  1. At least it's nice to know others are having car related problems (Although his is a dashcam and not really a car) and not just me. I don't have a dashcam issue, or hell, even a truck that runs, really. I just ended up moving back an old Ford F150 from 1985 that was passed down by legality, and before I knew it, kablam, cutting off, flooding, and everything else just seems to want to go wrong wherever fuel's concerned. I know it isn't tech related and not a dashcam issue but I figured I'd relate to the man above me because holy $#!T I'm getting tired of getting it trying to run.
  2. Hey Slick,

Big fan of you and the group, but what about all of those boxes you folks always have lying around? You know, the really sturdy ones? I'd like some of them and if it is possible I'd like to purchase some to be shipped internationally, since I have a lot of tech products that can't be placed just anywhere and am at a lack of boxes.

If it is possible, please contact me personally to work out details and pricing.

  3. So just so others know, LTT's rival AwesomeSauce is hosting a giveaway. I figured some of you folks are like me and can use a rig that ISN'T a freaking Intel Pentium. Trust me. I've used them since i entered computers.
  4. I've just been messing around today, throwing up new case designs that'll probably never get accepted. Figured someone'd get a laugh out of them.
  5. A new laptop has been acquired. We've now got...

    >Same processor.

    >1600x900 instead of 1366x768

    >1600~ish MHz clocked RAM instead of 1366~ MHz RAM.

    >Larger keyboard with Numpad.

Acer had better not fail me. I've got slightly smaller storage, but it's at a constant 7200RPM with NCQ, AMP, and S.M.A.R.T.

  6. This makes me want to do a pickaxe lobotomy on myself.
  7. I hate those people who act like they need to have their needs fulfilled and are so perfect they need no correction. Wish I could haunt their ass with my foot.
  8. As Uncle Jobel would say... Brony joke!
  9. Give it time. These mods are much like the 4chan /mlp/ mods. They don't do the job because they need sleep, but wait for them to wake up and IT'S THE FREAKIN' APOCALYPSE! But honestly, I'm not truly offended by it. People who are should, honestly, just let others have their fun or hide the post. But then again, site rules. They get tricky.
  10. Trust me, I saw my nephew get born. This doesn't phaze me. But I still can't watch anyone put on a sweater.
  11. Well, non techies... I can say this. Almost EVERYONE in my school has no idea how a phone or a laptop works. I disassemble one, and they're all like "What's that?!" "What does THAT do?!" "Holy crap dude did you break that?!" "No, I'm fixing it. This connects to this, etc. Gotta do this," and when I finish after getting their parts they refuse to pay. So no lights on for me if I was on my own. Not to mention they don't understand the cost of parts for certain phones. Just google Samsung Galaxy S III Replacement LCD and you'll see EXACTLY what I mean. They not only don't understand the cost it takes to repair, but also what a part needs to work. It's almost mind numbing unless it's that one girl across from you who just wants the phone fixed and asks no questions. But needless to say, each of my peers has only the knowledge to use some of Windows. I handed one a phone and said "If you think you know how to do it go ahead and do it." It came back in half an hour when he broke the logic board. It was a dead iPhone 4. Nothing of value was lost.
  12. Linus, If you see this, I want to know how much you guys want for all of those sturdy boxes like the laptop boxes and Razer boxes. Because dear god I need some clutter.
  13. To be honest, a mouse. I hate the common Onn mouse. BlackWeb has a little... More quality, mind the little. And a mouse like that, comfy to the touch? Ohhh man, that'd be the dream. Consider me in for that mouse.
  14. Want my suggestion? It's not gonna be easy, but you'll have to live with it. If you wanna do this, do it right, Exceptions remain for some GPU blocks, since you'll (As stated above) Have to dedicated them to each 'machine' that'll be running on the system. But it's more or less up to your funds, your ability to dedicate storage, and etc. I personally recommend a 240 GB SSD for the both of you to ensure that you will all have enough space for whatever games you do want to run on a completely local machine. That also means hosting. And that means a lot of network protocols, if I'm correct. Since a computer connecting to itself could -probably- cause a crash. An you may also want to dedicate at least 8 gigabytes of RAM to each of your machines to ensure that you'll have enough power to run whatever. GPU recommendations remain on you, but if you really want to, get the same as you have now so you two won't have any differences in quality. I hope this advice helps you a bit.
