  1. ok, so I'm fully aware that for the video card I have there should be no reason to water cool it, but I really dont know what to do with the extra lcl as my friend gave me both, whenever he "upgrades" to a different lcl he gives me his old one. with that said I have a GTX 1060 FE going to a Acer 1080p 144hz 24" monitor
  2. Im aware, i acquired the 115i for free from a friend so I figured why not install it, im also toying around the idea of modding my video card to affix the h100i to (once I get a more appropriate case) im mostly currious as to if im suposed to be seeing a bigger difference in temps after going from a 240 to a 280 lcl
  3. hello guys, so i kinda makeshift installed a Corsair h115i into my Thermaltake Chaser mk-1 case and i have a few questions about temps. First I replaced my Corsair h100i V2 with the 115i and ran the BMW Blender test before and after. Before it got max temps of 59c and after I got max temp of 55c. now the question I have is to due with how I had to install it into my case, as my case doesn't Technically support 280 rads I have one fan in pull on one half of the rad and another in push on the other side so they are kinda staggered one on top and one on bottom (the length of the rad not one on top of the other). so my question is is this configuration hindering the coolers ability to cool my cpu (ie. would i get better temp in a full push, or full pull configuration)? please note this configuration was the only way the cooler was going to fit in my case (annoyingly as its such a big case you'd think they'd have support for bigger rads without modification). also I though I opened a thread about OCing my cpu it is corrently not OCed, these are stock. any reply is greatly appreciated.
  4. Quick update fresh install of windows fixed the issue
  5. Np thus forum is here for learning and discussion
  6. when it comes to ram, if it says "compatible with [insert platform here]" its 99.9% marketing and 0.1% informing consumers, so long as it is within speed spec and the right type of ram it doesn't matter what platform it says its for
  7. also, we just put his 1080 and ssd in my computer removing my hard disks and the issue did manifest again, it is definitely a software issue, i have gone through the installed softwares on his computer and nothing seems out of the ordinary. so i have recommended him to reinstall windows, as he cloned windows from another drive when he first gt this ssd, so a fresh install may do it some good
  8. 3000, and we did set the dram to the amd equivalent to xmp (D.O.CP), and no change
  9. its a free to play odjective based fps, made with the unreal 4 engine by the team who made brink back in the day
  10. im aware but it seems stuck at this 86-87 fps in every game we try, like in dirty bomb, my 1060 gets over 160 fps and his 1080 gets only 87
  11. no gpu limiter in power settings, im aware ark is terrible, but in my computer i was getting max 138 fps with his 1080, where he only gets 86-87
  12. tested games, include Ark Survival Eveolved, Dirty bomb, Warframe all did not deviate from 87 FPS
  13. no limiters, my computer has an i7 6700k cpu, 16 GB evga ram, sdd. 1080 running fine? EDIT: reread comment realized what you meant
