Murasaki reacted to Skiiwee29 in School security company has a cybersecurity breach.
Is it bad that I have largely become desensitized to breaches? They're going to happen no matter what honestly. My mantra is not IF, but WHEN will breaches happen.

Murasaki reacted to Nelly._. in Can you buy Windows 11 pre-put on a USB?
Okay, so if I get Windows 11 for free now, I can just buy Windows 11 later and enter the activation code?

I've never had a watermark in any version of Windows, only the reduced customization which I think can be overriden with Winaero Tweaker
I don't wait around anyway, always activate it during or after installing.

Plug USB drive in, Get Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's site, launch it, voila.

Oh yeah. I got my first one the other day lol. I didn't really realize I could do that until it happened to me. At some point I'll try to go back and give mark them all. Thanks. I'll try to find it.

Murasaki got a reaction from im_iqbal41 in Notepad keep opening on every startup windows 11
Looks like you have a miner installed on your system. From that command prompt it may point to its installation being broken but im not sure.
https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig
Check task manager if theres any processes from it running and the startup tab if you can locate it and disable it or use a program like Autoruns to manage startup entries.
I would personally try to look on how to remove all traces of it or if needed reinstall Windows just to be sure but thats up to you.

Ofcourse.. that is true. Bean brain moment.

Murasaki reacted to Eigenvektor in Move Reserved partition to allocate space for C:
You can't move the partition your currently running OS is on.
Best bet would be to use e.g. a live-USB image of GParted.
Just be sure to backup important stuff before messing with anything.
Personally I don't think adding another 16 MB is worth the risk. nm, saw there's another 5 GB there...

Murasaki reacted to SImoHayha in system drive filling up with gigabytes randomly
try downloading called space sniffer and see what is eating up your storage.
It's possible something is downloading or making logs perhaps automatically and eating up your storage.
Space sniffer allows you to see what is taking up your storage. and it's small to install even with your 6GB
perhaps you might have system restore on and you forgot to tune it to a smaller percentage like 1%.
