the mouse has just a basic 555 timer always running off of VCC, and the L/R buttons have had the grounds disconnected from the PCB and then commoned to the common of the AF switch. The AF switch has the normally open connected to the 555,and the normally closed on the PCB ground. Every time the 555 goes high, the buttons are essentially open. When the 555 goes low, the buttons (if presses) bring the connection low. When the AF button is released the momentary ground is then always ground. Keep in mind the +5v output from the 555 can fry some mouse ICs.

I modified my mouse (hardware mod) that does autofire using a 555 timer and a SPDT switch.

Do you know why people are told not to text during a movie? Because your little smartphone makes a lot of light. It's distracting, for me it hurts my eyes, and it's really annoying. Sure, if the phone is on silent it doesn't make any noise, but how difficult is it to not look at your phone for 2 hours? If you can't disconnect from your perpetually narcissistic social media for the duration of a feature film, then please get the fuck out and watch movies at home. Assholes.

My opinion? The CEO of AMC is a joke. Pandering to stereotypes. My 21y/o cousin can't stand people that use their phones in the theaters. Hell, he hates people that talk during a movie. I'm sure if you actually asked a bunch of moviegoers if they enjoyed spending half the movie on their phones, their response would be "why would I use my phone during a movie?"

I think it is really dumb to let them allow that, I find it annoying when people are loudly eating popcorn during a quiet scene in a movie.  I found this tweeted at Adam Savage and I think it is an awesome policy.

^ I totally agree. The last few movies I went to, it was so annoying when someone next to or in front of me would whip out their silent cell phone and turn on their billion candlepower screen lighting up half the theatre. I exaggerate a little. I have a Note5 and I can tell you the number of times I've turned it on from my bedside nightstand and felt like I was watching a nuclear bomb test (even on the lowest manual setting).

This isn't limited to just movie theatres. I've gone to other theatre shows where cameras/cell phone use is not permitted, and still, some jerk is in front of me recording the show on his iphone with full display brightness.

I'm going to develop a cannon that will fire sharp knives and swords at a stack of chromebooks to "remotely hack" them.
