  1. Razer Blade 14, i would even take a used one , both laptops blow away my desktop, and crushes my current laptop that crashes just running a pokemon go bot, wth??(btw, i dont cheat , im just running the bot because niantic banned my account for taking over 15 gyms in one night after i drove for 6 damn hours with my kids, some fool reported me and im using the bots to kill all the gyms that he takes over, lol.)
  2. Your only option would have probably been to return the ram to Amazon and order from corsair, have you tried calling them? i recently purchased a PSU from them and they sent out a k70 keyboard after they setup the whole return/exchange process i told them to just cancel the PSU and refund my money, about 20 minutes later they called back and said keep the keyboard and they refunded my money(which was told to me by members in this forum stating this is what they usually do), all they asked was i take pictures of the keyboard from all sides and it was mine to keep. from my understanding they do this a lot, much more than other vendors out there, if you buy it directly from them they make all the profit, when they sell through amazon some of that price goes to amazon and cuts into their profit margin, its partially greed. but most of the time its just how business works these days. thats why its always good to check prices on various sites before purchase. unfortunately pcpartpicker cant cover all sites but it would be good if it did
  3. most 4.0 dongles come with A2DP i use one to connect with all my headsets http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=a9_asi_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aa2dp+dongle&keywords=a2dp+dongle&ie=UTF8&qid=1462308121 i bought this cheap dongle on sale for $3USD and i works for all my wireless headsets(bludio tubine, aukey, skullcandy) as well as controllers, it doesn't say it supports A2DP but that profile has been around for ages so i doubt any manufacturer wouldn't have that in the dongle http://www.dx.com/p/ultra-mini-bluetooth-csr-4-0-usb-dongle-adapter-white-149425#.VykOAvmDFBc and it was plug and play with windows 10 thankfully , because it didnt say it was even compatible with 10, but for $3 i just decided to buy it.
  4. have you tried looking at AC filters? pretty much the same material, and is usually available at your local wal-mart or hardware store
  5. punch cards, , seriously, then in college they were still teaching about vacuum tubes and other BS, when we finally got into programming, just BASIC, mind you, the professor didn't know WTF he was talking about and we got into an argument and i ended up throwing the textbook at him and got kicked out of college, haha.
  6. you can start here as the prices run from $30-$150 http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=4k+tv+box&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A4k+tv+box this is one that i have but bought via aliexpress for $60, the 2gb vs 1g makes a difference as well as the 16gb vs 8gb but i also have the lower end $30 version that works ok for what it is. http://www.amazon.com/Arrival-Epteam-Android-5-1lollipop-Rk3368/dp/B0152X3IRG and i also bought one of these just for kicks, it's ok but windows is limited and the screen was unresponsive after upgrade to win 10(forced) took a long time of searching to get it back to stock, http://www.amazon.com/Desktop-Windows-Android-Updated-Version/dp/B00ZXBDZMQ/
  7. have you tried using a live cd and booting from that to run the antivirus or hirens boot cd to run an AV program?
  8. you could save $100 since there is no point to water cool your cpu with a non-k, almost $400 for a 970 is a bit too much for that price you could get a pre-build like this http://slickdeals.net/f/8685819-hp-envy-750se-desktop-i7-6700-2tb-hdd-16gb-ddr4-6gb-gtx-980-ti-win-10-1135-free-shipping?src=sticky r9 390's are going for less than $300 on sale with 8gb vram so i would go for that instead
  9. gotcha, too bad you dont live out here in hawaii i got some older pc parts i keep telling myself to sell but im too lazy to test them. try watching this site for deals http://slickdeals.net/deals/computers/ and get this chrome extension, you can set the prices you are looking for and it will email you if it gets to that price or lower on amazon since you are going to piece meal the pc, might help save a few dollars. http://camelcamelcamel.com/
  10. the 7559 is a great laptop, my son bought one and it has almost the same specs as my msi gt72 but has way more battery life and works great for his college schedule, check some deals here http://slickdeals.net/deals/laptop/
  11. you could get a refurb from newegg like this and save the trouble of building and maybe use the balance to throw in a ssd http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883282436 check walmart locally if you have one, they were clearing out most of the acer systems for less than $300
  12. idk about future proofing but the core is a good start, just make sure there is a good psu to go with it
  13. did you clear the nickname in your google? https://aboutme.google.com/
  14. im not sure on the newer phones but there is a program the will actually reset the counter so you can send it in for warranty, it's on skipsoft.net, when i first starting flashing phones it was one of my main tools for rooting, flashing roms, installing twrp etc. he used to always be on xda developers. you could try and research into his all in one software, i stopped buying samsung cause i just couldnt afford it anymore so idk if the triangle away function works on the newer phones
  15. i wouldn't mind getting the omni either, but it will be ridiculous to ship here. I have so much crap in my house i will probably be sitting down and playing because i have heard people say hanging the cord from the ceiling is not an option, idk why but until mine arrives i wont know for sure. all i need is for some of my fool friends tripping over the cord and wrecking my headset and pc, im sure there will be some instances like with what happened with the wii and its controller. as for now the rift will have to be my choice
  16. cpu+mb+ram should get you a min of $250 i think, considering this cpu will typically sell for about $200 upwards to $260, you could probably get more. on ebay it usually comes down to who is looking for the part at the time the gpu maybe $60-$80 system as a whole is hard to say, i think it would not be more than what you were to sell for the parts especially since pc prices have come down. i doubt you could get much for the psu but who knows, selling on ebay would probably not be worth the shipping costs.
