  1. Im looking into a 'how to do it myself' method, this is a very good idea! Untill now I have only considered making 1 full piece, which has been bugging me a lot Making seprate panels might be a better idea! I have not worked with a sheet metal yet tho
  2. This is my fallback option, I would love something that could fit on the back, maybe even painted orange. Unfortunatly I haven't found a 3D printer that can print as large as the casing is and is still payable, most 3D print websites are way to expensive (300-500 euro's for just a cap)
  3. Hi! My current setup makes it so that I can see the back of my desktop, which isn't a huge deal, but I don't like the fact that I can see all the wires. I am looking for something that I can make/buy to put on the back of my pc to hide cables without compromising the airflow, any ideas? This is my pc: This is the back, i want to cover the left part, or if possible, the whole casing.
  4. Checked everything, didnt see anything off, checked some videos online, noticed i might have made a mistake with the panel for power supply and stuff, so redid that, now nothing goes on anymore only the MOBO Light. help
  5. I will check that, is there something I need to keep in mind? I have a Corsair 650X, its nice and dynamic, but I also noticed i have 4 sections: It seems quite obvious where what goes right? Left side = Harddrives atc., bottom right is MOBO, top right is GPU (even tho i says CPU?)
  6. i7 8700k is plenty, for gaming you do not need a CPU beast, most games are GPU related, CPU will only be around 30-40% usage on a i7-8700k
  7. Thank you for your response, unfortunatly, the same result
  8. Hi! I just finished my build, after finding out that the RAM wasn't connected properly I thought I had it all ready to run. So I set it up, connected it with power & a monitor, fired it up, and everything seemed fine, the CPU lights went on,RAM lights wents on, MOBO went on. Than I noticed my monitor was not showing anything, after inspecting I noticed that the GPU was blowing extremely hard, and I don't have any lights on it so I dont know if it is connected properly. I checked multiple ports for the display port cable & for the DVI cable, I plugged them in my MOBO & GPU but none seem to react. I dont have any beeping sounds or indicators something is off. What could I check next, I am clueless as of why the monitor does not kick on. Below is my setup, I went for the NZXT H440 orange casing & my video card is the new RTX 2080.
  9. That one looks dope! did not know be quiet made cases!
  10. Thank you for your response I will definitly consider the upgrades, I found a K version for only 20 euro's upgrade so that is already a simple upgrade, the TI is way more expensive at this moment tho (200-300) euro's so I will need to reconsider that one. Do you have any tips on going for 'extra' devices like a sound card, would that improve sounds with a Logitech G933? Or other techy devices for controlling the RGB lights? I forgot to mention that I bought an Asus ROG PG279Q a while ago when i upgraded to the GTX 1080, for that 144hz 1440p gaming experience
  11. I know the K version means it can be overclocked, but I am wondering if that would actually be notice-able during gaming for example
  12. Why do you recommend the k version? I do not know if the extra performance would actually give me any noticeable benefit, and the K version is 50 quid more expensive, this also goes for the TI version, I am not sure I would fully use the 2080TI, since I am not even using the 1080 to its fullest
  13. Hi! I have been using this setup, more or less, for the past 5 years, the last year or so I have been considering replacing it. The problem is that I am always very indecisive of what I want to go for as a setup. I have made up my mind mostly about the price range for the 'internal' of the PC, this would be around 1500 euro's +/-. Do still wonder if the combination is the best for me. I want the setup to be orange colored because that is my main color & I love that color The thing is, I do not have space on my desk top place the PC, if I do I lose the main source of light in the room which I do not want to lose. Placing the pc under the desk is an option but I do not want to go for a tainted glass or even something fancy than because I am afraid you won't see it and its a waste of money. I have seen a dope liquid cooled orange setup by Thermaltake, but I cannot seem to find someone who can help me build this beast, I have experience building pcs (build my own & for a couple of friends) but all are standard desktop setups, noone of em are like this fancy Wall PC. The one I am very enthousiastic about is this one: https://www.google.nl/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjswoyK6u7dAhVSLFAKHUjrDs4QjRx6BAgBEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kitguru.net%2Fcomponents%2Fcases%2Fjon-martindale%2Fcomputex-thermaltake-shows-off-new-cases-with-custom-builds%2F&psig=AOvVaw3quwnba3mUh2NiFWSY7rsC&ust=1538812660164987 My Current setup involves: CPU: I7-4770k 3.5 GHz ( Overclocked to 4.4 GHz ) GPU: Geforce GTX 780, 3 GB RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR3-1866 Main Harddisk: Samsung 256 GB SSD Gaming Harddisk: WD 1 TB HDD Work Harddisk: Samung 2 TB HDD Power supply: Corsair AC760 Water cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H80i Case: Thermaltake Level 10 Snow White Limited Edition After 2 years I upgraded my system a bit and bought another SSD of 256 GB and a new videocard, GTX 1080. Since my girlfriend is also building a new PC I will donate her my GTX 1080 and replace it with a RTX 2080 (what a shame haha). Could you guys be so kind to give me some feedback on my setup & maybe even recommend someone to build the PC for me, or maybe advice on if I should/could do this by myself. If I would do it myself I would probably buy a very standard base for now and buy the one for the setup right after to start building while using the pc in a different setup I will use the pc mainly for playing Virtual Reality & games, but also for programming, it might even be an option to go a step lower than I have chosen now due to me mostly playing First Person Shooters. The new setup I am looking for: CPU I7-8700 CPU Cooler NZXT Kraken X62 (met AM4 support) Moederbord Asus ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING RAM G.Skill 16GB Power Supply Corsair RM650x Case ?????? something orange GPU RTX 2080
  14. No problem! Books are really depending on your taste, there are so many out there! I have always been a visual person I need to see or hear it before I can imagine how it works, books have never worked for me, not as the core of development anyways. I would suggest keeping it simple YouTube videos and things like code academy and pluralsight really helped me! Also practice makes perfect, as long as you keep criticizing on your coding behavior, speed etc. You will grow
  15. Game devs is a completely different target audience than gaming tho. Gaming isn't a audience, you should explain which games, what genres etc. FPS will ask for a gaming headset with surround sound, LOL will ask for a less speaker higher intensity headset, WOW could do with a cheap headset.
