  1. Is there much difference between these two, and if so is it worth paying an extra CAD/AUD $34 for the DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)? G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C14Q-32GVR G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C14Q-32GVR Thanks for your help
  2. I'm building a computer around a price point of CAD/AUD $3,200 (US $2400) (not including monitors, and the water cooler), what level of water cooling system should I probably got for? This is a rough plan of the build, ill be slightly modifying some bits on it soon, though only minor things. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wvtJvK
  3. I think I've decided not to get the optical drive bays. Though looking at the Define S, it does have internal drive bays to put hard drives right?
  4. Okay thanks, do you know of any place that sells it cheaper than this? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Crossover-324K-32-UHD-LED-Monitor-3840-x2160-4K-/321930447925?hash=item4af48ccc35:g:FdMAAOSw~OVWx~ZE Using AUD btw.
  5. Monitor: I think I'm going to start of with one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2RY3T99954 then buy a 1080p vertical screen a bit later on. Case: Okay, I think both of you have convinced me to go for the Define S, even though it doesn't have drive bays.
  6. What do you think the best equivalent to the Define S - Window is, that has drive bays?
  7. Oh okay, what's the customisation on the fan control curve like for the Asus?
  8. Well if im going to go for a case without bay drives, is there a good alternative to the sentry 3? https://www.nzxt.com/products/sentry-3
  9. Yep, i need an optical bay. I still need to burn dvds on a regular basis, and I've got some old games that are on disks. Watching the occasional blueray as well.
  10. Case: Wow, i feel like an idiot. I only just realised it doesn't have an optical bay, that's a must for me. Any similar cases with optical bay? Cooler: If my case does have a spare optical bay, would a bay res be good?
  11. Motherboard: I just realised that I probably don't need too many PCI slots. In my first version of it I'll have a wifi-bluetooth card, as well as 1 Graphics Card, and in future all Ill have is an extra Graphics Card, SSD, and future IO Ports. 5 should be enough. RAM: The 64Gb could be useful to do some slightly heavier stuff in my virtual machines in future. Case: Yep, you've sold it to me, ill be going for the Define S - Window. Monitor: Anything wrong with this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2RY3T99954 Cooler: I really want to water cool this. Does that have a bay res? Does the predator come with a reservoir?
  12. CPU: I've watched the LTT video on the 5820k vs 6700k, and I think ill stick with the 5820k. Motherboard: I like the look of the Sabertooth, though does it have enough PCI slots? Though I'll probably go for the X99-A/USB 3.1. Ram Slots: I agree, the concept of future proofing can be a very bad pitfall. Though I want a motherboard where I can upgrade to 64GB of RAM if I need to, without replacing my 4x8. Case: Thanks for the advice, Ill probably go for the Define R5 Blackout Edition Window, though will a case that size fit most large radiators, and MSI or GeForce Graphics Cards? Monitor: Would two Samsung 27" Series 5 Full HD VA Curved Monitor be a sound decision? Or Maybe just one monitor with the LG 34" 2560x1080 IPS LED 21:9 UltraWide Gaming Monitor with FreeSync (34UM67-P). Cooler: I don't know enough about custom watercooling, what kind of things do I need in a custom loop?
  13. Haha, I'm sticking with League. I'm also more of a team green person, i dont think I'd go with the Fury
  14. CPU: The 6700k only has 4 cores? Motherboard: Thanks for that advice on wifi, ill probably buy a pci wifif card. Sabertooth, does it have enough PCIe slots? Z170A, is there a version with more RAM slots for future proofing? SSD/HDD: thanks Case: Why are they the best for almost anything? Monitor: What's the minimum sizer you would recommend for a curved monitor? Cooler: I'm going to go for water cooling of some description, I would prefer it to be a Custom kind of thing instead of AIO. How worthwhile is it to have the graphics card water cooled? What are the advantages of having a bay res? It was only slightly overwhelming, and thanks again. A reply within an hour, impressive.
  15. Hi thanks, Motherboard: Wi-fi, will it work? SSD: Why is it a better choice? HDD: I'm fine for backups, what's the best way to work out what HDD is faster? Case: Why is that better than the Corsair? Monitors: I was thinking about buying two 24" curved monitors, then having a larger 4k monitor in the middle later. Cooler: I'll do some more research, thanks for the heads up
  16. My Lenovo Yoga with an Intel Core i5 4200U @ 1.60GHz and Intel HD Graphics Family card was becoming way too slow for my needs. So, I decided get a new PC, and build it myself. I don't have a set budget and I'll probably spend as much as I need to. What I use a computer for: Web Browsing Programming Multiple Virtual Machines Multiple Adobe CC Programs multi tasked Competitive Gaming on League of Legends and CS:GO Casual Games like Euro Truck Simulator 2, the Sims 4, and Final Fantasy XV Heavier Games like Fallout 4 and Crysis 4 (2017) Parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wvtJvK I may wait for a GTX 1080 though, advice on that as well would be appreciated.
