  1. Okay so a bit of an update because I used both Roccat Tyon and Steelseries Rival 500 Roccat Tyon: -Bit chunky for my hand and the side paddle was a gimmick -Software/drivers literally do not work under Windows 10 properly, the trick is putting the roccat software folder into AV exclusions to even use the software -Side paddle died after 6 months, RMA was pain and I got a refund instead of a replacement. Turns out its a QC issue and that paddle will always fail no matter what Steelseries Rival 500: -Using it right now -3 buttons instead of 4 so whatever -Had to RMA it because the software bricked itself after a few months and not even reflashing it fixed the issue (Did you know you can send that mouse into a bootloader mode?) -Replacement works for over a year now -Software actually works
  2. The issue is availability and QC issues with specific cables, looked at Amazon and all I could find is injection molded connectors Getting a new PSU would be just a less of a hassle
  3. Long story short, I have a big drive array in my server that I'm expanding and each drive needs a SATA power, and I just ran out of SATA connectors when trying to install more drives. Current PSU that I have has 6x SATA and 3x Molex, but there's no way in hell I'm buying one of those housefire deathdaptors unless I can't find a new PSU. Config is 8x 3.5" spinning rust and 2x 2.5" SSDs UK/Ireland Amazon links preferred due of the weird situation here when it comes to shipping stuff here
  4. I went with the Tyon and it broke after 6 months. I got a refund and then got the Rival 500 which ALSO broke after 6 months and had to RMA it, but I still have it since I got a replacement
  5. I was already looking at Logitech G700 previously but it appears its not manufactured anymore as its out of stock everywhere. Swiftpoint Z looks too gimmicky and the layout doesn't seem comfortable, also a bit too pricey where I wouldn't want to risk trying it out. Steelseries Rival 500 one looks the most promising right now, so if nobody else recommends any other diff mouse, I'll probably get that one.
  6. Long story short, I need a new mouse with a very specific layout of 4 top buttons. I have went through several Logitech G300s due of the rubber plastic sides and the scroll wheel just disintegrating after a year or two of use which makes it really nasty to use and its small for my hand. I got the expensive Roccat Tyon but the software is trash and doesn't work almost at all in Windows 10, and it also broke after several months. No, Roccat Leadr is literally just wireless Roccat Tyon. Yes I googled around and people recommend only these two mice, alternatively the Roccat Leadr. Its like only those two mice exist with that layout. I find using the side thumb buttons cumbersome due of a hand injury, so this is more of a accessibility thing than a good mouse thing.
  7. I have an ASUS B85M-G motherboard with a GTX 960 and additional NIC installed. My monitor setup is pretty large so I was forced to use iGPU on the CPU for extra display output. I'm running RAM heavy applications and seeing as iGPU always chews some of my memory and causes my CPU to go higher temps, I was thinking about slamming a Zotac GTX 550Ti I have lying around into it, so that I can stop using iGPU and take off the stress from my CPU outputting to multiple display devices. So here comes a dumb question. Can I use a PCIe x16 to x1 riser to cram in additional GPU into my Desktop without it going thermonuclear? I already know that it will have a somewhat large performance impact when it comes to 3D heavy applications or games because of the PCIe difference, but I'll be using my primary GPU for that.
  8. They promise you lifetime license and turn it off after a few months after paying Happened to me
  9. Ya I run it myself on my devices (Cerberus app is a scam on Android) but she did not install anything like this.
  10. Problem is that it's known that it's nearby but not which room is it I'm not familiar with that so I'll tell her to ask them for help too
  11. Someone jacked my sister's laptop from the university campus when she was in the gym. Security and police were called on site and he stole her keys too. Security knows exactly when the thief left from the gym and where he attempted to open random doors, and was also caught on camera multiple times. This is where it gets pretty stupid. The security started saying that the footage is too blurry to see who the suspect is, they refuse to show my sister the camera footage and police closed the case under 24 hours the same day. Now both police and security refuses to help her. Also the suspect turned on her laptop few hours ago and connected to the university wifi and apparently the laptop is only 2 minutes away. We plan on calling the Slovak embassy since nothing has worked so far. Also here is the chat log with the university in the attachment. It's a Windows 10 Home machine without find my device service disabled and it was recently patched. What should she do next?
  12. So I've been using Symantec VIP Access two factor auth for my paypal cuz that's what they had as the only option for 2fa for a very long time, but now it refuses to take my codes, the newest update to the authenticator doesn't have a sync feature and I'm locked out of my paypal account because of a weird bug from Paypal's side. I can't even contact them via mail because apparently I need to be logged in for that. I'm also unable to call them because that would just rack up a pretty huge phone bill because I live in Slovakia and the only phone number listed is an US one. What should I attempt to do at this point? From what I've seen, trying to contact them via social media is like slamming your head against a wall
  13. I have BlackBerry Q10 and I switched to a new provider today, but in order to use the SIM at all, I need to set MCC & MNC in the APN settings, but I can't see it anywhere in the settings nor no amount of googling gave me an answer. If I can't set the MCC and MNC, I'm unable to use the SIM Any help?
  14. Got a bit of a problem here, thermal throttling under load, unable to find the reason. Tried reapplying thermal paste, cleaned the fans, tried underclocking a bit, disabling cool'n'quiet. Pump is plugged into CHA_FAN2 and the pump is installed correctly. It was making the same noise since I got it but now it's causing MASSIVE temperature issues where my CPU keeps constantly thermal throttling. Specs: CPU AMD FX-8320 CPU COOLER Cooler Master Seidon 120 v2 Motherboard ASUS M5A97 LE 2.0 GPU AMD Sapphire R9 280x Toxic Case Zelman Z11 (two exhaust fans up top, one intake in front, one intake on each side, cpu radiator on the back exhaust) Is it fucked? Should I RMA it?
  15. Thanks, I did exactly this. I posted on twitter saying that Lynda basically scammed me and the next day I already received a reply with them asking for the ticket number so that they can look into it
