Funny you say that. It runs GTA V san andreas, hearthstone, Minecraft, Fortnite, PUBG, and many other desktop games very well

koolerone reacted to CTR640 in Am I the only one who hates the way RTX looks?
I like the FE looks too but temperatures are my priority number one first so never ever gonna buy one. AIB always.
But due to the color schemen, the Titan V is the most best looking card ever:

koolerone reacted to Jtalk4456 in What should schools teach?
I'm not talking about required curriculum here, rather I want to hear what kind of classes people would have liked to see as an elective in grade school.
Something I would like to see more of in schools is not so much an "economics" class, but a finances class that goes over different types of bank accounts, savings, retirements, investing, etc. Not an in depth dive but just something to give a better idea of money and value before they get to college and screw it all up. I also like seeing schools with trade skills classes like carpentry and masonry. My school had this and I took masonry, but I know a lot of schools that don't have this.
Also in this day and age, I'd like to see high schoolers, even middle schoolers have more than just a basic computer/typing class. I'd like to see programming classes, hardware repair classes, and for those ambitious schools, I'd love to see a motherboard and electronics repair class doing soldering and stuff like louis rossman does. They could even have the students in that class repairing school equipment and being able to put that on a kids resume. Also, as a bit of a tangent, I'd like to see it REQUIRED in high school english to devote a day or two to resume writing!

koolerone reacted to RedRound2 in Apple slows down last year's iPhones with IOS 12.1 | iPhone 8 and X customers beware
How come these kind of blatant twist in information even allowed?
One, we've already been through this so many times with numerous topics on the forum
Two, the feature only kicks in when the battery has been degraded to certain point and unexpectedly shut down once
And three, it can be turned off
Stop trying to make it a new issue. Even I was confused for a second when I saw the topic
And people say Apple fans are the worst

koolerone reacted to Razor Blade in Louis Rossmann just had 20 Apple batteries seized by US Customs
I'm surprised this isn't a more common thing. I work with a lot of product that has to go through customs and can say that there have been countless times that customs decides to hold something for whatever reason. It is ordered directly from the manufacturer so it isn't ever an issue but in Louis's case, it sounds like he's ordering directly from vendors of Apple or vendors that maybe resell used parts.
Ultimately it isn't the parts...it is the stupid logo that got his shipment seized. Customs has no way of knowing if it is legit. Maybe the only thing they do is contact the manufacturer and ask if it is counterfeit. Of course Apple is going to say it is...

you literally never know what you're getting sometimes. I've bought batteries that claimed to be unbranded but turned out to have branding slathered all over them.
Worse, sometimes you buy what you think are legit parts only to find out that they're not. He ends up with counterfeits all the time and has regularly talked about how he spots them.

I mean the US stillhasmany states where Civil Asset Forfeiture is a thing. If you get arrested an officer can take whatever you have on you in some instances.
Just another example of outdated laws and mismanagement of government institutions.

koolerone reacted to Master Disaster in Apple rumored to be working on its own non-mobile ARM processor and ditching Intel around 2020
Apart from the fact that it would require rewriting all software to work on ARM. Not just Apple software, all third party applications and infact any software that exists at all.
It would cause havoc for customers.

Psh, with enough Netflix and a 360 that actually plays games I'm set for as long as needed. Though I'm pissed I won't get to watch my fails videos before bed.

So [H] released their 1070 review early because they did not signed the NDA and some are not happy about it. Who cares, you'll still read or watch the other reviewers anyway, for performance comparisons sake.

Everyone kept telling me that 10-series Nvidia cards were outdated and I should upgrade my 1080Ti to a 20-series card.
So I got me ...
Can't wait to put this beast in my rig! Hopefully my 5930K doesn't bottleneck it.

Funny anecdote, the seller actually lives 3 street down from me, I messaged him this morning and he was available in the afternoon, I finish work at 1PM, so we agreed to meet at the subway station nearest to his house ... After some back and forth we realized we live on the same street, just a few blocks from each other!! XD
So coming back from work I stopped by his house, then drove the remaining 30 seconds back home!!
