quick Return Bonus since it is based on how quickly you submit a complete work unit back.
  17. Please tell me that's all you have. I'm trying to stay within spitting distance of you this year.
  18. Link in the op of this thread for the signup for this event.
  19. If you find a way so that google timestamps you to signup on sep 31st on our end then yes we will give you the win overall for folding month and hell I'll find a way for the mods to make a special badge just for you.
  20. JUST WANT TO MAKE A CORRECTION THAT SIGNUPS WILL CLOSE AT 23:30 BST NOT 00:00 SO IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY SIGNED UP YOU HAVE 1 HOUR AND 30 MIN LEFT BEFORE IT IS CLOSED FOR GOOD.
  21. I would check your calendar if its listing 31 days in sep. lol
  22. Considering he's another mod I'm wondering if it was more of a hope than a guess. lol
