  1. Any chance of seeing the review today or within the next 20 hours? I would love to watch it before I decide to purchase tomorrow
  2. Would also love the Blade Stealth. I don`t need a mobile desktop, but a portable, sleek looking device!
  3. Another question would it be a legit option to opt for a MacBook Pro and use it with Windows 10 via BootCamp? Does anyone have experience running Windows 10 on a Macbook as a daily driver? Would you say "go for it" or rather don`t? I was just wondering whether or not that might be an option, since i really do like the build and design of the macbook-series, but I would want to use Windows I guess.
  4. hmm yep I gave it a closer look and it really looks quite good, still i think it might still be a little bit too big/heavy for me personally out of my other "prechoices" which one would you choose?
  5. Wow that sounds pretty neat to be honest I`ll definitely take a closer look Though I`m still unsure whether or not it`s actually the one for me... since origianally I wanted sth rather portable which does not need to be an entire Desktop Replacement. The msi looks great but maybe something a little more portable with a little less power would suit me better?
  6. Hmm around 1000 - 1500 € which equals around 1700 US Dollar while I don`t mind cheaper offers The msi looks pretty good, but how loud does it get, hows the battery life and buildquality? Might be a little overkill aswell performance wise?
  7. Yep my main tools are photoshop and illustrator, I sometimes throw in a little bit of Clip Studio Paint and 3DS Max from Autodesk/Blender Video Editing is something a very rarely do, so it`s not a definite must have Regarding the Surface Book I think it`s a great product, but I kinda don`t like the idea of covering all my shortcuts in Drawingmode (I rely heavily on them) and bringin an additional Bluetooth keyboard with me adding to the keyboardbase, which seems to be necessary for the surfacebook (battery, performance) feels odd. I hope that makes sense And not to forget it`s pretty expensive, though as I said, that`s not the main issue here, but saving some money is never bad right? Hmm thank you for the feedback, I`ll look into it, even though this one also seems to be quite expensive (you get a really nice device for it) but I`m feeling this might be a bit overkill for me? Since video editing isn`t my main focus
  8. Oh yeah I forgot this one in my list above I`m not sure about this device to be honest.. I feel like the original Surface line might satisfy my needs better than the book does, apart from the book having perforamnce to spare on the 3D/Gaming side? As I said I`m not sure, but it is defintiely an interesting one to consider
  9. Hello everyone, first of all I`m brand new to this forum and therefore apologize if I do commit any major sins Second thing (disclaimer): I`m german so please bear with my flawed language and feel free to ask if you don`t get my points. Now back to the topic: I`m currently searching for a very portable laptop/2 in 1/ultrabook/tablet which should more or less cover the following points: - under 4 and a half pounds or roughly 2 kilograms (with less being better ofc) (for the sake of portability) - preferably not larger than 14" but I guess 15" would be my personal limit (for staying portable enough) - the thinner the better - Battery should last for at least 4-5 hours while more is always better and very welcome - Build-quality should be more on the premium side, since I`m kind of sick of all thos cheap feeling and looking devices out there - the OS should preferably be Windows (10) but if there are good reasons I guess I could get by with another OS (Apple) as well - performance should suffice to run photoshop fluently with some background browsing and music, if possible room for some basic 3D-rendering would be very nice - if it can handle some light-weight gaming (casual League of Legends etc.) that wont hurt, but that`s by no means an exclusion criterion - the screen should be an IPS-panel with at least decent color-accuracy - if it`s going to be a "laptopish"-device then I`d like to at least have 2 USB 3.0, 1 HDMI/(Mini)DisplayPort to plug in my drawing tablet - if it`s going to be a 2 in 1 device then it should feature a pen and a decent pen experience (parallax, friction, pressure) - silent (I am willing to accept some fan noise if it`s necessary but it shouldn`t be too much) - Price should not be a main limitation (but ofc less is better) So as you can see I kind of have a pretty "clear" idea of what I`d like to have, but I`m having trouble choosing an actual device which would suit my needs best and this is where I hope some of you may enlighten me I basically want a well build, good looking, portable machine which has enough power to be my little creative studio on the go and fits the other points listed above to a certain degree. It`s not supposed to be a full workstation and does not need to replace my desktop entirely! Products which look interesting to me so far: - Surface Pro 4 (I`d go with the mid-config i5, 8 Gigs of Ram,256 GB SSD) - Razer Blade Stealth (looks like a very cool device and I`ve got to admit I kinda got hooked by the design) - Dell XPS 13/15 (I`m not really sure which config I should go with here exactly) - a MacBook Pro (I really like the build quality and appearance, but I don`t think those make a lot of sense If I want to use windows) - Vaio Z canvas (main question here: "Would the Surface Pro 4 make more sense for me?") - ASUS Zenbook UX305LA (looks like a great "bang for the buck" machine) Additional interesting Products till now: - Surface Book (not sure if the concept suits my needs) - Wacom Companion 2 (might be a little too loud) That`s pretty much the result of my "research" so far. Now if you have any recommendations or other devices I should take a look at, please feel free to share them with me! If you have had any experience with one of the devices above which makes you think it doesn`t cover my needs please shout it out loud (I don`t want to go spend my money on something, which won`t satisfy my demands) And least but not last: Am I going into the right direction with the devices listed above, or should I totally look into different categories?
