  1. I would take 9700K, more real cores and higer clocks stock, if overclocking is done you will need good mainboard like Z390 Aorus Elite/Pro from Gigabyte that has good VRM, check Buildzoids video on Z390 mainboards. Bowth cpu's will do perfectly fine in this task. Ryzen 3000 series should be coming May/June, if rumors are true. I dont think i would be personally upgrading to Ryzen 3000 series since i have 8086k 5.35Ghz 1.4v.
  2. Wait untill Ryzen 3000 series. Annoucement most likely will come in CES and release most likely around May/June For your budget Ryzen 3 3300 will be beast, 6c/12t and clocking to 4.5-5Ghz for 99-129$, if rumors are true.
  3. I would say this too, needs better VRM cooling. Needs monoblock.
  4. Maybe language barrier (not native english speaker) but lets say this way. Allowing someone else than server or person who is using the IP address to view it is illegal according to GDPR. So in LTT's case, allowing forum moderators or admins to view users ip is according to GDPR illegal. Also by EU law, IP address is defined as personally identifiable information so consent is required. I have read GDPR and EU Privacy laws, all these laws have also officially translated version for each EU country (i have read the finnish one).
  5. They can handle the information, they cannot store without consent. Cookies : Store session id, login time, no IP and or no other personally identifiable information needed. Its simple enough.
  6. Unless mods are employees of LTT they by GDPR should not have access to any data regarding user except their public content (username, posts) that everyone can see. GDPR makes it clear that is not allowed, that alone makes LTT not GDPR compliant.
  7. LTT is not GDPR compliant because user must have ablity to disable ANY tracking. IP address is now personally identifiable information and if user so chooses user must have ability to disable IP tracking because it is personally identifiable information. Login tracking can be made by other means like cookies.
  8. This is what my "Lite" version of "GTX 1080 Ti" aka GTX 1070 Ti can do aircooled, this card has got some damn fantastic air cooler on it. https://gyazo.com/d9bda3cefbe1e19122eb45084fabe37a Its not even near Power Limit or Temp Limit, card just refuces to go beyond 2126Mhz and by "refuces" i mean it wont go beyond no matter what i put into "Clock Offset", time to try K Boost mode soon.
  9. I'm rocking one ITX Ryzen build on Enthoo Evolv ITX TG, its quite nice of a case in around same size as FD Nano S (or maybe tiny bit bigger). I have been also eyeing Lian Li PC-O5X but its costing alot, it would be nice looking build tough if i watercooled it. Running ROG STRIX X470-I and R7 2700 on it alongside of GTX 1070 Ti. CPU + Mainboard : R5 1600 is really good enough but if you are switching to ITX i would sell it along with motherboard and buy R5 2600 and Strix X470-I, or you could just sell current mainboard and just buy X470 ITX mainboard as it will be copatible with R5 1600 and would give you room to upgrade if you wanted faster cpu later. Cooler : Depending on what case you go with you might be able to still have this cooler even tough i would switch to AIO liquid cooler if you go ITX. Evolv ITX TG would have room enough for Mugen 5 tough if you deside to go with it. Case : I would recommend based on my own experience Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX TG, plenty of room inside even for tallest CPU coolers or 240mm AIO, its maybe tiny bit bigger than Nano S (wider). Power : Your current PSU would fit into Evolv ITX TG so no changing psu would be needed. Biggest question tough.. what is the use case for the pc? Gaming? Work use? Just browsing internet?
  10. I have never really cared, Windows 10 installs chipset drivers automatically from Windows Update anyway.
  11. PCB looks like GTX 1050 Ti PCB, and pins look correct (matching to what is in EVGA site product info). So it just have wrong PCI-E pin cover, nothing else.
  12. Even older Gen used cards are mined. I know because i buy them all to mine with them untill next gen cards come. @fear92 All next gen gpus are allready sold before they are announced, we miners contact directly the manufacturers and suppliers to get them first, we get them months before stores like newegg. After Volta 80 or 70 cards are released you wont see them in shops for several months, only after we miners have got enough of them you will see them in shops and then comes the miners who dont go to suppliers and manufacturers. I have got allready big reservation on one of the manufacturers for next gen cards. Once next gen cards come then maybe you can see miners sell their old cards, i know i will sell some of them away. Best way for you to buy the cards is directly from manufacturers right now, example more expensive versions of EVGA GTX 1070 Ti's or GTX1080 like FTW2 or Ultra Silent cards, miners dont want the expensive versions at least i dont, i want the cheap cards that give faster ROI.
