  1. 3 months ago now we were promised a video on gaming on the M1 Macs see here I don't really have anythig else to say just wanted to know if anyone heard anything about that
  2. So i got an Aspire 3 some time ago and it performs like garbage in games and I always thought it was because the hardware was just weak (3500u, Vega 8, 8GB Ram). My brother recently got an Asus VivoBook with the exact same specs except for the storage and his computer runs Valorant at twice the fps of mine. I even freshly installed windows through the media creation tool and performance still sucks. I was wondering if this is fixable or if it's a power delivery thing. Does Acer just suck? Edit: I ran userbenchmark just to compare to other similar systems and this is what I got: EDIT AGAIN: It seems that his system is running dual-channel RAM which would explain the difference.
  3. I've checked and it is in fact signle channel. Didn't think of that. Thanks to everyone who replied
  4. Vega 8 integrated laptop Don't know if it's single channel or not but it's probably single channel since 4gb of RAM are soldered to the board
  5. So i got this completely new Acer Aspire 15 laptop with a Ryzen 3500u and I've been getting around 50-75 fps at 720p in CS:GO which I've come to learn is incredibly bad for this CPU. I get worse performance than even a 2500u with the same ammount of RAM: I've tried everything I can think of from changing the power settings in the control panel to doing a clean install of windows as well as trying drivers from AMD, from Acer and drivers automatically installed by windows and I've never reached 120 fps like I see in many benchmarks. I only have 6gb of RAM available since I dedicated 2gb to the integrated graphics processor and windows, even after the clean install, constantly uses at least 35% of my memory which I don't know how to fix. Thank you in advance for your help and patience.
  6. I will look into that! I think I'm better off with a >650W PSU, because I'm looking into overclocking
  7. I will be changing the CPU for a 6700k then. Thanks for the reply!
  8. I just chose it because of the color. I know that sounds like a stupid reason but the difference isn't that much anyway.
  9. 10. I think I'm gonna go with AMD this time then, it's not a big of a difference (for what I'm gonna be using it for) and it's cheaper, maybe later I'll upgrade to Nvidia. Thank you all for your time!
