  1. What AMD Catalyst driver version you have, but since you have non-beta drivers i still think its the faulty gpu or psu.
  2. Powersupply or graphics card faulty id say, most likely graphics card, these are the issues that start come when graphics card starts to die and if its new graphics card its rma time. Could be mainboard also, but thats less likely. Also make shure power is distributed trough multiple rails to gpu, that evga cant run R9 290x from single 20amp rail.
  3. How about removing your GPU and trying to power up without it? I had faulty gpu from factory that made it do this. And make shure you have power button wire connected to right position. If that doesnt work start removing your devices 1 by 1 like harddrives, ssd's, disk drives etc..
  4. Do the fans spin at all? Since fans have been replaced due original ones malfunctioned it could also be that mainboards fan controller it self is malfunctioning if fans arent spinning at normal speeds. @Generallee I have tested this toothpaste myth my self and figured out toothpaste lost with about 10 degrees of celcius higer temps compared to MX-4.
  5. You might need UEFI Windows 8.1 USB installer, thats what i had to do to get it work in my Asus X99-E WS work machine. Used this guide : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2351476/windows-booting-problem-ssd-asus-x99.html#14470759 Check the Paul NZ's reply, its for Windows 7 but same goes for Windows 8.1
  6. Did it, and soon as i disconnected t500rs and rhino x55 wierd thing happened. Mouse started moving really choppy and couldnt click on anything along with not able to write anything, had to push restart button. After reboot its no longer blinking the lights when i start games that use the controller etc.. Could say culprit is eather X55 Rhino, T500RS or mainboard.
  7. Nope, direct to mainboard trough backpanel. Only thing that remotely could be considered as hub is Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth's USB passtrough for Rhino X55's throttle.
  8. When i have got PS3 or Xbox 360 controller attached to my pc sometimes all usb devices get disconnected, with keyboard, mouse and rhino x55 lights blinking like they would get constantly usb disconnects and reconnects. This only happens when PS3 or Xbox360 controller is installed to pc. I have got latest drivers, windows updates and game updates, also have tried powered usb hub and reinstallation of windows, nothing so far seems to help. Machine : i7 4790k, Asus Z97I-Plus, 16Gb DDR3-2133, GTX970, Corsair AX860i psu, Windows 7 64bit (only due FSX problems with 8.1) Cpu is overclocked to 4.6Ghz 1.2v, i have tried without overclocks and issue wont go away so its not the overclock, also i have ran 24hour Prime95, Aida, LinX and Memtest stability test runs without errors. Anyone have any idea what could cause the issue?
  9. I went to i7 4790k just because i can. Not because it was better than 4690k for my use.
  10. Added my latest PC's quick overclock. Still need tweak it bit, 5Ghz 1.45v is going down in Cinebench, SoonTM. 4.9Ghz is allready done but its so pointless mid-way overclock betwean 4.8Ghz and 5Ghz so im not going to even try Cinebench.
  11. Resetting router nor clearing DHCP table is not working. Still requires Mac address change of NIC to work, i dont get how changing mac address manually can magically solve the problem allways, i will try with different router and see if it works, if it works then good if not then i still need find solution, will report here later. EDIT : It was my Cable/Fiber box, added one 10Gb router between my pc and Cable box (all that i had here was extra 10GbE PCI-E card and router for it laying around) Now off to fix sound on Yosemite DP3.
  12. Land of crap internet connections - Finland - Home Land of good internet connections - Germany - Server I could get 1G/1G connection to home but its 300€/month so... no thanks, my 300/10 is enough for home.
  13. In one of my PC's there is Marvel Yukon 88E8053 NIC and i have had litle problems with it, not getting IP from router. Only way to fix it so far have been to change NIC's MAC address, but im trying to find fix without MAC address change. Anyone have idea why it does not get IP from router with original MAC address but after i change MAC address to something else it will work? The only reason im still running Windows 8.1 on that machine instead of Mac OS X Mavericks is because Mavericks doesnt accept MAC address change on this NIC.
  14. Who needs 1Gb of ram when 512Mb is more than enough? Remember when people said that? Guess where we are now? In few years we are going to be asking "Who needs 512Gb of ram when 128Gb is more than enough?" Technology advances, software evolves to use capabilities of FUTURE technology, in 10 years 128Gb might be "tiny fly poop" of ram used on low end machines, if not 10 years then sometime future its going to happen. Im at least my self waiting for DDR4 and later DDR5 to come out, soon as 128Gb is possible with affordable price im going to buy it.
  15. Out of my 2 machines, my i7 3770k clocks higer stable than 4930k. Im too impatient to run over 6hour run or even over 30mins. My 3770k is one nice batch, L249B668 but im afraid my AsRock Z77E-ITX mainboard is on the limits here since i can do 5.2Ghz @ 1.35v @ Asus MVE Watercooled, with this AsRock board going to 5.2Ghz causes instant bsod no matter how high i push voltages.
  16. Linus crashed the DRN STN website Anyway, if it had less plastic i might try it out, i mean.. full aluminium body etc..
  17. 2 x 480mm rad in bottom and one 480mm at top, so overall 3 x 480mm rads will fit easy. Case is easy to build into but sidepanel is attacked with 10 screws so its sometimes pain to get sidepanel on, i think there is also version of the case with quick detatch sidepanels, when case is loaded with hardware it will weight alot and it is huge. If you want easy to detach sidepanels you should get Caselabs case, they usually can fit 3 x 480mm rads if you pickup case like Caselabs STH10. Phase Change is cooler that uses pretty much same way cooling processors as refirigerators use to cool food or air-conditioners use to cool room temperature. . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_cooling (go to "Phase-change Cooling" part of the page and read)
  18. I got at the moment Little Devil's PC-V10 with phase change integrated into it. Its not really PC-V8 but its big brother, also mine is older version also that didnt have ssd mounts and some cable management holes behind motherboard tray and bottom compartment. Without phase change my case can fit : TOP 480mm Rad Bottom Dual 480mm or 600mm rad, if rad is 600 then psu would position just top of the radiator with 1cm of spacing. Bottom can fit also 560mm rad but will require buying turned psu plate since 560mm rad wont fit below psu, then second rad can be max 420mm. Quality of cases is good and they are strong, they are made of thick aluminium, there is some improvements in newer models like screwless sidepanel, more ssd mounts and better cable management holes. I do also have CaseLabs Magnum STH10 but i cannot say witch is better, i like bowth of them. If you want ask anything about the case just post here and ill answer.