  13. @Archon42 Send it to manufacturer, they will accept it to rma.
  14. I wouldnt call it luck, maybe extremely bad luck if you dont get card that goes 2100+ without mods. Every single GTX1060, GTX1080 and GTX1080 Ti i have ever owned easelly go 2100Mhz+, only cards that have not done 2100+ were GTX1070's. Without mods higest of my pascal gpu's were GTX1060 6Gb 2188Mhz with max core voltage, max power limit, +1000 memory, +205 core. GTX1080 and GTX1080 Ti's were around 2110-2164 but all of them went 2100+. With mods and watercooling Asus GTX1060 Dual OC 6G went 2296Mhz on core (vcore mod 1.2v + powerlimit mod), this card is true golden sample.
  15. If nothing else works, then its time to bake it. Will give you probably 1-3months extra time on the gpu before re-bake or replace.
  16. Having trouble with LGA2066 CPU taking allmost 700w alone, i know im asking for blood.. its only 750W psu. Ordered Corsair RM850X and Corsair AX1500i today, will be delivered this week.
  17. My piece of donkeypoop secondary system, primary is too good to put into here. Once i get new PSU im able to push 4.8, current psu causes just too much instability at anything above 4.5Ghz, dropping down to 11.3v@12v-line with 4.8Ghz@1.475v
  18. Did some updates to my old secondary warhorse. Updated i7 920 to Xeon X5670, old 920 was only capable of 4.2Ghz @ 1.35v, but Xeon X5670 was doing that at 1.3v. I'm shure i'm able to push it to 4.8 24/7 stable soon as i get new PSU. Machine : - Xeon X5670 4.5Ghz@1.4v, could go 4.8Ghz 1.475v but psu is holding it back. - Asus P6X58D-E - 12Gb DDR3 1600 CL9 - GTX780 - Corsair VS650 psu. Watercooled with D5 pump, EK block and 3x180mm rad. I belive the PSU is holding the overclock back, 12v line is lowering down to 11.7volts when cpu is 100% load. I allready ordered Corsair RM850X psu, its going trough postal system and coming later this week.
  19. Probably windows automated driver updates enabled, you need disable automatic driver updates for it not to overwrite the drivers it thinks are latest. If your version can use Group Policy Editor then open gpedit.msc and go to "Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update" and toggle on "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates". 15.201.1101.0 drivers might need removing from your windows install, ie. removing it from Driver Store. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875(v=ws.11).aspx
  20. Sorry if im blunt but.. That looks like other way around, same performance, more expensive. Last time i checked $2744 is less than $2782. Now it does have more ram, and depending on what kind of editing he does, he might not need that extra 16gb ram. You must also consider what kind of look he wants for the pc and by looking at hes parts list he wants Red / Black interior look for the pc. The OP's parts list looks ok.
  21. Long as you can find cheap X58 mainboard then X5650, X5670 or X5690 overclocked is best, ofc you can find dual lga1366 mainboards for about same as X58 mainboard. @Jarsky That mainboard looks good, but i would choose Dual X5670 or X5690 with it, bit more expensive but much more performance. 6cores 12threads at 3.33Ghz or 3.73Ghz Turbo. How ever theyre bit more expensive than that 100$ budget of op.
  22. Can you measure PSU's 12volt line with multimeter while gaming? Molex connector = Black + Yellow wires, make shure you put multimeter to DC mode. To me this looks like psu issue, but could be something else, but i would start troubleshoot it from PSU side
  23. bigger case, better graphics cards, rgb ram, m.2 ssd's, maybe its what he wants
  24. That would be better way of doing it, saves some money and you will have everything else ready when you upgrade to better things in future example Coffee Lake X 10+ core monsters if you are into the core count.