  17. i have seen a lot of mods like this before on youtube because i have 3 xbox360 that all rrod'd, i started on one but it ended up being too much of a pain to do. you could try it but to put that cpu/mb combo with a cx series is super sketchy, i was planning to do it with a APU/mini-itx build and actually got it almost done the part i didnt like was the cable management and how it looked with the power suppy outside i even tried a mini psu or a 1u that my friend had and it didn't work out. If you feel like trying it out then go for it, though idk about trying to do a gaming pc in that small case, the x360 was famous for the rrod for a reason. if you decide on an htpc that might be a better choice.
  18. could be your video driver, your r9 is better than my gtx 960, amd has put out some glitchy drivers lately, if you are getting good fps on your games i wouldn't put too much merit into the test, it should report the card as a r9 290 rather than as a r9 200, also if you do a search on the forum someone had a 390x and failed i am planning to buy one anyway even though my specs don't meet the "minimum" requirement and if i have to upgrade i will do it at that time. i dont care what the test says. What i dont agree with is that from what i have been reading some games will actually scan your card to see if you meet the specs and actually won't let you run then which to me is full BS and way to sell more hardware. My opinion
  19. i have bought a few things from b&h, so they are legit, have you checked jet.com. you get 15% off if its your first order, and they had a msi980ti for $585 before the discount(which is maxed at $30 unfortunately) and the evga one is $659 before the discount. unfortunately they dont ship to hawaii which i found out when i was going to buy a r9 390x for $305, but maybe they might ship to where you are and as far as i know they are legit with a lot of reviews, good and bad on google
  20. why not just run bluestacks or any other android emulator, or just buy an android tv box for about $50-$80, or like the other poster said remix OS as far as the gpu i doubt you need much some of these boxes can dual boot windows and they are running low end specs http://www.pipo-store.com/pipo-x9.html
  21. i have 2 low end machines one is an a8-6500 with a gtx750ti, and a i5-2500 with a gts 450 eventually i want to piece together a emulation/vr gaming rig, doubt i'll ever get there but never hurts to dream(and beg , lol) ,my current system is not any better but its a piece meal used parts system so for the price im satisfied with it. but whoever wins this will be pretty stoked.
  22. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=596194 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=11072981#GUID-5672CA9A-98DA-48AF-A7A0-AE69554161F3__SECTION_4D0BFEB6276A4141A0E54A33C73BBC9F i dont think there is free shipping to there
  23. actually, i guess your shock is from the fact it scored so low, since it said your gpu needed to be upgraded, and your card actually meets the minumum requirements for vr. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/oculus-rift/12634/ previously my other system was a i5-2500, gtx 960, 4x2gb , so in terms of specs is much lower but i had no drop frames and was at the upper part of capable, there was something in you system that must have been running in the background e.g antivirus, etc. check your task manager and make sure nothing is in the background when you do the test. hard to believe a r9 290 would score that low, there must be something going on in the background
  24. i personally don't like rebates, since some companies claim they never got it, but i usually go online and do online processing first then mail in the requirements after. this would be the online site for the rebate https://thermaltakeusa.4myrebate.com/Claim/OfferDetailsNewGrid/?Offercd=TRM-15560 i just wish newegg would do follow ups especially since these are newegg specific deals, but my friend said they just say the buyer has to contact the vendor when there were problems with his rebates.
  25. 430W EVGA 80+ Certified Active PFC Power Supply for $9.99 AR + S&H(or free with newegg premier) might be a good buy for those running htpc's or low power pcs. some other deals on psu's,i am not recommending these but some of these might be good for anyone building a system on the cheap(standard disclaimer for those who will say cx series psu's are rubbish) 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supplies: 750 Watt Corsair CX750 80 Plus Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply (CP-9020015-NA) [newegg.com] Apply Code: EMCETFG49 at checkout.
