  1. Yep, that was the main point of it, space on my desk lol! Well I am going to try this out to see if I like it! Thanks!
  2. I looked at the reviews for this when you linked it and it seems to be what I've been searching for. I honestly thought it would have been more expensive. Are there any differences from expensive ones to this?
  3. Thank you for the reply ! unfortunately I don't see this available in amazon in the US
  4. I have this monitor for quite sometime now but I've recently moved and my new desk is smaller. I want to purchase a monitor arm within the 100 USD price range that can hold up m monitor firmly and have little wobble as well if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  5. I have a Dell Inspirion 15 ( 3000 series ) but it isn't detecting my first HDD crashed so I replaced it with another of the same model and exact type and the one before but when I tried installing Windows 10, there were no drives to choose to install it in. I immediately rebooted and went into the BIOS to see if it was detected there and it wasn't. I took the new drive I bought and plugged it into my desktop PC and it was infant working properly so I reseated it into the laptop and still no detected. My suspicions are the SATA port is damaged or for some reason the BIOS is not detecting it at all. PS : You cannot install the newer BIOS on this unless it's through dells software via Booting into a Windows Operating system I believe. I tried already. So I then bough an external USB to SATA connector and the drive did show up but due to my lack of knowledge I wasn't aware that you cannot install Windows 10 this way. It gave an error saying that it cannot be installed. The exact error message was " Setup does not support USB or IEEE 1394 Port " So I then tried to install Linux mint 18.2 sonya ( beta ) into it to just see if that would work and it did perfectly.Everything was up and running but the only problem with this was the laptop is not mine and the user of it uses Windows 10 and software that is exclusive to windows only, I just did this to test it. So my only other option would be to replace the CD drive bay with a HDD caddy but I'm not sure if you'd be able to install a Windows onto the drive even if you used a caddy but I know that it's a SATA port and it should be able to right? Because the error message above said it's not supported in USB or IEEE but this is SATA port so would anyone know if this method would work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058AH2US/ref=crt_ewc_title_gw_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3Q4G302TLNJTB Also since this HDD problem occurred another strange error message also came into play. If anyone knows how to fix or had these problems before. Let me know, maybe we can figure it out together. I also contacted DELL directly. They were useless. I saved the conversation between them and I so if anyone is interested in seeing that. Let me know as well.
  6. @Ctown0812 Yeah most people would do that but I would prefer the consistency of screens to be honest because I have a 1080p 60Hz AOC IPS 22.9 " monitor and a 720p ( maybe lower ) 60 Hz 14" elo TN monitor that you usually find in grocery stores lol. I just wanted to upgrade to something I won't have to change for 5 years or more.I play games ever so often and when I do it's probably like The Witcher 3 or DayZ. Probably Dota2 or CS GO if my friends are playing but it's not as often. I most do research, program and learn alot,I also multi task so the screen real-estate is appreciated that's why I prefer for 2 monitors of the same type.
  7. @Ctown0812 Yes that monitor seems to have everything I'm looking for. I will look at some reviews on it to see how thick the bezel is.Also tell me what you think of this.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1QOAAU/ref=dp_cerb_1?th=1 I'm just listing the main parts you'll need to know. The system I play games on contains : intel i7 5820k @ 4.4 Ghz 16 gb ddr4 corsair dominator platinum 4x4 at 3000 Mhz Evga gtx 970 superclocked in SLI @ 1450 Mhz Windows 10 pro 64 bit The system I current do programing and experimenting on : AMD fx 8350 @4 Ghz 16 GB kingston hyperX fury RAM at 1600 Mhz Evga GTX 760 Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya beta
  8. I'm looking for a 4k or 1440p monitor but I would need some recommendations. I need 2 of them for around 400 to 500 each but no ultra-wide monitors would do because I currently use two systems: a Linux based for experimenting, programing for school and learning and a windows 10 based system where I play my games on etc.I use the program called synergy to use one mouse and keyboard to move between systems with my screens side to side. I do not care about high refresh rates and would prefer a nice looking monitor instead. So more than likely a 4k or 1440p 60 Hz IPS display around 27 inches although from research at 27 inches it was recommended that 1440p would be better as there won't be much scaling issues.I was looking at the Dell Ultra-sharps but is there any other options for me? I would pay maximum of USD 1000 to USD 1100 for both monitors.