  16. I have finished my Game Development studies 2 years ago. Currently working as a web/application developer due to job availability and low pay in the Game Development branche, still an amazing branche to learn in and you can go anywhere from there. Since you are already learning C++ go for Unreal it has a C++ supportive system, Unity is only Javascript/C# minded (yes coffeescript as well but thats just a joke). You can still go for Unity later, if you know how to do C++ it's quite easy to learn C# with the knowledge you already have. You do not have to master it at all, you can be specific in a certain subject like Artificial Intelligence (AI), User Experience (UX), Heads Up Display (HUD) etc. etc. What you do need to learn are multiple languages, and since you are still studying my advice would be to learn all that there is, from the boring "how to make a character in 3D" to "how to make a texture" to "how to implement this in a game" to "how to make it move", even go for the networking department, so search/learn about REST API's, learn how to save data in databases etc. etc. You need to know a bit of all of this to be able to discuss it later with our colleagues, even if you are "just" the AI developer you should know how the animator & character designer made their characters, how the joint work, what vertices are, how many poly's you can have in the game etc. You can learn both at the same time, the best way to learn programming is by doing, so buy a book or follow some courses in subjects that interest you and learn by doing, atleast, that is how most people learn.
  17. Why do you think Sennheiser is the best? what are you using it for? Sennheiser is amazing for music & movie feelings, but for gaming its a real no go. Tell us a bit more about where/what it is for, and yes there are differences between 350 and 373 but they might not matter for your use.
  18. your image says intel, but your promotions say AMD?
  19. So, Starting next year I am going to move into my own house, freshly build everything new. We are making a domotica motivated house, so think of Google Home, Philips HUE, Sonos etc. We want to build 2 new PC's. Both of them with different things in mind but in the core based on gaming. I would like your thoughts for food, there is no real budget, but im not going to spend tens of thousands on a pc. PC 1: Completely new setup, starting from scratch. This PC is mostly ment for gaming, games like Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League and Wildlands will be priority. There will be some video editing, the doubt is still if it is going to be a fulltime job or a sparetime thing, but it feels like a sparetime thing. The wish would be to have multiple screens, the dream is 3 monitors good for all activities, curved would be amazing. For the color im going for blue/black or blue/white, the case i was looking at is: NZXT Phantom 820, Big Tower If it could be, as silent as possible would be nice! Pheripherals are all bought. For storage: Software I will have installed is W10, Siege, Wildlands & Adobe on SSD, prob some other programs as well like discord, my guess is 500GB would be enough for all the programs. We use a NAS for our document share system, so no need for bigass HDD's in it, we have 4TB for data which feels like enough, might go for 2TB because of a raid system but we are not sure about that, advice for a home network sharing system would be nice! PC 2: Is partly build already, have been collecting parts for the past year. Monitor : Asus PG279 1440p monitor GPU: GTX 1080 ASUS STRIX 1.7 ghz 2 SSDs: 256 GB SSD Samsung 840 evo pro and a 256 GB SSD evo 950. Pheripherals are all bought. This PC is also mainly ment for Games mostly like Rainbow Six: SIege, Rocket League, Wildlands but also VR games like Windlands & Onwards. It is also used for programming websites and applications with ASP.NET. Might run some VM's for testing purposses around my applications. I am going for Orange/Black theme with RGB lights, but I am still in doubt if RGB fits better with Black or White, Suggestions are welcome! I am looking for 2 sub monitors of approx the same size/look as my main monitor, mostly for programming used and Discord. Planning on buying a 3 arm monitor. Suggestions are welcome
  20. Everything is up to date, run a GTX 1080, fully up to date, all other software hasnt been touched manually just the default installation settings.
  21. It was actually my last option to pick, but it feels like the way to go
  22. Hi! Since the last update of Windows (The RansomCry) I have been crying every day. My PC used to start up within 3 seconds, it now starts up within 1 second with a nice blue screen. The messages I see most are: - Fault in nonpages area - Memory Management. There are a couple more, haven't written them all down, if they are needed for more info I will do that I have tried taking out 1 ram at a time, even have 1 ram active in 1 slot every time, but I have need been able to start up without any errors. What else can I try? Can it be a roll-back fix? or a reinstall fix? Thank you for your help in advance!
  23. Thanks for the help guys I'm going for a 850 Evo
