  1. The ROG X570-E is a super high end but obviously overpriced board. Is there any high-ish end X570 board (or B550 for that matter, I really just need 1 pcie 4.0 m.2 slot, however more is always better) that has similar features/is as good as the X570-E and at a better price? For me, it's a clear winner in terms or rear I/O (all 8 USB ports are at least 3.2) and I need it to have a front panel USB-C plug, a feature that ASUS charges 60$ more for in the B550-E board versus the B550-F Gaming Wifi (the board I was considering until I realized it didn't have that plug). I do not plan on doing any serious overclocking (or any at all).

  3. Hmm okay that's good to know. Should I just stick with the Seasonic PSU I had planned (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073GWKDVM?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1)? I know they're the holy grail of PSUs
  4. Why is it not a good price and how is it entry level? I've had a good experience with EVGA PSUs and $100 is after a ~30% deal for both
  5. Newegg has killer deals on EVGA PSUs right now (not sponsored lol) and there are 2 PSUs, the Supernova 750 G5 and G+, but I do not know which one is better. Should I take advantage of this sale and if so which of the two is better?
  6. HI! I've had this question on my mind and it's something I would factor into the build I am planning. Is there any performance loss on having a singular drive (say 2tb SSD) where the OS and everything else is installed on it (games, programs, etc.)? Would that "wear out" the drive more quickly and make boot times and loading screens longer? The only advantage I can think of for this configuration is more future expandability if it is an NVME drive. Am I completely wrong and there is no difference between that setup and a boot + games/storage setup?
  7. Watch the whole video and see if you are having the same issues. If you aren't then at that point I'd say its maybe the GPU or MOBO. Hoping for the best though so I hope its just static!
  8. JayzTwoCents has a video on this. I'm willing to bet the culprit is static electricity and nothing else. The monitors are flashing when you move the GPU because, well, you aren't really supposed to be doing that while the PC is on.
  9. I've tried looking this up, but I can't seem to find any answers. Does anyone know if Direct Storage will only be functional with PCIE 4.0 drives or if 3.0 devices will suffice? I do want to take advantage of the feature for my next build for when games start implementing it, but a 4.0 drive is much more expensive than a 3.0 drive, and the money I can save can go to better use if it isn't exclusive to 4.0. Thanks!
  10. I may be wrong but 400$ will not get you a build that can provide good graphic design and gaming performance unless you are cranking down graphical settings. Your best bet is to upgrade the motherboard and CPU now and save up for a GPU upgrade later down the line. You also mentioned you live in Venezuela, so there is very little chance 400$ is going to manage even that with the prices over there. I would honestly just keep saving and maybe upgrade your storage to an larger SSD since that's the best, cheapest upgrade for any system.
  11. Hi! The general consensus to my question when I looked it up was that if the drive I want to clone is not the OS drive, I just have to copy paste all the files from the old one to the new one (including hidden files). This seems simple enough, but please correct me if I am missing something. I did have a few scenarios I need clarity on: The HDD contains a steam library folder for games I don't play as much. When I install the new drive, (Steam is installed on the C drive but all libraries are on separate drives) what do I need to do to make Steam point to it? The drive also contains Fallout: New Vegas and all of its mods. I use Vortex to manage them, but it is also installed on another drive (for games that I mod and play more often). Same thing as the first question, how do I not screw up my mod management when I install the new drive and have Vortex recognize where the mods are? Reconfiguring everything would be a pain in the ass These are my main concerns, but let me know if there's anything similar I should be aware of! Thanks!
  12. went for 3200 MHz as I'm not really that nitpicky over a handful of FPS that I can gain by turning down some settings I usually turn down when I game (stuff like depth of field, motion blur, etc.). If there's differences beyond just that between the 2 speeds then let me know for sure!
  13. Of course everything will fluctuate but I meant end of the year at the absolute max. if everything goes my away I see myself building this in the summer. I'm waiting to see Intel's response to AMD and the new NVIDIA stuff tomorrow, but I don't see myself needing a 3080ti (as much as I'd want one lol) or anything else above a 3080.
  14. Waiting till the end of this year to build at the absolute max. This build shouldn't be "obsolete" by then, and if it was, it'll be much less expensive.
