Talks of Disney to buy Game Giant Nexon

How much did Microsoft pay for Minecraft? East Asian Mobile Games are massive revenue generators.
  2. Considering it'll be the spec designed around, more than likely. Above 1080p? No way. Though I do want to note that full Ultra settings normally include huge performance hits for no actual gains. (This has been true for decades.) 1080p/High the 2060 should last a good 3-4 years, though I'd be more worried about the processing power compared to the VRAM in that case. 8Gb would be nicer, but no one really should be buying the 2070, unless the discounts have started.
  3. @axe are you going to need WiFi?
  4. System will play everything at 1080p for years. GPU will need an upgrade in about 3 years, if you get into other games. Also gives you 1 TB of NVMe storage, so you have plenty of space. Good PSU. One sec, it's still showing Mail In Rebates, which you won't be worrying about.

Probably want to add an extra case fan, though.
  6. Do you want it all shipped via Amazon? That's important for suggestions, as there is price differences between sellers.
  7. There's "set an option in BIOS and hit Save" levels of Overclocking, then there's things like Liquid Nitrogen. With the right choices, it's just a few BIOS settings you can find a youtube video to tell you what to set.
  8. That's actually a good monitor at a solid price. So that's a good option.
  9. Do you need it all to be at Amazon? Here's a first pass. Will work on Monitor in a minute. 10. Post looked a lot like bots that run around, so I wanted to check. Welcome to the LTT Forums, let's see what we can do. What's your actual budget?
  11. @axe First question, are you a person or a bot?

    Corsair CX6650M or TX550M?

You'll be lucky to push 300w under the heaviest of loads. Get the TX.
  13. Hitman 2 doesn't like AMD CPUs too well and Metro prefers Nvidia GPUs. That should give you a rough idea of the tiers. A 2060 should hold you throughout this generation of games at 1080p.

One screen being curved in a dual screen setup - recommended?

@steffeeh Not really. You'll notice the curve for about 30 minutes then forget it's there. You'll end up wanting to angle the setup a little so it's smooth moving between them, however.
  15. The 6 years with 2 renewable points to Apple wanting to take its time anyway. 5G isn't really settled tech yet, so there's actually more logic in keeping it off the SoC for now. Modems aren't the easiest chips to design, but they're nothing compared to a full SoC. What takes time is regulatory approval. Without Apple having anything in the pipeline already, it'll probably be 3 years before it'd be approved. They'll put them in everything that isn't the iPhone until they're ready to add it there.

UKs Porn Pass law has just passed, will go into affect in July

Anyone know if Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Imgur or any of the other major sites will get hit? Because that's when things get really funny. Though, can't you just move your DNS to a non-UK-based one and just get around the entire problem? Otherwise the ISP would need to verify every website on the Internet, and I doubt that's going to happen.

UKs Porn Pass law has just passed, will go into affect in July

Or, that's the point? People need to remember that George Orwell (Eric Blair) was British and wrote 1984 as a warning for what they were going to do. At this point, does anything think he was honestly wrong about the thoughts of the Elites in the UK? The anti-sex league isn't too far off, haha.

Sony Now Internally Regulates Sexual Content in Video Games

That's not surprising. American Progressivism spawned out of the New England-area Protestant Churches. So the people pushing this stuff are ideologically Puritans by nature. They just replaced God for "the good of all" and changed around some of the expected social policies. These would be the same people that managed to ban Alcohol in the USA for a while, and I can't wait for the anti-masturbation campaigns again. (Not joking on the last one. Look it up. It was "Save the Rain Forests" movement of the 1910s.) The problem we have is that there is no limit to how annoying they'll get. The failure of Progressivism is always that it needs something to "Progress to". This causes Purity Spirals and One-Upping for reasons of vanity. (See the current "I'm more of a victim than you are!" aspects to chunks of modern, Western cultures to see what it looks like.) Sony Japan will eventually need to crack some heads when it gets out of hand. That being said, there's always local social norms & conventions that games will need to be adapted to. After the Hot Coffee fiasco, it's always important to understand that 18+ Games, unless they're explicitly Adult VN games, are going to be purchased by parents for teenagers. Thus you either have to market it as a hard "not for children" or you need to take certain precautions. But, seriously, just give the weebs their anime titties. No one but them cares.

Sony Now Internally Regulates Sexual Content in Video Games

Yup, though what they really mean is "cause a consumer firestorm that riles up the Western Internet". That's really what they mean by "global standards", as classical anthropology will tell you that's very few consistent social mores across even most modern cultures.
  20. Leading Brands need Leading Tech. And if they don't have it by 2020, then 2021's model (which is about 18 months away from now) will have an entire cycle of "Apple finally has 5G" and "Apple was holding back 5G adoption" and so on.
  21. While patents matter, Intel can't yield the 10nm parts well enough at volume for Apple. That's what drove Apple's move, beyond Qualcomm's strangehold on a lot of IP.

    First Budget Ryzen build

What monitor do you have? What games do you play? Only real suggestion is to switch that SSD to a much better one. WD Blue, Team Group L5 Lite 3D, Crucial MX500, Samsung 860 Evo. Or something NVMe like the Intel 660p (which has been on sale) or the HP EX920. TSMC unveils 6nm process

    It's 7EUV+
  24. It's only some of the B350s and A320s that might get into issues. But what they could do is offer split BIOS options. And/or drop Bristol Ridge.

Dr Su will present Zen 2 and Navi at Computex 2019 (May 27th)

If the top SKU is 40CUs like we've seen a few rumors of, it's not going to be faster than a Radeon VII. It'll be uncomfortably close for the Radeon VII price (but you could buy a Navi and resell that Radeon VII, as that thing is going to have a long, long-tail secondary market). However, it's unlikely that the first run of Navi will be faster. There might be a game or two via something like Variable Rate Shaders or whatever they do with the geometry pathway that might end up being a hair faster on the top SKU, but that's an optimization issue. Once we have the CU count, we can reasonably project where it's going to land. The top will probably be 2070-class for a chunk less, and a much, much smaller die. Be interesting if they have 10 or 12 Gb models for that level.
