You can downclock the ram to 1333mhz.

It will just clock it down, or even use the 1600mhz. Depends on the motherboard i guess. You could reduce the mutliplier of the pentium and jump up the baseclock to get the 1600mhz, if you want them.

The cpu can support higher memory speeds than 1333mhz. The 1333mhz spec is just Intel being on the safe side and not over-promising.

    Thank You!

  2. Hello,

So being the muppet I am just checked out on amazon with 1600mhz  ddr3 ram when the cpu I brought only suports 1333mhz ( Intel pentium anniversary G3258 ) apart from wasting money on faster ram that my system will never use is this a problem?

    Thanks

    Hello LTT Community!

Today I ask of you again for some help. I've been having trouble with my build again. It seems as if my motherboard HD Audio isn't working.

Before you ask, I have enabled it in the BIOS and have the VIA drivers for the audio, and it's the front panel audio that isn't working.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the motherboard or if it's a Windows 10 problem, but here's the part list with links to each:

    CPU: AMD FX 6300 OC'd to 4.0Ghz

    MOBO: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3

    CPU COOLER: Zalman CNPS8000B

GPU: nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW

    OS: Windows 10

Case: Rosewill R102-P-BK (not sure if it matters, but whatever)

    Any help appreciated.

True that - the only problem now is that people are already getting hyped and given how Battlefront looked like - I will wait for it to be available on Origin Access :)

No doubt battlefront is a amazing looking game but I think stopped playing after a month.

Not me, had enough of getting hyped for shooters. We all know that 99% it's going to be some futuristic shooter with weapons and vehicles made up of someone imagination.

I'm a massive battlefield fan but if the game is futuristic and doesn't set it self apart or do something different I will not be buying it.

World Premiere? Are they serious? You can barely call it an announcement coz everyone knows it is coming...

    Get your shit togerher EA.

Yes everybody knows there's a new battlefield game getting release but not when or where the game is set.

    Hi,

Just wondering if theres a way to combine two video files without having to re encode them, due to time and quality loss.

The video files I want to merge have been already encoded with my same custom handbrake settings.

Any suggestions or feedback would be great.

    Cheers.

I would recommend just getting the i5 6600 non k model not going to be doing much over clocking with the 212 evo. Unless you plan to upgrade to a aio later down the track.

    Hi there,

I have a Samsung LED TV with one HDMI port. I keep my set top box connected to the TV all the time. But, while watching TV, if there if a power cut, after the power comes back, the TV does not recognize the set top box which is connected to the TV, and shows "NO SIGNAL". However, It again detects the set top box when I do a power on/off from the switch.

I have replaced both HDMI cable and the set top box, but it's still the same... Please help...

Was the power outage planned by your utility's provider or did something else cause it? i.e.. tree fell on power line

I have the same switch connecting my office to the rest of my network and I get 1Gbps no problem. Have you checked all of your cables to make sure they aren't bad or creating a loop anywhere (these switches don't have STP)? Are you sure you don't have an IP/MAC address conflict on your network? Have you tried running a file transfer and unplug the other devices to see if ti helps? Maybe you have a bad switch/port? Try to RMA it and see if the replacement acts the same.

    I have 3 TP-LINK switches (1 5-port, 1 8-port w/ POE, and 1 8-port w/o POE) and I get the full line rate during iperf tests.

I opened up a couple ports on my modem and that fixed it :)

    Hello,

I've been trying to find a tread or even anything on the web. That will show different gaming rig builds and test them on games after to shoe their performance/FPS.

I'd like to see what a given combination of parts will give you in terms of game play.

    Thanks

Besides looking up benchmarks theres not much else. And when it comes to gaming performance you really on need to see benchmarks for the CPU and GPU

As a guy, who never done anything near soldering, i had that problem once. I just cut the bad piece out, desolated the ends of both pieces, twisted them together and isolated them with eletrical tape. not pretty, but worked as long as i had my laptop.

From what I could see it's fibre with a thin metal or similer braided sheath. I'll see if anybody else has any ideas before I try anything.

    Thanks :)
