  1. if you have a list and have patience, why not just wait for a good deal on the parts. That being said though prices go up and down so buyers remorse is bound to happen. thats just how it is unfortunately, just remember to check where you bought the product from and see if they have a price match policy like amazon if the price drops within 7 days theys will refund the difference.
  2. 600w for a gtx960 is more than enough, idk what brand is a "standard" though i would ask them who makes the psu
  3. nah, its a legit chrome extension for amazon, i set my asking price and it alerts me when amazon drops the price to what i want. found some great deals with it
  4. checked my email this morning and saw an eye-opening deal, lol. If only this email was valid, by the time i checked the site the lowest price was $573.
  5. hopefully what u are looking is on the site, i didnt see anything on xda, unfortunately custom roms are usually made for the more popular brands like samsung and motorola my lastest phone is a zte and even i couldnt find any stable custom roms or even a safe root and the phone has been out for 2 years already
  6. how about this one then, close to his price range and on some tier 2 lists http://www.ncixus.com/products/index.php?sku=97531&vpn=110-B2-0750-VR&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1413&affiliate_id=18097&click_id=1594681774
  7. i thought it was a 450 bad eyes
  8. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr have this going on 3 years with no problem, maybe more actually, was running a i5-2500 with 2x2gb ram gtx 960, now its in a i5-2500 with a gts 450
  9. upgrade the 970 to a r9 390 and get a good psu evga g2 or any tier 1 or 2 edit: psu tier list bit old but still relevant, would go for at least a 600w or higher minumum IMO http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
  10. no, doing that risks bricking your phone, most roms have a custom kernel also built into it, almost all roms are made from the stock, with exception of miui and a few custom roms but based off the stock image. what root program did u use? did you try reading through this site? i prefer xda developers but i have used this site for a few phones http://www.modaco.com/forums/forum/796-vodafone-smart-ultra-6/
  11. i'm waiting on videos where they show gameplay on pc's with lesser specs, i was hoping ltt would do one, so much videos out there just showing them take the test which all of us can do, i will probably just buy one and upgrade if i need to, some people have said if the graphics is not up to par it could cause motion sickness, idk to me that would be a good thing. if it don't work then i can wait a week or so for the parts to upgrade but i don't want to upgrade if i dont have to. either way i think june or july is when the next batch will ship so i have time to decide.
  12. https://www.originpc.com/ http://www.ibuypower.com/ premium prices, but good units this could be an option also http://slickdeals.net/f/8567682-hp-envy-750se-desktop-i7-6700-2tb-hdd-16gb-ddr4-4gb-nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-825-39-ar?src=catpagev2 or https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_85_0?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=n%3A172282%2Cn%3A541966%2Cn%3A13896617011%2Cn%3A565098%2Ck%3Agaming+pc%2Cp_85%3A2470955011&keywords=gaming+pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1460359983&rnid=2470954011 amazon might be a good choice for the return policy if you have prime
  13. decent build but idk about the power suppy, this is just one review but worth at least giving it a read http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014/03/18/raidmax_cobra_power_500w_supply_review/9#.VwtEJTArJhE
  14. yea, especially if your pc is not going to be near the router and that would free up a pci slot for other things
  15. if its only a year old then its probably ok, you could alternatively go with the 6600k and u will have parts that you could put into an another build or sell on ebay as a bundle or separately to recover some of the cost or maybe even go with a 6700k
  16. the bios is like the operating system of the motherboard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS this is where you can change boot options, set passwords, overclock, etc built in wifi is good but sometimes makes the board expensive, almost all boards come with ethernet/lan ports but wireless/wifi is usually an addon but you could always buy a pci card instead, here is an example of a board with wifi http://smile.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Durable-GA-H97N-WIFI-Motherboard-LGA-1150/dp/B00KC7ZY2U?ie=UTF8&keywords=motherboard%20wifi&qid=1460355028&ref_=sr_1_1&s=pc&sr=1-1 same board without http://smile.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-Ultra-Durable-Desktop-Motherboard/dp/B00OFP88C8?ie=UTF8&keywords=motherboard%20h97n&qid=1460355134&ref_=sr_1_2&s=pc&sr=1-2
  17. if my wife was willng to pay i would go for the 4790k and maybe upgrade that psu.
  18. if your going with an htpc build, why not just go with an a10 processor? if not you can always check this site for card heights and lengths http://graphics-cards.specout.com/
  19. hope it does, any other questions i'll try my best to help
  20. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Desktops-and-all-in-ones/Lenovo-H-Series-desktops/Lenovo-H50-00-Desktop?linkTrack=GPS:Body_Browse%20Products|Sub-Series%20Selected&tabName=downloads&beta=false pending on the model you have, you can start here or navigate from this site to your specific model most likely the board is an asus and you went to a vanilla version of the os you were running, if you have another pc download the correct network driver for your model, install it, then once you are connected to the net, download all the drivers for your system that you need and the gpu driver from the nvidia website. in case you dont have an available pc to download try and download it to your phone and connect it to your pc and transfer it over. hopefully that will help
  21. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134045 Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model KVR667D2N5/1G its 512mb vs 1gb in the link http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/ASUS/m2n-sli-deluxe
  22. nvm i guess that fan connects direct to the psu, i doubt its your gpu, unless you are overclocking it, do you you have msi afterburner to check the temps or any kind of app to monitor temps?
  23. those were the v series laptops, almost every one was a fire waiting to happen, the e series dont have as much as a problem, though they still havent figured out a better way to ventilate their systems.
  24. i would think this could be a viable venture, not everyone can afford to buy a vr system, myself included i wouldn't mind laying down some cash to try it out, some gamestops have actually started demoing the headsets but are limiting the time you can use it. there are a lot places that survive on just guys who play league or dota, but i think its mainly because it is like a lan party and can have a night out with your friends. i was thinking about buying one and doing like a mobile vr rental business or even renting out a big storage locker which is cost effective and has a lot of space to run something like the vive which allows you more of an spacial type of game play. good luck on your business if you decide to go that route, better to get on it while its hot and expensive , once the prices drop on headsets and gpus the market for this type of venture might get weak.
