SlowMixit got a reaction from A1200 in Corsair 280X Watercooled Build
    System specs
    Corsair Crystal Series 280X
    AMD Ryzen 3600XT *
    Asus Strix B550-I
    G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 4000 CL17 **
    nVidia Quadro K2200 ***

    Barrow 14mm Hardtube fittings
    Corsair 14mm PMMA tubes
    4 x Arctic P12 fans
2 x 240mm EK Coolstream Classic SE rads
    EK XRES 140 D5 pump+reservoir
    Various extra fittings and adapters
    Notes
    * upgrade soon as 5800X is released
    ** run at 3800 CL14
*** upgrade soon as RTX 3080 arrives

First to testing the components, running the system in some random temporarily case untill it is ready to be transfered to new build.
This 3600XT is able to run at 1.25v 4425Mhz CCX0 and 4000Mhz CCX1, also this cpu is able to run FCLK at 1900 stable making running memory at 3800Mhz CL14-16-16-32 1.5v 1T possible, ram timings are not yet perfectly optimized but this is good enough for me. Temperatures for CPU is below 70'c with AMD Wraith Prism cooler running stress tests.
It is also stable with these settings running 24hours of Prime95, 50000% Karhu RAM Test, 8hours Asus Realbench and several games without any issues or errors.

    Now to the build.
Very first thing i did is move that top fan to front and drill 4 holes to mount pump+res to the case, found screws from my box of thousand things, i did not find any screws with bigger head so these are just maybe 0.5mm larger than the drilled hole, i wanted to have some wiggle room to move the pump+res few millimeters around. Some of you might already see second modification i did for the case to improve airflow exiting from the case as this case is known to have top glass panel too close to top of case that reduces airflow outside of the case.

Next im going to do the tubing runs or at least most of them. I did one of the tubes going from bottom rad to input of pump+res, i'm not shure if im happy with it.

I will continue updating this thread untill the build is finished, i need buy maybe 4 x 90 degree fittings for what ever waterblock i will eventually get for RTX 3080 once shop i purchased one from will send it, i know there is limited stock so it could very well be 1 to 2 months before i get RTX 3080 for this build. I might even go for RTX 3070 if i dont get 3080 before 3070 is released.
I'm not quite shure if i will add extra RGB to this build or if i will just stick with Barrow AM4 block's build in RGB and RAM RGB. What i could do is add Phanteks Halos RGB frames for fans.
I also need get better camera, this phone just wont do it. Maybe some cheap DSLR like Canon EOS 500D.

@GMart84 You have very loose timings for 3800, are those Samsung B-Die? If they are you would be better going 3733 CL16, there is post in Asus ROG forums about this for Z370/Z390 mainboards.

We will see, i have no problem buying another board if they suck in benchmarks and max oc.
I need do research, check overclocking reviews etc.. to see what i should buy.

Edit : Update, managed to get it Cinebench stable for one run at 5.45Ghz, had to try like 5 times and 4 times of those the machine just shut down because VRM could not keap up.
I'm shure now CPU is capable 5.5Ghz with better mainboard for Cinebench stability.
If i just had GMart84's mainboard

So close, but so far.. i want that 1800 points.
    This is 24/7 Stable aka 8hours Prime95 1344, 24hours blend and Linx 0.8 12hours.
I can probably get another 50Mhz out of it under 1.5v 24/7 stable but needs tweaking, 5.45Ghz is no go even at 1.5-1.52v.
I need better mainboard to go further, i belive chip it self is capable over 5.4Ghz under 1.5v.

    Specs :
    - i7 8086K @ 5.35Ghz 1.44v
    - Asus Strix Z370-F
    - 2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance 3733 CL16 (Samsung B-die)
    - Intel Integrated because... brand new RTX2080 Ti broke after few hours
    - EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W
    - Custom loop watercooling (3x180mm Rad, D5 pump, EK-Supremacy Block)

Unless mods are employees of LTT they by GDPR should not have access to any data regarding user except their public content (username, posts) that everyone can see.

GDPR makes it clear that is not allowed, that alone makes LTT not GDPR compliant.

Even older Gen used cards are mined.
I know because i buy them all to mine with them untill next gen cards come.

@fear92 All next gen gpus are allready sold before they are announced, we miners contact directly the manufacturers and suppliers to get them first, we get them months before stores like newegg. After Volta 80 or 70 cards are released you wont see them in shops for several months, only after we miners have got enough of them you will see them in shops and then comes the miners who dont go to suppliers and manufacturers.
I have got allready big reservation on one of the manufacturers for next gen cards.

Once next gen cards come then maybe you can see miners sell their old cards, i know i will sell some of them away.

Best way for you to buy the cards is directly from manufacturers right now, example more expensive versions of EVGA GTX 1070 Ti's or GTX1080 like FTW2 or Ultra Silent cards, miners dont want the expensive versions at least i dont, i want the cheap cards that give faster ROI.

My piece of donkeypoop secondary system, primary is too good to put into here.
Once i get new PSU im able to push 4.8, current psu causes just too much instability at anything above 4.5Ghz, dropping down to 11.3v@12v-line with 4.8Ghz@1.475v

Nope, not idiot. Having something to use that hardware for its full potential doesnt make me idiot.
Would you encode 4k 60fps RAW videos that are roughly 4 TB each with 4core 8thread 4790k or dual xeon e5 machine with raided ssd's (skylake-e when its released)?

Yes its going to be work machine but for once im going to make it best possible for everything, being able to encode those videos while gaming would be perfect.

I feel you. There is a difference between gamers and PC enthusiasts. Gamers just wanna game and are competitive and wanna have fun. Enthusiasts like hardware more and building PCs as these two categories do collide but you can tell one from the other. As for me I like gaming to relax but I would rather tinker with my PC all day OCing cable managing painting, upgrading. It just feels better to hold $1000 then spend it on something virtual. I also love to see my work after a long time so I usually build PCs for friends as pre builts are mostly for hard core gamers. As for you my friend this is normal every one has it, just don't go spending your life earnings on it.

You might need UEFI Windows 8.1 USB installer, thats what i had to do to get it work in my Asus X99-E WS work machine.

Who needs 1Gb of ram when 512Mb is more than enough? Remember when people said that? Guess where we are now?
In few years we are going to be asking "Who needs 512Gb of ram when 128Gb is more than enough?"

Technology advances, software evolves to use capabilities of FUTURE technology, in 10 years 128Gb might be "tiny fly poop" of ram used on low end machines, if not 10 years then sometime future its going to happen.

Im at least my self waiting for DDR4 and later DDR5 to come out, soon as 128Gb is possible with affordable price im going to buy it.

Out of my 2 machines, my i7 3770k clocks higer stable than 4930k.
Im too impatient to run over 6hour run or even over 30mins.

My 3770k is one nice batch, L249B668 but im afraid my AsRock Z77E-ITX mainboard is on the limits here since i can do 5.2Ghz @ 1.35v @ Asus MVE Watercooled, with this AsRock board going to 5.2Ghz causes instant bsod no matter how high i push voltages.
