Nvidia GTX 1650 available RIGHT NOW; $149 (updated with reviews)

Those games used more Async and/or compute, which is why they favored AMD.

It's the best card that can go into a Dell Optiplex prebuilt without extra PCIe power cables. That's kind of the only thing going on with this product. There's only going to be a few games it runs better than a RX 570.

Tesla Unveils FSD Computer and More at Autonomy Day

It maybe, sort of looks like a Mali GPU. (Tesla might have also just used some of the same IP vendors as AMD, so a bunch looks the same because it is actually the same. Jim Keller might have something to do with that choice.)

If you aren't scared by some technical talk, this really is a good watch to understand what is going on with this technology. It's going to be common, so even jumping to the Software presentation is worth doing.

Thanks. Not quite there. (Not that the nodes are any different.)

It also makes sense from a design/staff perspective. The Neural Network Accelerator is where they'd need to put all of their R&D. AMD will sell them pretty much everything else about a SoC and save them several years of development, plus Keller probably wanted to work on it and could lead them through the integration and testing phase. One it was design locked, that's probably when Jim went to Intel.

No official confirmation yet, but all of the specs point at GCN and the layout looks very similar.

Looking at the details closer, Tesla more or less licensed AMD's Skybridge as the backbone for this design. Skybridge was to be a hybrid ARM/x86 design. This is an ARM/GCN hybrid design. I joke about Lisa Su's model being "Semi-custom all the things!", but that's really what it looks like. Plus, we know this was a Jim Keller design as well, so it looks like he got to do that ARM project after all.

Tesla bought "Industry Standard GPU & CPU IP". Now that has me really curious. Other thing is that they clearly put this design in the hands of safety engineers. Dual, independent SoCs, redundant power supplies and the ability to operate with multiple camera losses.

GloFo production or Samsung? And I guess that's what Jim Keller made them. Seems quite interesting.
  11. Understandable. You can't help someone that actively makes it impossible to interact with them. If you want a further technical explanation for what I'm talking about, hit up a PM.
  12. They made it extremely difficult to commit people for few reasons years ago, but it did so much damage. From that description, it's the gut issues. Life-long intestinal inflammation means life-long malnutrition. Badly formed neurological and organ structures which cause outlier reactions. PTSD is a chunk of the upper brain stem being overloaded and causing signaling damage, limiting the ability to handle stress. If she never saw another carb again in her life, she'd be better off. If you could convince her that Keto Diets are the Holy Grail or something, she'd likely be a lot better off.
  13. Since Trans went "trendy", the BPD connection is recent. (Borderline Personality Disorder, for those that don't know the term. Generally best known for being physically incapable of reading emotions on faces and bouts of a massive lack of self control.) First layer is to suspect those cases are simply the BPD mother looking for attention and breaking their children with it, though if you come from genetics that busted up, strange things can crop up. We'll have a better idea in the future, but BPD ruins a lot of people, the people with it and those around them. As for the suicide part, the problem is we talk about Suicide as an "event". It isn't. It's a process. The process breaks down your self-preservation instinct. The most fascinating part is that the Idea of Suicide is the pain point that normally does it. It relates to the interaction of hormones, the gut and the nervous system. If one of those is badly damaged, broken or ineffective, it causes the spiral rapidly. We're pretty far down the road that "mental disorders" aren't "mental" at all. They're physical ailments of various kinds that poison & distort the thought process of the Mind. There's some computer analogies that sort of work for it. That's why when the shouting on this stuff gets going, it's always a tad sad. Most with mental issues need a structured diet more than they do anti-psychotics.
  14. Because their hormonal regulation systems are shot. That's the actual "disorder". The other issue, at least in children, is BPD Mothers. We're not sure, yet, whether the BPD mothers is cause or effect, though, as it might be the genetic problems that cause BPD damage the regulatory systems or the BPD mothers force their children into complete emotional confusion. Most major psychological issues can be "forced" on a person, which is one of the reasons for a lot of the ethics approaches in psychology. Most especially after the "Repressed Memory" disaster. (Convincing children they were sexual abused when they were is a horrible, horrible thing.)

    HDD Shipments Down 18% YoY

SSD Price/Gb dropped nearly in half during 2018. You can get good quality (with DRAM) 500 Gb SSDs for under 50USD (on sale). This trend should continue. Hard Metal was great, but we're on to new things.

  21. Considering it'll be the spec designed around, more than likely. Above 1080p? No way. Though I do want to note that full Ultra settings normally include huge performance hits for no actual gains. (This has been true for decades.) 1080p/High the 2060 should last a good 3-4 years, though I'd be more worried about the processing power compared to the VRAM in that case. 8Gb would be nicer, but no one really should be buying the 2070, unless the discounts have started.
  22. @axe are you going to need WiFi?
  23. System will play everything at 1080p for years. GPU will need an upgrade in about 3 years, if you get into other games. Also gives you 1 TB of NVMe storage, so you have plenty of space. Good PSU. One sec, it's still showing Mail In Rebates, which you won't be worrying about.
