  1. Well I use my own gitlab server for stuff like automation not privacy, all of the projects are set to public so google "seeing" my data doesn't bother me much, I'll start looking into google drive then.
  2. There seem to be lots of options, I have a gitlab server and some other stuff like game servers i'd like to back up offsite, what are my options? I'm looking at about 15 gb per gitlab backup, so maybe a couple hundred gigs in total so i can store say, every monthly backup for a year? I've heard of people using stuff like google drive, and gitlab appears to have support in gitlab for automatic uploading to places like AWS. I Wouldn't mind very slow upload / downloads, if that helps at all with price, I just want the cheapest possible option thats still reliable
  3. "Multi-core enhancements" was enabled in the bios. I have disabled it which appears to have put out the fire that was in my case. it now runs at 70 degrees under max load. however task manager no longer displays 5ghz which I did kinda like... So would it be "safe" to now go and manually set the Multiplier to x50, without changing the voltage?
  4. I shall go into the bios looking for overclocking and strike it where it stands.
  5. I shall continue uploading images with information I dont understand in the hopes someone smarter than me will find something useful The core voltage in CPU-z goes between about 1.36 and 1.33 volts. Manually overclocking to lower the voltage sounds promising.
  6. The case only has space for 1 120mm fan at the top, its a NZXT H500 Black (which im kinda thinking is too small with hindsight), I can fit a 240mm rad in the front though.
  7. I dont really understand these numbers, but is this what you want?
  8. The main reason I was considering an AIO is it would give me alot more space back, mounting the rad in the front. I could then mount a fan in the top of the case
  9. No, the gap between the top of the case and the DH 15 is too small.
  10. yes, 5ghz, haven't touched any overclocking settings.
  11. The stress test was done with the fan curve set at 100% speed at all times, I manually set all fans to 100%
  12. Under an AIDA64 stress test, i thermal throttle by about 15% avg, as you can see: This is my case layout, Due to restrictions with the ram dims and the case side panel, I couldn't fit the second noctua fan on the DH-15 cooler, so I mounted it to the front of the case. I configured all of the fans to intake air from the front, and push it through the dh-15 exhausting out of the back. I cant fit a normal sized fan on any of the exposed sides of the dh-15, but I'm looking at an RTX 2080 and need to upgrade my cooling to cope with the increased case heat, I was thinking replacing the dh-15 with a 240mm AIO mounted in the front of the case, but I'm open to suggestions.
  13. Im on windows 10 pro 1809, I got the update automatically without doing anything to force it, and Dark theme works for explorer.
  14. I'm very much not an audiophile, I'm using a pair of logitech g933 wireless headphones atm. I have quite a few devices that i want to have channeled through to my headphones at the same time. (TV, PS4, PC, Second PC), currently I make this work by using a 5m 3.5mm cable going into the line in on my pc, and passing it around to devices as needed. I'm looking for a hardware solution to connect my two pc's, my ps4 and my tv into my headphones at the same time, but without the noise i get from my current solution (It sounds like some kind of feedback from the motherboard, I can hear things like my mouse moving), also it would be nice to have separate volume control for them, I'm not looking for much in terms of quality, I just want the noise gone. Another thing I dont understand, which maybe you nice people could shed some light on. How come some devices play surround sound through my headset over usb, some sound like surround over the single 3.5mm cable, and some don't play through surround going through a single 3.5mm jack. how does "faking" surround work? and how would any possible solutions you come up with for the above problem work with surround? I guess for actual recommendations you guys would need some kind of a budget, I've got £2-400 to spend on this, but I'm really not too fussed about quality, so long as the annoying noise is gone and very bass-y sounds dont get cut off like they currently do with my solution. (Watching The Expanse on Netflix, through a 3.5mm cable from my tv to the line in on my pc. every time a ship flew past the camera the sound just cut out)
