  1. http://phys.org/news/2013-04-memory-effect-lithium-ion-batteries.html not sure if this helps but, most laptops especially the mid-high end one have overcharge protection, i wouldnt be concerned if its a oem but aftermarket ones are hit and miss. what is stupid is most batteries have a recharge life of 500times which means less than 2 year life
  2. i would think you need another motherboard , it wouldn't hurt to call or email msi and let them know the chips below the amd northbridge started smoking, hopefully its still under warranty if not better check your psu. were you overclocking before changing power supplies? did you clear the bios also before switching it? it might not matter but always good to start fresh if changing any components.
  3. the corsair carbide series are good, i've built a few with those and they run about 50-70, side window, decent cable management, there are a few videos for the spec 01 or 02. the thermaltake is good if you plan to watercool or pimp out your pc, but for a midrange or budget build the corsair is a decent option
  4. np, i think these are still for sale also http://www.pcworld.com/article/247639/pantech_element_hands_on_with_an_lte_waterproof_tablet.html
  5. get a cheap phone with a waterproof case, i have this case for an i phone 4s which i take to the beach for music while i surf http://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-Aluminum-Shockproof-Gorilla-Metal-Hard-Cover-Case-For-iPhone-Samsung/322012407293?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35694%26meid%3D50f3add8f03442378410934d587e632b%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D111848413260 they make it for all kind of phones , generic brand but it has worked for me. you can also try lifeproof cases they run about 20-50usd and get a used phone to go in it, not too many waterproof android devices except if you buy from someplace like aliexpress, ebay has some but idk about quality, i bought a waterproof china phone and it was so slow it was practically unusable

  8. why would they put in white fans with no window? though after rebate its a good price, that company makes some visually appealling cases, too bad newegg are scumbags and dont ship to hawaii(sorry small rant) , i bought a case from amazon with 5 fans and only ended up using 3 of them cause i didnt see and change in temps with all of them running, this is what i bought, bit noobish but good for the resale and has a hotswap slot http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FH6KE76

  11. Update: just got a call from corsair and they said i can keep the keyboard, OMG!!!!, all i have to do it take a few pics of the keyboard and email it to them, and they have already refunded my money, amazing. just can't tell the kids because they might take it , haha.
  12. titanium backup is one of the best programs it lets you freeze the bloatware without removing it, which is better just in case your phone becomes unstable from removing the wrong thing, hope all this helps.
  13. yeah , the benefits of being rooted , you can remove or just hide the bloatware, anyway here are some roms if you want to be adventurous, but if you are good with the speed increases from being rooted, no need to go this far. but take a look at the vids to see what a custom rom is about
  14. once you run the program it will download all the necessary files to get it working, its a free and has no virus, you can check the forums about the program, almost all new user use his program to start i would recommend installing TWRP custom recovery, its one of the easiest to use i am looking for some roms you can try
  15. that is the starting point, from this point you can install a custom recovery and install your first custom rom get this program next to install the custom recovery double check your model number in settings to know what button to press once you run the program this is the program i have used for many of my phones, the creator made this for most samsung and nexus phones, i personally did my galaxy s 4g, s2,s3, galaxy nexus, s5 http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=1197
  16. that means your phone is rooted, in other words its jailbroken like an iphone
  17. i've heard of it, but i personally havent used it , i will give you some links, give me a few minutes
  18. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4 this is for the gsm s4 , they also have for the sprint, it's fairly easy to do, register for the forum to avoid most of the annoying ads and read though the different topics. there is a program that will root your phone and even install a rom for you. this is an example for the i-9500 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop/rom-5-0-2-samsung-s4-i9500-tyagi-rom-v1-t3286094 it may seem a bit overwhelming at first but i have changed roms so many times i can't even remember the amount, its as easy as downloading the rom to your phone, rebooting into recovery, clicking 3 buttons and voila a new system. anymore questions, just ask me or even better ask in the xda forums because they are usually helpful and have the same phone as you.
  19. well, i did the morally right thing and called them and no deal on keeping the keyboard or even getting a discount, the csr even wanted me to drive out to the ups store to drop it off, so ups is going to come out and get it, the one good to come out of this is that i wanted to cancel the order in the first place since it was only a 550w psu, so i was hoping he would offer a free upgrade to a 750 for the trouble but no deal, so i cancelled the order and will buy an evga from amazon. i guess i did the morally right thing but honestly shipping to hawaii is expensive he would have been better off letting me keep the keyboard and asking if i would place another other for a psu. thanks for the replies, better to be honest even though its a beautiful keyboard. maybe i should take it out and try it for a day, haha, JK
  20. hi everyone, i have a moral question. i recently ordered a refurbished 550w power supply from corsair and received the package today and instead of the power supply i got this i want to just keep the keyboard, the psu was only $53, lol. but i know the right thing to do is to return it. which i will, this would be the first actual mechanical keyboard that i would have, i have bought for other people but never myself, anyway just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this.
  21. sorry for the reply, what phone do you have?
  22. have you tried putting custom roms on your phone to remove the bloatware? i have always taken my android phone and put a custom rom, 90% of the time it was faster, improved battery life , etc. i have had windows phone and it was just too irritating to try and find apps, no one really supported it, maybe with the new supposedly bigger and better hp win 10 phone that might change that i think the one drawback of windows phone are that most of them are nokias, there are some htc, if fact 2 months ago the microsoft store had a nokia phone for $20 and i still couldn't pull the trigger on it. the worst win phone i had was the htc radar, 8gb ram, no micro sd slot, slow, 1/2 day battery life, no apps, impossible to upgrade without removing most of my songs on the phone. the nokia 950 is about $700 the only phone really worth mentioning since it has a decent camera other than that the other phones are pretty bad i would rather have a chinese knockoff than a windows phone at this point, i own a zte zmax which was $99 and its working great, i miss the ability to put custom roms on it(not a popular phone so no one wants to create one) , if i wanted to run windows on my phone i will just get a remote desktop and control my home pc.
