control each fan individually? you're looking for a fan controller like NZXT's Sentry 3
most hub or splitter just splits the signal to all fans, so they run at the same speed
Yeah where I live tends to get quite cold most nights. And the ambient temp of my house is usually the temp inside the case. The cold really doesn't bother me so I might just have 1 intake and exhaust on plus my aio cpu cooler. One thing I can't stand is a noisy pc so having minimal fans on is a big plus for me.

i would like to know if someone in india has found a way to get parts for an open loop
i have been looking for a lot of time .It would be great if someone could help
If you can't source your parts locally might have to go international.

Hello, Could you guys/gals recommend a good 4 pin fan hub/splitter that can control up to 5 fans and able to set custom fan curves on each fan.
Thanks

Make you you use hot glue used for diy stuff like fixing wooden panels in place and such. The first hot glue I used apparently was for arts and crafts and didn't hold up very well. Proper glue has it stuck there for over a year with me bumping into it a few times.
Okay i'll keep that in mind when I head out to the hardware shop

Use a decent hot glue gun. It'll hold the weight of a fully loaded power bar, and is easily removed with some heat(hair dryer for instance)

Thanks you i'll give the hot glue ago!

Yesterday I could play CSGO at 160-200 fps. Today I installed Avast antivirus and made a system scan. It asked me if I wanted to improve PC Performance by changing some settings automatically. I thought "sure. what can go wrong?".
Well... now CSGO runs at 50fps. I don't know what changes they made.
I am at my computer for the next few hours so if somebody knows how to help we could use teamviewer.
my Laptop:
Geforce GTX 850M
i7-4710MQ
16GB RAM
250GB SSD
1TB HDD
Windows 10
Please help me. I'm frustrated.
Please never let anyone remotely access your pc unless you know them IRL!

Its... a little bit more than hundreds....
depends on the size of your case and the quality of the paste.

After nvidia revealed the new 1080 and 1070 cards, I decided to postpone my build and wait for a 1050 or 1060.
However, a friend of mine has been wanting a PC for a while and he's not really ready to wait. He wanted to get a 750Ti or 950, depending on how much money he has left, but I was thinking, when the 1070 comes out next month, will the 970 get a huge price drop? I was thinking that waiting for just a few weeks and getting a possibly cheaper 970 for him would be better. Also, how well will the 970 perform with the i3 - 6100? Should he get a slightly better processor? (He wants Skylake, not the older ones)
i5 6400 and a 970 is pretty good combination. Wouldn't recommend putting a i3 with anything higher then a 950 or 370.

So I got thinking, thermal paste is pretty good at conducting heat.... soooo....
What if... stay with me...
You took a computer, fully functional with a graphics card and cpu, took off the coolers for both of them, and just filled the case to the brim with thermal paste. I Know, I know, coolers depend on surface area with a great many number of fins to dissipate the heat, but I think with that much thermal paste, a filled case would at least compete surface area wise with it depending on the case.
Just thought this would be a great crazy idea that id love to see the channel do or at least would love to have a conversation about just to emphasize how silly an idea it would be outside of the obvious unwieldiness.
Could actual work you'll have to try it and post results. That's if you wanna spend hundreds to fill a case!

considering the G3258 only has two cores, it can get quite far with a decent air cooler like the evo 212, with an aggressive fan curve on the stock cooler, you can probably get to a decent overclock to around 4~4.5 GHz.
See here:
Thank You! I have a old 212 evo around here somewhere, Unless I put it in my cousins rig.

Hello,
So some time this week I plan to OC my pentium G3258, I have to wait until pay day to get another Corsair H100i AIO so if anybody could share their G3258 OC'ing story's and any advice it would be greatly appreciated . And how far you can push it on the stock cooler.
Thanks

Try bending up slowly with your fingers first then pliers. If you manage to bend straight check to see if all the connection tabs are intact and still fights in the tab on your device.

You can use faster RAM, you may need to overclock your CPU to support it at 1600MHz.
You also need to make sure your motherboard supports faster RAM and also higher voltages, if necessary.
Yes I've got a mate who's going to help me. He said around 4.5ghz is a nice oc for the pentium G3258.
Need some help with hdd
