I like the keyboard (keychron?) and the mix mash of keycaps.  Are the alpha keys metal?  I think I see some red samurai keycaps and of course the Artisan keycaps.  The waffles are excellent! I've a KFC Chicken Bucket keycap myself which is a favorite of mine.

I would die for their next video to be an updated review of the RC firetruck, with Luke filming at the original NCIX building in that back storage room.

benny_r_t_2 reacted to AlTech in Google proposes turning browsers into DRM software for the web | Ending AD Blocking for all browsers
    Summary

Unsatisfied to allow 3rd party browser makers besides Google to override Manifest V3's neutering of ADs, Google has initiated a new proposal to end AD Blocking forever.

Their proposal is called "Web Environment Integrity" and essentially means websites will be able to query web browsers to ask if they have had their Environment Integrity Verified, meaning that a Browser needs to verify that the User is using a device that is approved by the Attester in order to access the website.

Attesters will be OS or Browser based and will give Websites a verification value based on factors about the device and the web browser being used

For Android, running a rooted device will provide a value indicating it is not verified.

Browsers that don't implement this may simply not function with websites relying on a Verification value.

There has been no guidance on who will be Attesters

It is expected that attestation services provided by Google may consider any amount of AD blocking worthy of triggering a low verification value essentially meaning the environment won't be trusted by the website.

Put simply if a website requires this they can force you to disable AD blocking in order to view the website and if you don't then you won't be able to use the website.

This could also extent to using phones after they stop getting security updates, using unpopular or unofficial browsers, using devices with custom OSes or firmware.

The browser becomes the DRM engine.

    My thoughts
Alright, well its been a fun ride while it lasted. Time to be sent to the Google reeducation camp and be metaphorically beaten with a cattle prod until you accept that Google will own you and you will own nothing and you will be under Google's control and Google will be happy.

Forget about slippery slope, this is jumping off the side of a cliff and only if you support Google will you get a parachute that opens. Otherwise your chute won't.

If you continue to use Chrome despite all of these monstrous and truly heinous and cruel things google has plans for: then you deserve the future of the internet Google has in store for you.

They have millions of followers on Youtube, most of them expect to get some videos.

And if not videos, at least some explanation of what is going on.

I am afraid that LMG is really stretching patience of their followers now.

Here’s some info regarding security at LTX:
The expo will have security for the expo and during LAN-only hours. The LAN area is limited to LAN attendees only to help reduce traffic. We'll have a process for marking larger items (laptops, desktops, monitors, etc.) so ensure that people enter & leave with their own equipment. We recommend you take the same precautions as any BYOC/LAN event:
Don't leave small, loose items unattended. Make use of Kensington Locks (or other types) to lock items to your desk if you think it's necessary. That being said, for any event like a BYOC there is always a risk when bringing your own gear and LTX is not responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items.

    Hope this helps!

I've got a pair of PNY 240gb 3D nand drives in mine, they work with the raid and fully saturated the sata interface, about 280MB/s but it feels so so much better.
Linus's video also flashes the component out dongles when talking about the tuner, I dont have the tuner but the dongles and remote work great!

For wired vs wireless: wireless 2.4GHz (using a USB dongle) should be fine. Bluetooth might add a bit of latency but it may or may not be noticeable depending on the genres of games and if you plan to play competitively. Most modern wireless boards have both options anyway.

For specific keyboard brands, it's hard to go wrong with Keychron. They offer all the high-end features that used to be the domain of turbonerds like CNC machined chassis, hot swappable switches, noise dampening gasket etc. in lots of different layouts and wired or wireless options. I have the Q6 which is the wired, 100% layout but there are plenty to choose from.

    Hi,
I saw your answer on a thread related to this topic.
Actually my keyboard stopped working recently and I've that all the rgb effects are working but the keyboard can't be detected by the pc.
1 key row is not working at all even when i press any key from that row, the Lighting effect doesn't work means that there is a problem with that row.
I wanted to ask what could be the issue. I even swapped this dead diode but still there is no response.
1: Keyboard wire seems okay because i used software to change RGB effect and it was working.
2: Keyboard is still responding to on board RGB shortcut commands.
3: only one row is completely dead and it's not giving any response like when i press other keys i can see the keyboard RGB is working but this 1 key row has no response at all.

Finally built the qk65 that's been sitting on my shelf a while
Switches: keebfront DOOM switches lines with tribosis 3203 gazzew style with dialectic grease on the leaf.
    Keycaps : KAT Kata
Stabs: TX stabs lubed with dialectric grease
    Mods : force break mod
This build is also Abit heretic as there is no foam at all on this board which kinda feels illegal on a qk65 but it sounds pretty good. And definitely different from your typical marbly qk

I build this NCR 80 out for a colleague of mine:

I originally intended for it to use Kailh White Owl switches and some white/beige SA profile keycaps, but neither of those things arrived on time. So I guess that will wait for part two.

For now the keyboard uses Drop + Invyr Holy Pandas and Glorious PBT keycaps. The color of the keycaps definitely clash with the retro look of the case, but I do like it in a strange way I can't really describe.
It's also weird for the NCR 80 kit to come with LEDs for num lock and scroll lock, considering that this keyboard contains neither key.
I probably should also say that the hotswap version of this kit isn't all that easy to build if you use an ISO layout, as you need to move some of the hotswap sockets to other holes by de- and resolder some of them.
