  1. My 2016 Ecoboost Mustang was stolen last night... It had my carry pistol(Glock 27) in it..  I was at a friends partaking in some alcoholic beverages and pc gaming. Woke up and go to leave, no Mustang, just glass where it was at.

So I'm using my project car. If I'm not working on PC's or cars, I'm probably working.

My project is a 625hp procharged 09 Sierra. Yeah, I'm a PC and car nerd.. It's been both for me for a while. I spend too much money on PC and car stuff. Although the truck is procharged, it was bought new by my grandpa. When he died, I got the truck and house. I procharged it because it was something he wanted to do but his health took that away from him.

Most days the truck is just used for truck crap.

  2. Did he just have his PC plugged into a wall?

I've just used a UPS(uninterruptable power supply) and haven't had issues. Prior to buying a UPS, it was just a decent quality surge protector. Not those 10 dollar ones either, higher quality surge protectors have protected my electronics.

  3. Of those 4 CPU's listed, 3 are more for work than gaming.

Pick up a Non K( meaning you can't overclock it) LGA 1151 cpu. Like a 6500.

If your not overclocking, and just using it for gaming. Stay away from LGA 2011 and LGA 2011-3 socket cpu's. They're expensive for a reason. Save the money and stick to a consumer grade CPU.

The building I am in now is owned by a private business for people classed as vulnerable adults (supported accommodation). When I moved in it had new carpets, a new paint job and according to my circuit breaker it was last checked in 2015. Also, I think this building was built in the early 2000s.

I would be really surprised if there was mould in the walls >.<

Just takes a little water, some heat and time.  Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

I'm sure before selling products to consumers they're heavily tested, overvolted, overheated and everything else to make sure they're as non toxic as they can be. That's the Underwriter's Lab job, that UL logo in the circle. They abuse things to breaking point and try it again. To make sure it's ok to be sold.

I have silver fillings and I don't get a metallic taste but then again i've had them for years so that could be a factor.

I got 2 done while in the military, and those are the 2 that I've had the worst issues with. One completely fell out, the other got loose but it was fixed. The ones I've had since I was little, no issues with whatsoever. Just the 2 from the military dentist. Figures.

  6. Do you have any fillings?

The metallic taste could be from one of those. Especially the silver kind. The kind the blends in with a tooth's color wouldn't be it. I get a metallic taste from time to time due to a filling. My tooth hates the filling I guess. Keep seeing the dentist to make sure it's fine.

  7. Ive got 2 X34s. They're basically a widescreen 1440p monitor.

Theyres alot of drawbacks to a widescreen display. Some games dont support it, others can deal with it.

I think Barnecles Nerdgasm aka Jerry covered some of the biggest issues with them.

The one thing that took some getting used to was with flatscreen monitors, you can line em up. Not with curved ones. I wish the side bezel was thinner.

I like them but they werent cheap. Id say its probably better to stick to a typical flat monitor and be able to actually use the full real estate in a game.

I can barely and its only on some things tell the difference.

I think My next monitor upgrade is going back to flat screens. Ones a refurb and the other was new.

I think the hype is basically theyre curved and some are quite large for a monitor. Like Jerry I got a dinner table as a desk. I needed a new one and they take up alot of room a desk cant provide.

Id say a desk is like 30 inches wide. Where a dinner table is like 48 or 50. Ive been using a work around for some games. Jerry has it linked in the video i was talking about above.

If i could do it over and not lose alot of money in the process id go back to flat monitors. Id go back to a 27 or so inch maybe 144hz 1440p monitor. I have the power for 4k, but i think 1440p is a good sweet spot for gaming.

Watch that video from Jerry aka Barnacles. Itll give you some ideas.

    Hes real informative about it.

Ill see if i can find it.

  8.  Im at 5ghz on my 6700k with an h100 in pushpull. There's 8 total fans in my case. Along with sli 1080s.

The rad fans are now SP120 quiet editions, 3 front af140 qe, and a rear af140 qe.

Its silent even under load. No noise, all my fans are using that under volting thing included in the box.

I stay under 52 while gaming, about 30 while idling. Gpu temps are in the mid 60s.

My gpus are the Asus Strix 1080s. Its possible, just gotta get a good fan curve, use a fan controller and find what works for you.

My rooms ambient temp is 67F. I cant tell its running unless the case lights are on.

Yeah, im not the type to go crazy for silence as I usually have some music thumping away in the background that covers up my pc noise anyway. But the fans without that fan controller were loud enough to hear over my music so it was really bad.

I do too, but theres alot of times where im doing work and talking with clients and music isnt great.

Plus up until now, ive had pc noise from something or other. I wanted quiet and finally got it.

Plus its nice on the times Im sick and drag it into the bedroom and hook it up to my tv.

Ive been debating on just making a new HTPC and putting it in my bedroom. Probably use my girlfriends current pc when I give her the new one for her bday. Its my old pc anyway.

  10. Yea

Probably, they weren't advertised as 'silent'. I can remember my room sounding like there was a tornado going on inside for a while till I got myself a fan controller.

I wanted complete silence. I still use a fan controller.

Now beside the case lighting, cant tell if my pc is on.

8 fans in my case and no noise even under a gaming load. I finally got a pc thats perfect.

  11. 3 AF140's in the front and 1 AF140 in the rear. 2 of the AF140's really blow air into the upper part and 1 blows it on the basement part. I've got a CM Mastercase Pro 5 case.

4 SP120's in push pull. That's all my case's airflow. My rads up top..  Didn't care for it up top..

My PSU is in the enclosed basement, upside down using it's own air.

  12. Sounds like what my Razer Mamba TE does..

Just stops working for a few seconds, then it goes back to working.. I've already made sure my USB ports aren't set to sleep.

When I try a different mouse, it works fine.. I think I'm going to see if I can RMA this mouse and then just try the new one. If the new one has the same issues, ill buy a different mouse.

I only bought the Mamba TE because microcenter had it on sale and my MX518 died after 6 years of use.

  13. That's one of those old school "medical" devices that today would be considered torture.

You hook red to your left nipple, and yellow to your right. Black well thats the ground.  Keep turning that middle knob til you *Russian accent* HARD LIKE BULL.

    lol jk.
